You guys have it all wrong. Lem Pilkinton the head coach of Hit After Hit is the best. He is so good that he will give these bogus signals & cuss you out at the same time. He is trying to fake out the other team by his cussing. It looks like he is giving signals with his hands by touching different body parts. But what people dont know is that when he is cussing at his player he is really giving them a signal. It takes great practice to pull that off. The way he practices that is by cussing his employees at work so he will be ready on game day. That my friends, is your winner for the best decoy signal giver. Those of you that know Mr. Pilkinton knows I am right.

REDSMAN - where are you coaching now? How is Cumberland going to be this year?

Lipscomb should win this district. They are absolutely loaded with pitching. They have at least 6-7 guys that are very good. Coach Smith has a nice problem. He literally can pull a pitcher if he walks 2-3 batters & not fall off any. This pitching staff, barring injuries, should/could take them to Memphis. I think only 2 of those pitchers are seniors. The rest are underclassmen. I just hope there are enough innings for all of these guys. Good luck.

I was told our coach did everything he was supposed to do & that we were overlooked or just got uninvited. Not trying to stir anything up. I know Coach has his hands full. I just wanted to know why we are not in, thats all. Hope the tournament goes well.

sorry it took me so long to get back to you. He has another year of high school & he has not chosen a school. There are several schools interested but no offers yet. Hopefully your boys injury is not serious. I hope everything goes well for him. He definately has the mental makeup to make it at the academy. He helped my son a ton going against him for those couple of years. Will I see you at any tourneys around town?

Goodpasture is not on the same level as Alcoa & Huntingdon. Goodpasture better develop some type of running game. They are way too predictable. They rely on the pass & it got them burned against the better teams. Coach Martin is going to have to get a little more creative. Defensively they are okay. Barring injuries Alcoa should take the Gold Ball easily. It will be boring for them in my opinion. They will kill every team they play. They need to look at beefing up their schedule.

Great post. I know that Rankin is not the only one that does this. In a championship game especially when the game is on TV, you dont put a big fat dip in when there is a possibility of being shown your face on TV. It does not look good nor is it professional. If he was in the NFL, I would'nt have even brought it up. I'll guarantee you that his principal, wife etc. would be telling him the same thing. I'll drop this now. Just voicing my opinion on the matter. This is a place to do that, right?

Talk about narrowminded. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you dont know what you are talking about. There is a rule that says that you cannot use tobacco on the field. Rankin thinks he can because he thinks he is above the rule. Umpires, Referees lose their jobs every year because they overlook the tobacco rule. Do I go out of my way to look in each players or coaches mouths to see if they are using tobacco? NO! If it is right in front of me then I'll address it. By the way, when a coach puts a dip or chew in he is putting his players at risk. That player would think that since coach so & so did it then it is okay for me to do it. Whether it is a stupid rule or not, it is a rule & Rankin does not obey that rule. This sounds like a stupid post but I am telling you that the NCAA takes the tobacco rule very serious. If any official or umpire is reading my post on this matter then they will tell you that this is a serious matter.

Man justin, what did I do to you? I guess you are still not over the beating you guys got on Saturday & you are taking it out on me. Thats okay I still like ya. Yeah Alcoa was definately the better team & was glad to see them win it all. They are loaded & would have taken your team to the woodshed as well. Be happy that Greenbrier got us this year because next year will be back to the same ole Greenbrier. Ya know I have supported Grennbrier all year & was happy to see them in the finals but you make it hard for me to like ya'll anymore. The Greenbrier program is very respectable & its guys like you that make it hard for people to like. There are some very classy Greenbrier posters on these boards you need to take some lessons from some of them. I know you are just a kid & I am taking that into consideration. As far as the dipping situation I brought up it is not their perogative when they are coaching a game. It is against the rules. When the game is over then it is his perogative. By the way that was a big word that you know "perogative".
