  1. Couldn't agree with you more Rabbitt! Also, just want to let you know I've got my admission fee ready including the 50% upcharge!
  2. Everyone can say whatever they want to about Nick Reveiz, but either way the kid is a 2 time state champion and you cannot take that away. Buy the way Cobra if he doesnt have a future in wrestling then what are you saying about Letner because he couldn't come close to even touching Nick's legs. How did this Antonio Boyd do? Did he win state twice?
  3. Cobra, You have to realize that Nick had never seen a wrestling match until half way through his sophmore year. He started wrestling at the age of 16. To go on and win 2 state championsips in the three years that you EVER even competed in the sport of wrestling is very impressive. I don't know what the heck you are talking about when you say "im not that impressed with Nick". Actually I don't think you know what you are talking about either. Do to his very limited wrestling life Nick only knows a blast double and a snap down. He don't have a great arsenal of moves. He waits patiently for his opponent to get out of position and then he steem rolls them. I actualy think that he is very smart and shows alot of mat savey by not taking hots that are not pen, like so many young wrestlers do. The thing is that guys know that is all he has an they still can't stop him. That is another thing that is so impressive about Nick, you know exactley what he is gonna do and still can't stop him. That is pretty impresive to me. But if you are not impressed with him then maybe you should come on up to the Farragut wrestling room and grab ahold of him. I am sure that you will be very impressed with him after he lumps your head up real good.
  4. Good job Farragut!! Congrats to Coach Knox and Coach Cottrell. You guys looked good...keep up the good work. Webb looked great as well. 103 - Catholic over Webb 112 - Karns over South Doyle 119 - Webb over Farragut 125 - South Doyle over Farragut 130 - Webb over Karns 135 - ? over ? 140 - Fulton over Karns 145 - Webb over Catholic 152 - Karns over Webb 160 - Webb over West 171 - Farragut over Gibbs 189 - Gibbs over Farragut 215 - Farragut over Powell 275 - Halls over Austin East Not sure on a few so correct me if needed. Team 1. Farragut 2. Karns 3. Webb
  5. I think Hamilton needs to calm down before he gets the T.O. (Terrell Owens) treatment (just kidding around, for I am a fan of T.O.). Verbally bashing another coach, school, parent, etc. is not a good way to react in situations like this. The best thing to do is move on and try and prove yourself at the end of the year. I think Mr. Turner was just trying to create a little excitement about the region and said nothing but positive things about other teams and individuals, which is very respectable and how chat boards should be handled. I have much respect for Coach Smith and the South Doyle wrestling team. Cole is a great kid as well as wrestler (Good luck at state Cole). Another kid I enjoy watching is the 103 from last year (don't remember his name, but he is an exciting wrestler). Coach Knox is an excellent coach and I hope he proves himself once again. I don't like to post on things like this, but seeing somthing as tasteless and disrespectfull as what Hamilton put about some people I respect very much personally, really upset me. You can ask any Farragut kid and they will say they have nothing but respect for Coach Knox (and that is why they push themselves every day for him) and that is what matters. Now, back to what last night was really about....GOOD LUCK AT STATE DUALS MARRYVILLE, AND GOOD LUCK TONIGHT WILLIAM BLOUNT!!!
  6. one thing i think would help is have the state duals after the individual state tournament
  7. Yes, they already have coaches. Joe and Justin Knox, they are also coaching the freestyle program. They also have som other help.
  8. Father Ryan & McCallie (Individual Tournaments)
  9. The people mentioned are/were excellent wrestlers. There are several I could mention, but the ones that come to my immediate attention are as follows: Region 1- Waylon Lowe (Jefferson Co.): 3X NCAA Division 2 National Champ (4X All American) Region 2- Tyler Cornaby (Farragut)-112 &119 around mid 90s 2X State Champ/Shannon Sayne (Halls)/Craig Johnson (Seymour) Region 3- Matt Keller (Bradley)/Cordell (Bradley)-always found a way to win Region 4- Kevin Ward (Soddy)/Darren McKnight (Red Bank)/Jake Yost (Soddy)/Kyle James (Soddy) Region 5- Dodson (Franklin)-160 back around the mid 90s(was a personal favorite of mine to watch) Region 6- McTorry (Overton) Region 7- McCarty (Clarksville) Region 8- Nelson (Kirby) Like I said there are several others who deserve to be mentioned but this is what I could come up with for now. There are also several current wrestlers that have the potential to become some of the best all-time wrestlers from their respective regions. Another favorite of mine I used to enjoy watching wrestle, and one worth mentioning real quick is Rabbit Turner (Soddy).
  10. A favorite official of mine would have to be Mr. Craft. He is one of the best officials in the state, in my opinion. There is also a new official who is in East Tennessee from Pennsylvania who is excellent, and I would like to see him at as many events as possible.
  11. That is awesome. Farmington has alot of individuals ranked extremely high in Missouri. I believe they have several ranked 1 and 2. Father Ryan represented the state of Tennessee very well at Helias.
  12. Did Father Ryan by chance wrestle Granite City, IL? I saw they were at the Helias Duals, and I was wondering if Father Ryan wrestled them. I saw Father Ryan went 4 - 0 at the duals and Granite City is ranked 6th in Illinois, and i was wondering if they wrestled.
  13. It doesn't matter how they look at Catholic, as long as they get it done at the end of the year. I think they would rather have a good showing at regionals and state than at the insignificant Catholic Inv. It's hard to comment on a teams ranking this early in the year, and you must factor that their two state finalists did not wrestle at the tournament.
  14. I don't think Farragut would want to waste their time with the Bulldogs
  15. Brad Thomas @ 125 top 6 in state and region champ last year? That's funny, @ 125 Dusty Breeden won regionals last year with Muncy from Halls getting second, Mountain (Farragut) 3rd, and Everrett (Maryville) 4th. The only one of these guys that placed at state was Breeden who got 6th. No Brad Thomas to be found. Rigger how can you say he is going to handle Farragut's 125 before you even know who the kid is (who probably didn't even start last year).
