Any time you want to call somebody a chump and liar better be able to back it up. Talk is cheap, especially from a house husband.

Ok playerscoach I did a little research on your storyline. I understand now. You are bitter about your son not being able to compete at BA and decided to pull your son at a lower level. And every time someone mentions the QB at BA you come on a try to undermine his accomplishments. By saying things like "he is playing because of his dad's connections" or "more talent left the school". I'm not sure if this is moma dds or house husband dad but it's obvious that you have an agenda. You need to just enjoy your sons ability and stop hating on others.

He doesn't need anybody to PR for him but since I know him so well, I can probably arrange an autograph for you.

I agree. Saw them play earlier this season. Not very athletic and outside the one tall thin player not much size. This is a very average team and will have a hard time winning any tough games down the stretch. Looks like a lot of homegrown kids so I know the parents of those kids are happy.

I agree that the BA teams in the past have had great athletes and good size with their off and def lines but the difference is Oatsvall. I've seen all the great QBs of the past Brothers, Speedy and others but none of them could do what this kid can do. I just don't know how you defend him. If you rush him and flush him out of the pocket he makes your second level guys looks silly. If you rush 3 and drop 8 like MBA did in the championship game he picks you apart with him arm. Just an amazing talent. By the way has he committed anywhere yet? I know he is an great basketball player as well.

I don't think BA can repeat. Lost their whole offensive and defensive lines. Yes they will have Oatsvall back who will no doubt be the top QB in the state along with Johnson at WR who is a elite athlete but I'm not sure they will have the up front guys to get them back to Cookville. I think MBA will be very good again with a chance to win it all. Ensworth will be much improved and Bowers will have those kids ready to play. I really don't know much about the teams from the East and West so it would not be fair for me to weigh in on those teams. I will have a nephew at MBA next year so I have to say my vote is for the Big Red! What about you?

I would have no problem saying that this BA team will go down as one of the best football teams that the state of Tennessee has produced in the 40 years I have been following football in this state. Im not sure all the details but I was told that BA was playing a lot of young players in the beginning of the year to get the team ready and at the time they played Trinity, that they were playing two QBs and were probably not to concerned with winning and losing that early in the season. I think when people look back they will appreciate the type of talent that not only BA had this year but all of Div.2AA. I think BA will drop off significantly next year with the exception of a few players.

This would not be a close game. MBA would beat this team by 3 scores and after watching BA twice this year (both times vs MBA) they would beat them 4 scores or more. You need to get real with your understanding of how to evaluate talent. My prediction would be that Chandler would run for 300 yards against them.

I have just witnessed the greatest HS football game I have ever seen! These two teams lived up to every bit of expectation and more. The Big Red would have brought the Gold ball home had Superman not been playing QB for BA. Oatsvall and Chandler are two of the best football players in the country. Congrats to Marty and his team for a great season and also to the BA team for the win.

Don't be so quick to count MBA out. They are a very good team with a great coaching staff. I agree that this is probably one of if not the best BA team I have seen in my 40 years watching BA football but MBA will be ready to play.

"Arm Talent" WOW, Playerscoach you must be a "Arm talent" scout. The two "Vandy guys" had coaches shirts on and one of them played in the NFL! I think they know "Arm Talent" when they said that Oatsvall was the best the have seen all year. I think 20-25 and 275yards passing is plenty of "Arm Talent" I've heard that he is even a better person off the field and the kid should be praised as well as the outstanding effort the whole BA team showed Friday night. Very impressed with their fans as well but the MBA student section stole the show with all of their chants and energy. Great HS atmosphere. ps. The "Arm Talent" that left BA was probably a good move!

I might be late to the conversation but I went to the MBA BA game this weekend with my friend who son plays for MBA expecting a great game but it got away from the Big Red pretty fast. Jeremy Oatsvall is the REAL deal! I dont know what this conversation is other than this is one of the best high school athletes I have ever seen, period! I sat right in front of two guys from Vandy who were there and I quote "He is the best QB we have seen this year." I dont know who this "Talent" that left BA is but I would like to see his stats and know were he is playing because if he is better than BA's QB I have got to go watch him ! Can you give me a name and a school?

With CPA's great coach and system it is easy to determine the reason. They have to have 2-3 Division I college type players to get to state and need at least 4 to win it. I don't know how inferior coaches and teams that do not work as hard have been able to do it with less.

Heard Hubie reached out, wants to play, Drew declined, has too many teams wanting to play to fit BA into the schedule.

It's so sad what has happened to the testimony of CPA over the past few years. All you have to do is listen to the casual conversations around town about the dislike for this school. The only people that like CPA are those that are at CPA...and that my friends is a tragedy for a school that would like to share the light of Christ with the world! Hope all is well in the CPA bubble.

Anybody got any updates on middle tn teams? Boys or Girls 14 or 15 under?

Those out West have much to be proud of with their rich basketball history and tradition but do not forget how easy it was for CPAAU last year because their roster had more Division I type and college bound players than any other in state. Same will be true this year.
