  2. Ensworth beat Franklin 1-0 to keep a clean sheet for the year. Could be an interesting year for the young Tigers!
  3. Ensworth played DCA last night..... and won! Ensworth plays some school out of Williamson County tonight....Franklin! Could get crazy!! Ensworth plays Hillsboro tomorrow! Great to be back for another wonderful High School soccer season!!!!
  4. Cute. You little fellers have a great off-season and catch up with you next year and we can start all over again. Love this stuff! Peace!
  5. Wow, getting kinda personal there, little fella. You don't know me from Adam and apparently can't take a little funning when it comes to a healthy discussion of a variety of topics. I never talk about my own kiddos, individually and/or the successes (if any) that they have achieved. Better sign off for this year and let you cool off a little bit. Have a wonderful travel season and see you next year!
  6. Yeah, look at all your fans jumping in to support you.......I hear crickets!! All I know is that I was in Murfreesboro (The Dance) last weekend watching my little girl battle it out with other great teams in search of a Championship and I didn't see you anywhere around!! That's no "swing and miss", that's a dad gum HOMERUN!!!!
  7. This is too easy! Like shooting fish in a barrel!! Can't wait for next year!!! Peace be with you all!
  8. Hahahahahahaha!!! Appears I'm not the only one who makes obvious observations!!
  9. Oh, I thought YOU might have gotten you some hardware from the Big Dance back in 2003 or so! My bad! Well, its funny, our school has got em a few State Championships that my daughter was also not associated with too (football, basketball, track, etc)!! Ask David about that this weekend while y'all are eating seeds! (His daughter is amazing, by the way!) We did actually make it to The Dance this year in soccer (and my daughter was on the team) but came up a little short. Wish I could join you guys this Saturday and watch you play the D1 FL State Champs but I got a wedding that I have to attend. Doggone it! I also need to polish the 4 State Championship medals my daughter has from her travel days and watch my other daughter play in her D1 college Conference Tournament. Good luck Saturday! Moondog, you know we all just funnin' on here!!
  10. Haha! I know! Just trying to get a few more laughs in before this thing goes into hibernation for another year and we get to start all over with how unfair it is that the publics have to play with the privates!!
  11. So glad you got to see your daughter win a State Championship with you cheering on the sidelines! Bet that was really cool! We will try harder next year and hopefully get back there and see if we can win that thing!
  12. Ouch! Somebody can't take a little funnin'!! "Jerk"? Wow! A few folks think I'm an ok person, but no worries, I can take it like a champ. Pointing out the obvious is neat! I know several of these injured girls personally and many others who would have made a huge impact for their teams! Duh! The 3 programs I mentioned are superb institutions coached by amazing people! Injuries happen at every level in this sport. This is just a fact of the game. But whenever someone is proud on this here posting board for their team winning a good game, it seems that SOMEONE has to point out that the game would have been different if "little Susie" was out there on the other team. The programs that can make it through adversity and compete with the hand they are dealt should be commended! Maybe ya'll can make it to The Dance sometime in the future and see what its like!! It's pretty cool!
  13. I bet he's a fine feller, but has anyone else noticed that most posts by PC claim that "if only this certain team" (i.e., CPA, USN, BGA, etc.) would have had their injured 'little Susie" who is an All-State, All-American, All-World, Track Athlete with unmatchable foot skills and knowledge of the game (I know cause she's on my daughter's State Champ travel soccer team!), said team would have won that game right there! By the way, Boog, had a heck of a game against Baylor in the Semis! 0-0 through regulation, 2 OT's and 2 sudden death periods! Lost in pks to a very talented bunch! Curtis has done an amazing job with those girls and as you mentioned, it was just awesome getting to experience the atmosphere at The Dance!
  14. Thanks, Boog! Sorry about the Irish and sorry to see CPA out too! We are headed out to Murfreesboro this afternoon (1st time in school history) to take on mighty Baylor!! We'll see what happens and enjoy the ride!!
  15. Maybe Nutcrusher will crawl back into a hole and wait for next year to start the argument all over again!!!... And maybe whoever he represents might actually make it to The Show and he will have some skin in the game!!
  16. I would love for Ensworth and ND to play! That would be fun! Maybe next year!
  17. I know this is not a Div II AA thread but just wanted to say that Ensworth is just glad to be participating in this wonderful tournament! We are in unchartered territory as the girls soccer program has never made it to the semis!! Proud of our girls and coaches on reaching this momentous occasion!! I wish all the participants good luck this weekend and hope for some great soccer!!
  18. abouttogetmessi, on 22 Oct 2015 - 10:58 AM, said: "The comics come the fact that every person on this thread that is saying A/AA should stay as it is private school background peeps. I played high school soccer for a top 5 private school in the state. I know how private schools are operated. My senior class had 3 college soccer commits and the class lower than me had 5. You find this nowhere in public schools in A/AA." Congrats to you and your opportunity to play for a top 5 private school in high school! I would be willing to bet that the 3 commits in your class and the 5 in the class below you got noticed because of their "travel team" experience, not because they played on one of the top 5 private schools in the state. My point AGAIN was, to make it to the championship or make a deep run, a smattering of "travel" players on your team (who have experienced year round training) sure helps regardless of if your team is public or private!
  19. And the parent of a player that has actually played "travel ball". Do you even read the posts or topics? The topic is what it takes to win a championship or make a deep run. You also mention somewhere in these comical misfit quotes that PUBS, White House and Page have made deep runs to get to the semis in the past 5 years. I'd say that's not too shabby. Just haven't pushed that ball across the goal line! They make em play that final game and don't just automatically hand the championship trophy to the PRIVATE team! If a public school actually WINS the A-AA Championship, it will ruin the annual regurgitation of all these whiny posts!! What else in the world would we have to talk about???
  20. Didn't know they had a "public school trophy"!! Interesting!! Gotta check out what that thing looks like! Is it like a participation thing?? Like PJM says, forget about the pub/priv debate and get ready to watch some good soccer in Murfreesboro soon!!
  21. Here we go again! Seems like EVERY thread has to turn to the whiny "whoa is me" public v. private saga!! It appears to me that every fairly "good" team in the State (public, private, AAA, A-AA, Div I, Div II) has a few "travel" players sprinkled among their squad. These girls play year round and "kick it up a notch". Check the public schools in Williamson County.
  22. Cute. Was merely responding to your repeated Overton "jab". I am sure that you will agree that when you schedule games, you don't pick the outcome. David and/or Ricky are not going to rethink scheduling games based on a past score. I'm sure Coach Wright will secure a perfectly fine schedule next year that will challenge the girls!! We played Franklin 1 year and beat them 1-0. The next year we scheduled Franklin and they beat us 11-0. Oh well, you win some, you lose some! It's about learning from the experience! I know you are relatively new to this whole "High School" thing (think your girl even played as an 8th grader - Congrats!), and recognize its not quite the same as travel, but it can be a fun experience for the kiddos if the parents will just stay out of the way!
  23. I, like David, support all private schools in Div II! I love playing ALL the schools in our Division and any other team in the state (public or private) for that matter! Like the great philosopher, Boog says, playing against better teams make you better. We don't whine and complain when we get destroyed! We learn and we move on. Not sure what your point is. What does Ensworth believe "at its core"?? Educate me. Did you actually read the lil feller's chain of comments? He's almost up to 10 comments in his career on Coach T!! Regarding your little Overton snip, our amazing coach has already explained the scheduling issues that occurred during this year! Can't let that one rest, can you? Check our schedule over the last few years. You'll notice the competition wasn't too shabby! Think we actually played your high school team a few years ago in a pre-season game and whew, kinda reminded me of the Overton game! I know your daughter plays on David's daughter's travel team and hope you have a great season after high school ball. Oh well, we are preparing for another run at State and hope for our first ever Championship!!
  24. Great point, hig71798! Can't win em all! But SputNic wants a Championship in Soccer (don't care bout no hoops) for all Div A-AA PUBLIC teams but these dad-burn privates keep winning em all!! He better tell the TSSAA that dem privates are practicing too much in the off-season! Ain't fair cause I know the privates have better weather where they live!!
