  1. I agree it may not have been an idea situation but here are some facts. The only thing that is going on this time of year is weight training. I want to assure you that no players missed workouts, no players quit, no one transferred to Greenback. I have never been as proud of some young men as I have been through it all. They realized that they could not waste time and energy worrying about things they cannot control. They didn't talk about, they didn't get on twitter, they didn't get on Facebook or CoachT. We thought that it would be between 2 fine individuals that had coached here in the past. So there was no need to meet about what system to run etc. Since we were already on the same page. I agree that having a head coach would have been idea but life does not always go the way we think it should. GOD is in control and just like I tell these special young men "we are all right here right now for a reason, we may not understand it but we will. If you listen to some of our so called fans would think the world is coming to an end but I want to assure everyone in Loudon that everything is going to be ok. And I want you know that these are young men of great character and after watching how kids act now days with protesting, burning flags, busting out windows and all that crap isn't nice to see young men who commit themselves to be men of integrity. Now more than ever LOUDON PROUD
  2. The transfer from Loudon was a non factor. Was only on the field half the time and done nothing when he was in. I guess all his friends from Loudon were tired of hearing how he was going to destroy them. Sometimes lip service just won't get it done.
  3. Let see if this is correct. Fultons AD cast the deciding vote to move Loudon to another district. Alcoa's coach gets mad because he has a hard time getting games. Now this is what I find confusing, if Alcoa has a hard time getting games why did they drop a game that was already scheduled? Sounds a bit contradicting to me. Bottom line after watching the post game interview I think everyone knows the character of the coach in question. But don't worry maybe you can go back to pounding your chest next year. Here is the lines you need to remember. "We got beat, but, it was by Marville a much bigger school than us". How about this one, we would play Greeneville every year except we don't care for the color green. How about " We would play so and so if it wasn't for this or that.
  4. Be sure to get there early, we will be showing Deliverence for the 91st time. There will be jars of Vaseline to the first 91 men to enter the stadium and dental floss to the first 91 women that show up with all their teeth.
  5. Thanks painted bridge and remember Dawn dishwashing liquid will get that Vaseline off of you
  6. I would agree that most of the talent is from Blount Co, however, if it weren't for the open enrollment some of the good ones would not have been able to play at Alcoa. That has been debated enough on these message boards. All I'm saying is that when you are bumping your chest please leave Loudon out of it. Alcoa has great kids and it has great fans, however, sometimes you all forget that not everyone has the same advantages that the TSSAA allows you to have, but, those kids work just as hard as anyone else. They do have weight rooms and coaches, just not jumbotrons and artificial turf and a very good advantage. Great win tonight for you all though and I assure you I was sure sick of hearing about Catholic. What they are getting away with is unreal.
  7. Absolutely not. Don't get me wrong if Loudon had the opportunity I'm sure they would do the same thing. The problem is that high school football has long since lost the values it once had. It is no longer about kids playing for their communities since they actually don't live in that community. I think deep down you know I'm right. It goes something like this; AE has some good athletes, but, not a very good team so they go to Fulton because they are going to be really good so they go there to be noticed. WB has a good player, but, they can't win there so they go to Maryville. A kid from Jefferson Co transfers to Alcoa so he can be on a winner (remember that one)? A kid who's dad doesn't even have a job miraculously is now able to send his kid to school that charges 16,000 a year for tuition. Not really calling anyone out just using those as examples. Again the problem is the TSSAA continues to let it happen. Oh yeah, F5 if you won't mention funnel cakes any more I won't mention Vaseline to you.
  8. Wow, how did Loudon get in the conversation? Loudon is just a community school with kids that play solely for their community. They have no open zone and certainly cannot hold middle school all star games on their new turf field where they are able to convince talented kids to come to their school while showing them all they have to offer. I believe you must live in Loudon county to go to Loudon high school period with no exceptions. It is impossible to compete with what is going on in the Knox, Blount area. What amazes me is why the TSSAA continues to let this go on. I have no problem listening to the private schools and Alcoa pounding their chest about how great they are, but, I do wish you would leave the schools they do it right alone. You have no right to say anything about teams that show up everyday and work just as hard as those schools do, but, are not able to pull the crap that these so called power teams do. There is one thing that concerns me and that is the corn dog thing, I have a psychiatrist friend who says that someone who is continually talking about corn dogs probably has a fascination with the movie Deliverence and something that happened on the river that day. So just remember the next time he talks about corn dogs he will probably be sore in the morning.
