Wow! What a huge mistake by supposedly one of the premier football programs in the state to hear them tell it! What reasoning ( or lack of )went in to this process? How can you not hire a person who is a winner and builds a championship program at Trousdale and beats the person you hire consistently. Good Luck to all!

Columbia Central Lions will have a strong team next season whole offensive line and all skill players back except for the belew boys. Looks like if they work hard this team could be back at Cookeville in 2012

Zac Tate from Columbia Central signed to play at Findlay University in Ohio.

He is just a Junior and he is being heavily recruited by schools all over. I wish I knew where 66in74 was getting his info. Tra'Darius Goff is a great kid, Great football player and will be successful in the future and you better watch for him Next year

This kid is an absolutely a STUD. 6'2 230 TB/ LB.. had over 28 TD's this year! He is physical and will knock your head off. This guy is already looking like a 2010 Mr.Football preseason favorite.

Probably because Central was playing with their 2nd and 3rd team quaterbacks. It never seems to amaze me that people talk before they now their facts and not taking anything away from Lewis County they are very well coached and talented group. Good luck to both teams.

Some of you guys need to wake up and smell the Roses! Some of the Coaches you mentioned posted only 3 or 4 wins and others 7 and 8 wins. When you think of Girls Basketball programs. Columbia Academy and Culleoka and Huntland are not programs that come to mind. Their coaches might be a breath of fresh air to your programs, but actually turning them into contenders.....Don't think so

Don't know if I would use that reasoning. Look at it ....Economy is bad, So money to go out and get a high profile coach was out of the question.They probably consolidated the two positions (AD and head Coach) -. . Who ever would have taken the job is going to struggle. Just not enough kids

I would seriously doubt they go after him. Also, why would they give it to Eddie Bassham didn't they let him go at MTCS? Is there not anyone on staff that can fill it?

Coach Leslie Mote resigned from Columbia Academy and has accepted a def. Cordinator job at Alabama Christian. He and his wife will be teaching there. Coach Mote is a great Coach and A great man. Good luck Coach. Tough Loss for CA.

It is time that people start giving credit where credit is due! Cornersville is one of the top 5 teams in the state this year. They have 9 solid hitters and three good pitchers when you combine those two it is hard to beat them! They have a real shot @ state tourney and going deep into the state if they can stay focused and keep hitting. I wish these ladies the best of luck. What a Joke of a tournament for the WHOLE Gold division. First, you put them at Cane Ridge with 325ft fences with no temporary fences. Second, you have three or four different mounds on each field. Third, no lines, no batters box (Some don't mind though) no picture circle, no foul lines. This is just very unexceptable when all these teams are paying big money to play in this tournament. Really wish if you are going to put on a tournament....do it right Softball lover

Hickman County will need to star searching for a new head football coach asap. He will go to Moore County because, those people love the Wing-T and that is his style. He is a great coach and people like him. It would be a good situation for him.
