  1. Congrats Alcoa Indians never quit great season it was an amazing run to watch this year
  2. Smh good one ... Throwd.... safe travels to you coming to the valley.... Happy Thanksgiving to all ...just thankful to still be watching high school football the day after regardless of the outcome
  3. Someone earlier ask if we still opened the game with an Indian spear chucker on horseback not this year ... nothing flashy to start the game....I'm still looking forward to this game even if the almighty Alcoa puts us country bumpkins in our place... but I believe this will be a closer game than most posters on here are predicting
  4. Tuning banjo up... maybe we'll see the scene from deliverance ... with warren betty being re-enacted by the ladies down by the 10 yard line Booger.... I'm sure the Coaches at Alcoa aren't taking us little ole country buskin's as lightly as their Posters in here... If they are it may make for an interesting start to the game...
  5. True lol... as one from the 1979 team that was 10-0 before losing to Polk county after defeating them in regular season... the pressure can get you if you don't stay loose . , but having a healthy team this late in the season is a bonus for the Indians... I'm sure this team will not be intimidated by the F5 .
  6. Thanks boogie as one who helped with the field prep over the years we are proud of the venue we have! Just hope this one stays as close as the first meeting of our schools 1988 was a 24-14 game that was closer than the score would indicate....
  7. Thanks Boog for pointing out the obvious.... I was a few pages behind on reading post.... this will be a game to remember win or lose for the Indians!!! Been underdogs most of the year, but these boys have a lot of fight in them yet!
  8. Looking forward to this match up of David va Goliath! We are scrappy and play with heart! This will be a respectable game and one that any Friday night lights fan will enjoy! Glad we are hosting as an alumni proud of the stadium we have and the atmosphere it creates !
  9. That was a true football fans delight to watch! Friday night! Go Indians remember David took down the Giant! Play with heart and you will earn respect !
  10. What a game both teams gave it there all Indians live to play another friday
  11. Not been on here in a few years but have always enjoyed the banter between Booger and Mtntroll... going to miss this rivalry next year... wish the Irish all the best tangling with the bigger Privates next year. We don't get teams like this often its special to watch the sons of the 1990 team have the same success as their fathers did...

  13. Sounds like the making of a great game! evenly matched teams! I hope Harpeth brings a good crowd. You will find good parking and one of the best stadium's in the state for high school football. Glad we are hosting someone new for a change in the playoffs!
  14. Got to agree with smeagle1 on this one they are the best .500 (2-2) team in the state!
  15. Both Teams demonstrated a lot of Class last night! The Indians gave noticed early that this was a football game and signal was going to have to step it up if the wanted to win. They did with great adjustments towards the end of the first half. I'm still proud of the effort our young men made in this game. You build a better program when you challenge yourself and play the best teams around. I see lots of good football being played between these two schools in the years to come!
  16. Field Drains great! it will be slick but shouldn't have any standing water on the playing surface! Cutting and sharp turns on the pass routes will be tricky for both sides hopefully the misting will stop so keeping a dry ball ready wont be a problem
  17. Wish the Bashers would stay away from our board there taking all the fun out of it for the rest of us! I'm with Omniscience though with this rain coming down now, covering at 40 point spread with be tough! I don't see the Indians getting shutout of the end-zone either! I see turnovers impacting the score in this game as wet as it looks to be tonight!
  18. True and we can't afford to let anyone get hurt ! So Hope its a clean played game!
  19. Now that's the Troll we have come to expect! but being short it's probably splattering all over his feet! you should really try doing that from on top of the bridge not under it
  20. It been great watching this group play this year! My son loved playing with you guys the previous years! Best of Luck in the playoffs and show the class that you have been known for all season tonight!
  21. Once an Indian Always an Indian! I hope both teams show some class and demonstrate better sportsmanship than most of the Adults( I use that term loosely) that have been trying to make this into more than it is! Friday Night Lights were boys become Men win or lose football builds character. We will see who's team shows the most class tomorrow night!
  22. Good Post! The countdown is own!!! we are just a day away from hopefully a classic football battle! Win or Lose both teams will remember this game for years! Rivalries are just that way! You ask any kid that's ever played ball in the valley whether it be for Sequatchie, Bledsoe, South Pitt, Whitwell or Marion and they will be able to remember THE GAME!!! that topped all wins for them during there career! I realize no one seriously gives Sequatchie no chance at all in this game! But Boys you have a chance to take down a Giant just like David did! the underdog role is not a bad one you have nothing to lose! I remember my freshman year it was late in the season we were awful 1- 6 going to Bledsoe Co. They were 6-1 . We won that game!!! Signal has hung a lot of points on some good teams, but no one is invincible! Play hard and bring your best to the field and you will stand tall in Indian history!
  23. Nice Post! Really hope most folks can put all the off the field stuff aside and just enjoy a classic football game played by two teams with tonnes of support and kids that have worked hard to have a good game every Friday night!
  24. Hosts a playoff game doesn't do much for revenue. the TSSAA takes the gate, pays the school for utilities and then the visiting team gets some help with travel expenses. Host school does get to keep concessions. Having home field advantage is the big plus!!
