  1. Its in the 3A & 4A forum. Maybe you should start one on this forum seeing as how you are concerned about it.
  2. I'd say his goal in life didn't involve impressing you. There was some adversity for last years team but they over came it. When a boy's bone is sticking out of his finger and he comes back 2 games later with a win and then another win a week later to seal the region championship, I would call that a gamer. But what do I know. On to a different note, I hope the boys have prepared well this week as they will be facing a difficult task on Sat. Let's hope our DL can withstand their very large OL and our OL can give Chad enough time to throw and make some holes for our runners. Win or lose....lets hope they stay healthy. Go Raiders!
  3. Its hard to judge two different QB's that are on two completely different teams. It might be justified if they were playing with the same people with the same opportunities but they're not. But both are really good.
  4. True. Scott Parrot, who was the QB at Soddy while he was there, was very very good. And enjoyable to watch.
  5. It was not pretty. all you could see was the pearly white bone sticking out, no blood or anything.
  6. Very true considering he actually came out of a game last year with "an attachment" hanging by some skin.
  7. I dont think anyone on here has labeled him the best from Cleveland let alone one of the best in the nation(that came from people a little bit more qualified). We are just saying that he is a QB that has a bright future ahead of him. And that people shouldn't be so immature that they have to come on a message board to talk about an 18 year old and his family. Some of us caught the maturity train and clearly some missed it by a mile.
  8. Either the Voytik family must have done something really bad to you or you have got to be the most jealous person I have ever heard. Chad is a good QB.....are there better? Probably. Are you mad at the exposure that he gets? If so, maybe you should ask yourself why it irritates you that an athlete gets some kind of recognition. What exactly is it that you dont like about him? And dont say "its not that I dont like him its just there are others better" bc if that were the case maybe you should be building those QB's up instead of tearing ours down. Also this could be some good exposure for some of our other guys too. Maybe this can aid them on their road to college. This season will go one of two ways: good or bad. But either way, it will go on. With or without your jealous comments.
  9. Cleveland didnt play great but anyone who plays Alcoa will face a challenge. Bradley did look very good though.....
  10. Very true! Whether we are good or we suck, you would think adults could get on here and contol theirselves enough to comment on the game and not the 18and under kids that play for us(or any team that is). Just another reason for us to say that Charlie Murphy is just a jealous person!
  11. I understand your not bashing him but if your a fan and it sucks seeing them down, instead of getting on here and talking about the coach. Get on here and say something positive because trust me the players do get on here and read these boards. If your a fan for life, go to the games(even when they are losing). If I am remembering correctly before Slaughter came in, they had not won a region championship in 7 years. It will take time to build the program up but i'm sure he is doing what he can with what he has.
  12. Good play on words What do you suggest that he do to improve the team??
  13. Heard this before....Seems like when you say Good luck to the Raiders and Go Blue, Your saying it in a condescending tone??? Guess we will add one to the hater list
  14. Not too much to say just yet. Anticipation is a killer! First week in pads was rocky. Scrimmage against Hixson was ok. Really showed what we have to work on but also showed some bright spots. I hear that yesterdays practice was much better. We have a scrimmage tomorrow and 7 full practice days left and then the fun begins.
  15. No just trying to beat the heat for a few days before school starts. Tomorrow will probably be the last morning practice.
  16. Not sure....I am heading to the school after work, I'll ask but I dont think it will. It would probably be better bc parking sucks when there are alot of people at the games.
  17. I didnt know that trying to give a kid praise for a great accomplishment would cause such an uproar. Anyway, I have been to see the team a few times and they are working hard(together). Their first scrimmage is coming up so we should get a rough glimps of what the team will look like. Maybe their hard work will pay off and things will swing their way this year.
  18. Maybe you read it wrong. You will find his name on the list. http://rise.espn.go.com/football/articles/2011/07/22-Elite-11-announcement.aspx?pursuit=Football
  19. Sounds like someone is a little bitter!? Chad is 6' not 5'10....and no one is saying that he is the best, just that he is good! And yes Bryce Copeland is very good as well! I actually love watching him throw the ball(just not against us). You keep making all these comments about money......if your son had great potential as an athlete, would you send him to every possible camp that you could?? As a parent who wants to see their kid succeed, I think you would. Do you think it is wrong that they send him to camps? Isn't that how athletes get better....practice? trying to get as much knowledge as possible?
  20. I am not saying he is the best. It just seemed like you were implying that the only reason he is where he is was because his family is a little more wealth than most. He does work hard to try to be the best. As far as the other 2 QB's that were coached by Slaughter(I assume this is who you are talking about), I was only about to see Parrot from Soddy. He was a very good QB and on top of that he was a character player.
  21. Your right money can buy alot.....but check out this link. http://rise.espn.go.com/Football/Videos.aspx?id=2c82d16f-7224-45f5-ad20-7367359b6eda Voytik is currently in the Elite 11 camp at Pepperdine University in Malibu CA. The coaches rank the QB's each day of the camp and for the first 3 days he was ranked at #1. But if you are looking for something negative I think he has currently dropped to #3. Today is the last day so we shall see how he does today. But considering he is in the top 11 in the nation, I think people who know alot more about football than you and I think Voytik is doing something right.
