  1. Farragut without Jacob Johnson..... Maryville 30 Farragut 20
  2. Has Farragut improved enough to beat Bearden? Can they contain Delvin Young? Farragut 27 Bearden 26
  3. I have a bad case of heartburn....and not from the food.
  4. Maybe this thread should have been talking about Farragut's defense....or lack there of. Giving up 500+ rushing yards, in one game? Mr. Young is salivating .........
  5. The food at the Farragut game is fine. Typical for any high school. Riverdale fans don't eat too much.....the final score may give you an "upset" stomach when the Ads win.
  6. I wonder if he will attend another local HS to complete his senior year and play football.....
  7. They have a sophomore, Jonathan King, that is also their kicker. He came in late in the West game, threw one pass, and it was a beauty. If he can pass like that all the time I would really like to see get more reps at quarterback. Same for Freeman......came in late in the West game and ran very well. Would like to see him get more reps also.
  8. I hope Courtney looks at these posts. You are right on. Perez, Johnson & Freeman should be running the ground game and put Hudson more on defense. I believe the trio would add 2-3 TDs a game. But unfortunately I think we will see at the Riverdale game the same predictable offense with Hudson as the main back with his usual fumbles. (I think he had 2 or 3 in the West game) It seems the only thing that changes with Courtney is the team they play. I wonder what this team could do with a coach like Quales and his inovative game plan. Don't get me wrong, Courtney is a good coach with top skill players (Purty, Van Dyne & Browning). He will get you in the playoffs. But you need to do things a little different when you play the same team that beat you the first time or you will lose again.

  10. This game has very little interest. Have all of the West & Farragut supports given up on their team?
  11. If it's the same Farragut conservative offense, using the same offensive plays and players as last week against Catholic, West will win 21-20 (missed extra point). A more creative, varied offense led by their most skilled players, Perez and Johnson, I give the nod to Farragut 30-14.
  12. Farragut has given up 2 TDs (14 points) in the last Qtr in all 3 of their games (42 points). In the first 3 Qtrs combined only 4 TDs total (28 points). Is the defense worn out or what?
  13. I agree with your observations 100%. One of these weeks someone will figure out that Perez and Johnson are your RBs and Hudson should be on defense. In addition, it seemed they ran the same plays in all critical situations. In the second half Catholic knew what offensive play was coming on 3rd or 4th down because they saw it in the first half. It would seem that if you have a QB that is not known for throwing the ball effectively and have to rely on a running game, you need to mix up your ground game with some creativity.....end around, RB option pass, something different than running off tackle play after play. Unless the offensive gets a little more creative and keeps the defensive off the field a lot more.....well Riverdale, Maryville, & Bearden,,,,,,, you can guess what the result will be and it will not be close.
  14. Does anyone know if there are visitor stands at Catholic and about what their capacity is.....
  15. Too many people are thinking that Farragut's performance against DB was the real team. Not so.....DB is a very good team that played well. They will be one of the top Div 6A teams. Farragut played poorly and will make adjustments against OR. Even after their loss to DB they are still ranked #6 behind #1 Maryville, #2 Bearden, #3 McMinn County, #4 Dobyns Bennett, and #5 Bradley Central in East Tennessee from CBS Sports High School Ranking. Oak Ridge was #8 behind Ooltewah. FARRAGUT 24 OAK RIDGE 20
