I told everyone in this forum two years ago allowing him to come back was a BIG mistake! Now the program will fall well below what it would have had he not been allowed to come back!

If what I was told is correct we are going to need a whole barn lot full not just a stable. Who else was involved? This could be a program killer!

What are we going to do now with our starting QB and two starting DB's now gone for the season? Will O'Conner let them back on?

With the extra year under his belt I think Cobb has the possibility to become an excellent player and perhaps an even better QB. I wouldn't be surprised if he has major interest from DI schools coming in. That's if he gets the attention he deserves.

Has Cobb recieved any scholly offers as of yet?

Well, since my other cats couldn't slam jam their way into the state tournament I guess I'm back into the swing of football season. Didn't know if he'd quit and came back and took it out on our boys by making them practice a few "early" days or not. Thanks for keeping me updated.

Should have pretty good punt catching ability. Not that Richland will field many punts. Neither will/would happen. Best you guys can hope for is Ricky Taylor success. Unless he turns into Lou Holts, taking a tried and true baseball guy that never played a down of football, never studied the game except for Thursday nights but was just glad to be a part of it is never going to yield results. They will never shut down Football at Richland!

Wesley is. What is Jackson trying to do with or at Richland? Is he intentionally trying to keep Richland down? Another poor, poor choice of head coach at Richland!

With the large amount of talent departing after this year, what will be left for next year? Will O'Conner be gone again or will that drama stay? I just don't see Giles returning where they were two years ago with the depletion of talent and his lack of desire for coaching here.

It's always something with ole Rock! It was an extremely good game and Giles did better this year (especially down the stretch) than any of us expected. You Greenville fans will just have to over look her! Congratulations on your year!

O'Conner has to go! The longer he is in this program the more we are going to suffer! Said it six months ago and no one listened. Can use all the young team blah blah blah but to do what he did then Hastings allow him back was not only a major distraction but will hang over us as long as he's here. I do give him credit and lots of it for turning the program around but him being here is taking it back to the level it was 10 years ago!

We've got Hickman County and though I don't want to seem as though we are looking past them I am concerned about Marshall County. This comes especially after seeing how the Lincoln County Lawrence County game was played. I'm afraid our boys wont be up to the bell for Marshall. Our coaching has taken a slight slide for the big games.

Well, I wish the Giles County coach would have stayed over there instead of coming back here. I do think he would have taken Lincoln County to the next level but as of Friday night the tradition there seems to be intact!

Since East and Hickman Co. are not going to be much of a contest I was wondering on the insights for Marshall County. It's been quite from there and wondering what you guys think of the match up?

Ah, the true "Tide" fan is coming out in you! I never said I was a Holt fan. I just simply stated that before he arrived Giles County basketball (boys) had never attained the winning status it has over the past 20 plus years. That, Tide fan, is a fact. What you have failed to realize is the kids who would not be playing for Parker are playing for him and while there were many years of empty seats surrounding Deere stadium Holt's teams ALWAYS have had standing room only crowds! Still, Smith wasn't as good as advertised so I don't understand your jealousy of him? I never did like him as a student or basketball player but he was good and I will give him credit for that. He was and is a product of the system. That system is the same used at most other schools. GET THE PROJECT KIDS TO PLAY! Same as in Football now!

Your sad puddy tat! All I've said is that Hastings truly messed it up for us by allowing O'conner to come back. Besides looking like Bafoons our program is only going down hill! As for your partner in ignorance, just because Lincoln County is a 6A school doesn't mean we shouldn't have beat them! Products of our school system of not so far ago I guess!

Nooooo and Nooooo Second round of playoffs and we are done! Next year 7 win season and that will be the best record we will have for next several years!

Were going to be in for a long long haul! Not only should we have beaten Lincoln but we should have been up by 28 at least two quarters earlier against Lawrence. I'll say it again. Hastings should have never allowed him back! Were going to go down now and just be a mediocre team from here on out!

My point is simple. They were in 3A for about 10 years and were still in 3A when he got there. Didn't matter! He still won right out of the gate! Simple. And, we've already met!

Dad Dad Dad Where have you been the past couple of decades? Or, say, a few years before he became coach? Have you been ? You must either not remember, been there or too young to know much about Giles County basketball. Yes, they were playing a higher division before he got there BUT and that is a huge BUT they were also 3A out of only three classifications when he got there and immediately they produced more wins and advanced further than before! If you really knew anything about G.C. basket ball you would know that immediately after his arrival he began letting the team play "street ball" and by doing so had the athletes who would not play start to play. Ummm, I think it's best you stick with commenting on football. Though your not all that intuned with it either you do have just a tad more knowledge about what is going on now. But then again, you show just how much you know when you start typing.
