  1. Indians will host 6A Coffee Co. and 1A Lookout Valley tomorrow in Sequatchie Co's annual BBQ scrimmage. Not sure on the format of the games but should be fun. BBQ will begin being served at 5:30 and the games begin at 6. Plates are 6 dollars
  2. Already had this thread with 3a preseason all-state
  3. We have placed several athletes in college to help better there lives, In the past few years our athletic programs have really excelled to new heights. No in football, we havent had the best teams, but we are in a great place to succeed. Coach Barger has done a phenomenal job since coming back to Dunlap, and has made this program relevant again, We are very proud of this team and what they could accomplish. We will see yall on Sept. 9.
  4. Yes the other two were Seniors ( Lewis signed to play football in Kansas) and like I said earlier all 3 went over 1,000 yrds. and 12 TD's. Fain had around 200 and 4 TD's in the playoff win against Bledsoe.
  5. Roy saw today were he had been contacted by the Gamecocks of South Carolina
  6. Also heard Sequatchie was missing one of the starting Tackles as well. I was told all three teams looked pretty even and that the coaches were satisfied with what they saw
  7. Heard we looked ok for it being the first scrimmage. Walker Valley was also over there, Was told defense looked solid
  8. The one thing I like about Signal Mnt is there schedule, i know they avoided Alcoa, but they play Tyner, Polk Co., Blackman, South Pitt., Bledsoe Co., and Sequatchie Co. These teams combined for 56 wins and just 17 loses. Tyner lost to Polk in 1st round. Bledsoe lost to Sequatchie in 1st round Polk lost to CAK in 2nd round Sequatchie lost to 3A runner-up Goodpasture in 2nd round Blackman lost to 6A runner-up Symrna in 3rd round And S.Pitt won the 1A Title
  9. Like I said, he was really over looked at the beginning, everyone was on Lewis (who sign with a school in Kansas), The reason #44 ran was because Lewis had just ran an 80 run against Marion the quarter before and wasnt fresh. Fain really developed well last year and made the sectionals in Track and Field in the 100m and 200m I hope everyone will be at the Jamboree next week and good luck to S.Pitt this year. I will be rooting for yall in every game except Week 3. I may even come down Tuesday to the scrimmage against Bledsoe
  10. No he didnt, I believe #44 did, Fain didnt really start getting reps until after the Central game. We ended up with 3 thousand yard rushers last year.
  11. Roy I dont know about the SEC but ive heard UTC is very interested
  12. This was from the Preseason 3A All-State board, "Jerry Fain from Sequatchie Co. has potential to be really good. Went to UTC camp and ran a laser 4.46 forty. he was a 1300 yard rusher as a Junior and that is with splitting carries with other two runners who had over 1,000 yards. Heard he was a top 5 prospect at the Camp and raised big interest from UTC. " Roy what does your Murphy's Fair say about this boy
  13. I think 6 @ Central, maybe later because of the heat rules
  14. Sequatchie Co. Running Back Jerry Fain may make this close. Was clocked at a 4.4 during camp at UTC, and has been clocked as low as 4.39. I say that longest pass will go to Bledsoe's QB Longest Punt is a big question mark as is Lineman
  15. From what ive heard, we are looking pretty good. Will see first action tomorrow at Chatt. Central, apparently Coach Allen has nearly 100 kids out.
  16. Snoball i have an all new respect for you after that post
  17. Roy its Franklin Co., not Franklin, and they didnt turn a survey in to be put in the magazine.
  18. There will be others give them a good game, as for Jasper, I wouldnt worry about who S.Pitt plays, I would worry about how many times yall are gonna get mercy ruled this year. What does S.Pitt have to prove ? They have the hardware, and have proved year in and year out they are one of the best in the Chatt area.
  19. Well welcome back to Dunlap, hopefully you can grace us with your appearance more this year
  20. Mike Leach if im not mistaken it a pass all the time offense, another type of spread
  21. I agree with you 100% when i was posting this I was thinking more of Rick Rod's offense at W.Virgina.
  22. I have seen this years team several times in 7on7 and there is plenty of depth, in the skill position area, dont know about the line yet but there are seniors everywhere.
  23. If you want JV go to Jasper on Saturday, thats were they will be playing. THe starters will play in this game. Nothing has changed on either teams, its the same players that played last November, except we graduated Lewis and yall graduated Gibbons. These team no everything about each other already
  24. I was in Cookville that year, in fact ive been there the last few times S.pitt was in the title game. Yes the Pirates did score quickly but Union embarrassed your defense. I had never seen a team get outside on a Pitt defense like that before. And my point wasnt running the ball in 1A in was doing it against larger competition. S.Pitt has proved that they can on 1A teams and any purple warriors team, but its the larger schools that is in question
  25. Union City in the State finals is another example, big physical back, Pitt couldn't get them off the field.
