Sorry Y2kg46 that you don't have the updated information on Coach Dorris he is coaching at Goodpasture where he graduated from and both his sons attend. Plus, he probably wants to help get Goodpasture back at the top. How can you honestly say that he is not ready just by looking at METRO numbers. Question have you been to McGavock? Have you been in their facilities? Have you been to their practices?.... Trust me he is ready and just like a lot of Great assistance coaches, they just need the opportunity.

Brent Dorris would be a Great Hire! He is on staff and graduate from Goodpasture! They need stabilty and need someone NOT looking to just use as a springboard to the next job.

Due to prior reports, OCAC.... it was offered and accepted...don't question my sources! Also, very surprising that two guys from Hickman Co. were going for the East Hickman job. Feel really bad for all the coaches who were involved in this debacle!

This thread is like a three ring circus! Seems like the latest talk is that 3 guys have been offered the same Head Coaching Job... strange but true... How likely is it that they did offer it to all three hoping that one turns it down? Smells like a rotten situation for those coaches involved.

The above guy mentioned was called and offered the job and accepted ….so no assuming here just facts Jack!!!

True, but those coaches that were on that staff are not there anymore. I understand it is jimmy's and joe's but good coaching goes a long way.

We shall see! He wasn't even a finalist for the job. Superintendent, who wasn't even retained hired him.

Wow!! Isn't it funny how silent this message board went.

This was a set-up crooked deal from the beginning. The finalist didn't find out they were a finalist until it was in the local paper. Then in the article it was stated that the superintendent added a person because he obviously didn't like who the committee recommended. Then they all interviewed on the same night and had to wait around in the same room. As I was told Pence was offered the middle school job and turned it down. Then ,he met with the other three and told them he would make a decision the next day at noon. Then, he called them at noon and said he was putting it off until Saturday. This whole situation was a STINKFEST!!!

Heard they narrowed it down to two finalist and final interview was last Tuesday.

When are they starting interviews? Looks like you would want to get a coach in there and let them implement their program.

Still nobody knows the other 3 this sounds a little fishy. Interview 15 candidates and tell them your gonna narrow it to 5 when really it is just two. Why even put everyone through the dog and pony show?
