  1. Wow, you must have been beaten up by a Franklin kid. Oh wait, you play for CHS, you've been beaten up by them 15 times. The sign actually said heck yeah for homecoming. The way that the sign got blown over at the top did make it look conspicuous, but the word combo is something of your own imagination. Get over the Franklin insecurities, no one likes a whiner.
  2. You're not serious are you?? The Franklin D played well, I'll give you that. One of the best defensive performances that I've see from a HS football team, but "hittin" they were not. Keep in mind I said remove #66, who stepped up and had a big hit??
  3. Franklin hits the road this week for a District 11 matchup at Ravenwood. Must win for both teams with Franklin trying to stay in a tie for first in the district and Ravenwood looking for their second district win and trying to salvage their season. The biggest question is how will Franklin's offense perform? The Defense handed them the game against Smyrna on a silver platter. Franklin's defense FORCED 5 turnovers, and they always came at a time when it was imperative. What happens this week????
  4. This actually is a little bit strange. After reading this post I tried to find any information about the offer. On 247sports.com (a recruiting based website from Barton Simmons that's from the Nashville area) he isn't even listed as having an offer. http://syracuse.247sports.com/Recruit/Offers/2012/Football
  5. this one my friend was out of the coaches hands, I know that for a fact. As usually, things flow down hill. So Mr. Taco, it appears that for the second time in my board reading that you just might not be Eubanks. Hmmmmmm. Are you going to actually talk about this game this week or just keep brow beating about state championships? Once a horse is dead, it's just weird to keep kicking it.
  6. I understand that you thrive on getting people riled up, but goodness you're an idiot. Yes, when you go to the playoffs consistantly every year, it is hard to get a schedule. Ask Brentwood, any Rutherford County team, they will tell you the same thing. Lawrence county, I have no clue where that one came from so I'll give you that, but the others are consistantly successful opponents. 5A or not. I don't see anyone running to schedule Alcoa, do you? and they're 3A. Also, unless Franklin was able to play in all classifications at once, they're is no possible way to have won 228. I see you're point there, and no 0-72 is not much better, but at least be accurate in your insults. Regardless, what it boils down to is that Franklin is going to beat Centennial. Turn that any way you like. Maybe you guys can call the wah-mbulance, eat your french cries, and play the 5A underdog card to get your custodians riled up. Clean up, aisle 6!!
  7. Thank you mister Bertier, you made the exact point that I was going to make. Right side, Strong side!! Here's the other little nugget on scheduling. Most people don't want to play Franklin, anyone would be willing to play Centennial. The Franklin coaches went after a great schedule, and it blows Centennials out of the water. What you keep missing to point out is 2 runner ups, state semifinalsts, and state quarterfinalists 4 times. It's not gold, you're right, but don't talk about success when Centennial has none. Most you ever had was on the back of Mr. Steele, and what happened there? Oh yeah, he fumbled the ball and a Franklin DL trucked it in for 6 and the win. PS, that DL "little" brother plays for Franklin. Choo Choo!!
  8. 1) please point out my ignorances. All of my post is based on facts and true statements. Other than the custodian thing. Which brings me to .... 2) the mascot reference is referring to a belittling post on the Centennial thread. Sticking with my guns. Centennial doesn't have a chance, unless Franklin looks ahead at the rest of their 5A schedule. Geesh, you're a genius Taco
  9. I can't believe this board hasn't gotten started yet, so I thought I'd get it cracked open. This is supposedly the Battle of Franklin. The only battle in this one the last couple of years has been more off the field than on with all of the re-zoning. Centennial claims that they should just be the true Franklin HS, while Franklin complains that they are the ONLY school that has to go out of their school zone just to have a homecoming parade. Franklin is starting to roll with a TV win over Hendy. Centennial's mascot has apparently changed to custodians instead of Cougars. Franklin's "second chance secondary" better hope that Centennial's WRs drop the ball since they look like Grassland's secondary playing in the big boy league, that'll be the key to this game. I just don't forsee Centennial's offensive line giving the QB enough time to get the ball off. One thing for sure is that Rector's (oh excuse me, Eubanks) is going to line up the D and bring every which way from Sunday in order to try to get the vaunted Franklin QB. Word on the street is that he still has nightmares and goes to therapy over the last team that brought the wood in that 42-0 beat down at the end of last season. In the end, Rector has ran off all the kids that make this game......well the "battle of Franklin." He won't get it done with little Ravenwood and Franklin keeps the streak alive. Don't worry Centennial, you guys will still win the can food drive.
  10. This is the first time that I have thought that Taco was not Eubanks. Due to his response, it seems to be that mr Taco is a lawyer. Only a lawyer would be able to put such an elaborate spin on facts. Say what you want, accuse Franklin of whatever you'd like, and spin them however you'd like to. Facts are facts, and I think that 13-0 says enough for itself. Cougar fans are like Cubs fans, and Taco has just reitterated this point. "Well, it's looking good for next year!!"
  11. The young man in question has been cleared to play for Franklin, so quit your rumor mill. Clayton did accept him with open arms, why wouldn't he? Never heard of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?? Next time we need to walk across water, we'll call Taco. Also, from another board. Franklin has pulled freshmen up to varsity. It's called investing in your future. Your newly beloved Bear Bryant, oh my bad, Brian Rector, used to have all freshmen practice with varsity. There are 2 kids that got pulled up, one still plays on the freshman team, and the other rotates with the seconds. It has nothing to do with depth, it has to do with the fact that the kid easily hangs with the varsity. Taco, quit talking to your inside man at FHS and trying to get things riled up. (the both of you need to worry more about educating our youth than these message boards) The proof will be in the pudding in a little over two weeks.
