  1. You seem to draw assumptions out of thin air. Not once did I ever state that I was the only person on here with a college degree, but I know just from your grammar you're not very intelligent. If you're going to be rude and use that level of grammar, you're setting yourself up for that label. You're incredibly narrow-minded with your facetious attacks on me. You never directly asked me what cover 6 was, so check your factsheet before spouting nonsense. Secondly, you're still making a big deal out of the comment I made about Dresden's athletes, so I'll post an article relating to that. Please stop with the insults and petty behavior. Why are millennials so disrespectful? I'm just a guy trying to have an intelligent, adult conversation without being insulted. Is that too much to ask for? Everybody else is being respectful. Don't ruin the positivity of this website. http://www.popularsocialscience.com/2013/01/21/why-blacks-are-good-at-sports/
  2. His reputation is expanding faster than the universe. He once had an awkward moment - just to see how it feels. He lives vicariously - through himself. He is...Wildcatalumni!
  3. I couldn't disagree more. Did you see what Dresden did to Milan in two quarters with a running clock? Dresden is just physically better than Milan, and I watched them drop a 62-18 win against Huntingdon. I believe Dresden is a terrible stylistic matchup for a team like Huntingdon. Huntingdon would have to keep the ball out of Winn's hands, and if Dresden got a few stops (which seems like a huge possibility), I don't think the game would favor Huntingdon. WC's most impressive win is a three touchdown win against a 5-3 Riverside team. I don't understand how you can possibly make the argument UC is not as good as those two teams; they're right there with them if anything. They were ranked #2 in the state for a reason, just my opinion. Yso, did you think this team would be special after watching them at a young age or something? They say this team went undefeated in pewee for years and in middle school. You never hear of anything like that. I was impressed last Friday, especially considering UC tried everything under the sun to stop the pass after that first drive, and Dresden showed they can run. I've always known Winn could run on anybody (he did it as a freshman), so I'm guessing Dresden has that in their back pocket. I went to the Westview game, and they slowed #2 down pretty well, but they were getting torched by the pass. Dresden has a lot of weapons, lol. I guess the only negative I see is they really haven't had to play a full 4 quarters yet. That's what happened to that 08' Henry County squad with Teague and Allen. This is why I personally don't agree with the mercy rule, because how can a team like this actually prepare for a close game that could come down to the wire or overtime? Running sprints and actually playing a football game is totally different and has a completely different effect on your anaerobic glycolytic system, plus if you hammer kids with conditioning at this point in the season you're just going to overtrain them.
  4. Well, I go to watch different teams on different weeks, and I believe Dresden would beat Milan or Dyersburg after watching all three teams play. This is not a far stretch after what Dresden did to Milan in that jamboree. I don't know about Maryville, not sure how they got brought into the discussion. But rather than being rude and showing zero substance with your thought process, why don't you just research the basic information I've layed out?
  5. First off, I know more about football in my sleep than you'll ever know, namely because I played college ball and have played at a higher level. If you wanna keep insulting me instead of having an adult conversation, message me and we'll talk in person. You don't even have basic knowledge of the game, punk. Why don't you learn to respect people and some elementary grammar skills? Secondly, stop saying "you guys." I have zero loyalty or point of interest with this team. I'm just telling you from what I've seen, they're the best team in the state, and there's a reason they're getting all the first place votes. I'm not saying anything more. Also, I never said they had chocolate athletes. If you're going to play that card, give me the actual quote or check your fact sheet. You can't even tell me what the difference is between race and ethnicity. You're a southern Neanderthal. Did I ever say they shouldn't play the remainder of the season, absolutely not. Any team is beatable and only human, but I'm simply saying that number one ranking is warranted. You seem to think they'll be fortunate enough just to get a win in the playoffs, which is laughable and shows your real agenda. You're just some disrespectful, young, punk kid with a keyboard. They need to send kids like you to the military, been saying it for years. You're the type that will insult anybody, sad world.
  6. Again, I'm not even from Dresden. I try to watch all the teams from around the area (the good ones, anyway) during the course of a season. I pride myself with having multiple connections and years of watching ball around here to have a legitimate opinion. Also, Dresden did not get embarrassed by Peabody and surely people weren't making big statements last year. Trenton took the lead in the fourth and pulled away with a win, not sure how that constitutes as "embarrassed," especially since Dresden beat them 41-0 in the first contest. This Dresden team doesn't even compare to last year. Unless something bad happens to that team (I don't wish that on any team), they should be able to steamroll.
  7. I honestly do, yessir. They were unreal on defense with Blackwell, Stephens, etc. as seniors. They just had their absolute worst game against Trenton. On offense, I think the big difference is Scribner is a whole heck of a lot faster than Walton ever was. The only variable on that 14' team is Henry; he was a manchild. UC was the best team in the state for three years running, IMO.
  8. Dude, no joke. How in the world was your prediction spot on? Are you a Vegas insider? Come on, brother! Tell me what to bet for the Humboldt game next week. What's the spread? On a more serious note, tell them Dresden barbarians not to overlook Humboldt. They are playing some football right now. If Dresden doesn't "embrace the grind" and looks for a lazy night, this could have the making for a good game. That's the game I'm going to, especially since both teams will be in the playoffs (and might have to rematch each other). All other area games have zero intrigue.
  9. Wildcat, there's nothing but respect from over here. Trenton was a hard team to beat twice with Malone. You're using irresponsible speculation to draw a point with nothing but pure subjectiveness. The state champ has generally came from this area the past five years. Nobody will "mop" this Dresden team. For the love of Pete, they just beat UC 55-7, and they honestly didn't play their best football. This was not the 2011 or 2012 team, either. Dresden beat them both of those years in spectacular fashion (but that was before Dubriel came in). They've lost three games in four years since Dubriel has got that coordinator and line job. One of those three loses was to McKenzie in their opener during Dubriel's first year. I was at that game, and UC kept fumbling when they would pull the option. They cleaned that up and embarrassed Huntingdon after that. When they lost to Trenton in the rematch last year, it was because the center and quarterback weren't getting the snap exchanged properly, and Trenton recovered several of those fumbles. It was an absolute shame UC didn't win state last year. That's the best team they've had in the past 5 years, seriously, they left a gold ball out of their trophy shelf with their name on it. I don't think they would've beat Dresden in a rematch, though. It's hard to beat a team twice with the mentality of teenagers. Dresden was beating Trenton at half, and then dropped an egg in the second half. Keep in mind Dresden and UC stomped Trenton in their first game with them. Dresden also had two starters on defense out last night. WC had a very competitive game with Riverside. I'll let the Scotts Hill game slide, but you'll see if you make it far enough. You won't be able to say you weren't warned. The larger point I was trying to make was about the Huntingdon fans and such going after Hevy, which is pathetic considering they constantly go after the guy. You don't see him posting negativity to their threads. Hevy has exposed their actual paranoid mindset. Also, I'll say whatever I want regarding state titles and such. I don't even live in Weakley or Obion County, I'm not a Dresden or UC fan, and I've watched area football around here for the past 23 years. So, please, just understand I'm just telling you what I've witnessed, Wildcat. This is seriously one of the best high school football teams this area has ever had, but you never know what can happen with injuries, tragic things, etc. I can tell you this much: if Dresden played Milan or Dyersburg, it would be over by the fourth quarter, just like last night. You know it's bad when BigSwo even tells Dresden to book their Cookeville hotel rooms. He keeps it real (unlike most people), but I was at least expecting some "rematch" rhetoric, nope. Everybody knows Dresden just has too many weapons on offense. Goodluck to you and the Wildcats!
  10. Also, Horse is a troll. I don't even think he's from Huntingdon. He only posts negative things to other boards. If he's not trolling, he's got an IQ lower than his touchscreen keyboard. He doesn't wanna poke the sleeping, hungry pack of crazed Lions. He must not be aware of what Dresden did to Milan in 2 qtrs of play with a running clock in a jamboree, and Milan made them say uncle and wear the game ball like a Popsicle stick.
  11. Uh oh, somebody has awoken the insecurities of very rude people (who are revealing their true thoughts and inhibitions). Hevy is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He's been the number one fan in that town since he moved there. The whole stadium can hear his encouraging words. Why do you gotta knock him? Dresden is used to winning, but I'm sure facts are something you won't embrace. Just in the past 5 years, they've been to State, the semis twice, quarterfinals (lost a rematch), lost to eventual state champs in the second round, etc. I've watched both Dresden and Wayne County play. My honest to God, unbiased opinion is that Dresden can beat anyone handedly. No, Wayne County (or anybody) doesn't have the skill players of Dresden. Wayne County is the whitest team in the state (no offense) with that cupcake schedule. This Dresden team has the chocolate. No, that's not racist, and I will show credible science that backs this up if you pull that card. Athleticism is just another word for genetic variation. Wayne County might have a kid that goes to play college ball. Dresden, literally, has 5 kids with D1 offers (all skill players). How do you even begin to egotistically just spout off that assumption? They have a Mr. Football Qb with multiple D1 offers getting looked at by literally everyone, three all state receivers and an all state running back. You can only take away certain things against their offense. UC was getting thrown on, and they literally started going Cover 6 every play. With that change, Dresden just started running. Hevy knows what this team is on to; they're next level, just wait! They also have the best defense in the state. You negative naysayers will soon see, assuming they stay healthy. I remember how people in Carroll County were saying in the 2000's this team would win state, because they went undefeated in pewee and middle school, so I wouldn't be so antsy to write off Hevy and disrespect him.
  12. That's completely not true and hasn't been the case this year or last year, but if teams are naïve enough to not respect their run game and just try to cover the pass, you can run on them.
  13. I can see where you're coming from, but Bumpus was back. It was just the QB and a lineman. Every time UC pulled the option to the outside there was nothing there, and two defensive starters were out for Dresden. Dresden is just an untamed beast that you don't wanna come across. I don't know if anyone can even compete against them this year. They're even intimidating in pregame. Seriously, watch their title chants during warmups and cage run out. They've mastered the art of skullduggery.
  14. Not true, he has retracted that statement. He said that months ago. He's looking at playing both now. https://twitter.com/jbeasleywpsd/status/774609448719364096
  15. Exactly, Dresden has the same excuse. Those two players will definitely make the defense even better. With #4 actually playing tonight, they had two injuries (Qb and lineman). I honestly think the game goes the same way without injuries. Dresden was on UC when they stretched the option to the outside like white on rice.
  16. Thanks for the class and kind words, Swo. Guys like you are rare to come by nowadays. We'll have to agree to disagree, though. I don't see how in any shape, way or form you guys "stopped" Winn. However, you definitely contained him better than most can by respecting Dresden's pass game, but he had around 120 yards on less than 10 throws, several rushing yards (even if the handful of sacks impacted his actual stats) and was responsible for three scores. Honestly, Dresden didn't even get to really open up on offense because the defense put them in great field position all night. Yates only got 11 touches; they didn't run that many plays. Hopefully, both teams will meet again.
  17. After coming off a disapointing 22-28 loss to Huntington.Dresden stunned a undeafeted Riverside team. This is not the same team that played Huntington.Personally I think Dresden should've won the Mckenzie game.... scoring before halftime and the end of the 4th quarter both times on kick returns is kind of what was the difference maker in that game.If Dresdens special teams hold out Dresden probaly couldve been more comfotable trailing by a 1 possesion score and fought back and won but the mistakes by the special teams worried and rushed their west coast type offense... the officials were also VERY IMPARTIAL... i think dresden had atleast three legit fumbles that were ruled as down on the ground by the officials,Dresdens defense was too much for mckenzie.Mckenzie had the ball on the 8 yard line during the 1st quarter and Dresden had a pick all the way to midfield.Overall Dresden could be Undeafeted.I personally dont like their Offense a west coast/wristband system isnt a good situational offense for them, they run the same plays throughout the game.. too predictable. However their base cover 2 defense reminds me of Monte Kiffins Buccaneers, also noting the fact their defensive cordinator seems really knowledgeable and he is very emotional.I think if they ran the west coast without the wristband system they would be very succuesful... you cant put a Hail Mary or trick game changing play on a wristband system... atleast they dont. They run reverses, options and deep passes... not a good High School Offense. My money is on Dresden for state, theyre small but play with emotion and heart...the way the game was meant to be played.
