  1. E.K. brought them there, so in essence it was E.K. 32 showed 6 that he wasn't missed at SD.
  2. Their parents have grounded them from the computer.
  3. Troll gave you some great instructions, but the easiest thing to do is to meet the team at Howard High School when its picking up the some of the players and just follow it up from there.
  4. What point is that? That you can beat-up a lot of weaker teams.
  5. I don't know.........It just seems that Hamilton County Department of Education seems to handicap the schools by not allowing the same options to its schools as the programs in other counties. We have to many schools to close together to compete with the larger schools in the Knoxville and Nashville area. When our largest school has an enrollment of 1400 and theirs top 2600, its not practical to think that your on the same playing field. That's why the only state contending success we have (in football) is from the smaller school classifications and that happens as pointed out in this topic earlier that 2-3 players can really make a significant difference. But when you pull those 2-3 players from other schools in the county people are going to cry foul.
  6. Not sure how good RHEA is but I know how good McCallie is. McMinn will runaway with this one. However, wish Rhea good luck would love to see an upset.
  7. Nothing much more true that. I listened to Sport Talk Friday when they were going over their picks for the nights matchups. When Dr. B picked Soddy , ( probably more so as to create a stir) Cowboy Joe just burst into laughter that carried on for almost 20 seconds or so. Not ashamed to admit it kind'a hurt the pride a little, but as they say those that laugh last..........
  8. Great effort all around, kids AND COACHES. So many kids other than the ones who get their name in the paper really came through. Got to really find a way to get 14 off the field on defense. I asked my son what really inspired him to fight through to the end of the game and he said(insert dramatic music here)," It was late in the fourth quarter, I was tired and about to give up. Then I heard a lone voice from the stands shout, "Do Good Guys" and I knew from that moment nothing was going to stop myself or the team from securing a victory."
  9. Real, just because your team does it does NOT mean that every team does it. I KNOW FOR A FACT that we don't and have the easiest opportunity to be able to. The majority of teams aren't looking to recruit they are looking to keep there kids from being recruited by the likes of Baylor, McCallie, Signal, Ridgedale.. I am all for teams winning just not at the expense of others. For some reason its just obvious when your team hits the field.
  10. My BAD! I saw the quote this morning and saw the RealMenWearRed Logo and didn't pay enough attention. My Apologize didn't realize he was reposting.
  11. Having seen Baylor, I'll take Bradley. If there going to get them it will be this year. Not the strongest Baylor team I've seen in the last few years.
  12. Really a recruiting 4a team bragging about owning a 1A team. If being 2-2 against an opponent is"owning" then we need to write out the new definition of owning. The only thing ya'll own is the Arrogance title which must be a birth right bestowed upon you when living on the mountain. Looking forward to seeing you own Blackman as well.
  13. Was something wrong with East Hamilton's new scoreboard? I heard that at one point of the game, the game time on the scoreboard just kept running and they couldn't get it to stop.
  14. It's not an East Hamilton or Signal problem, each team wants to go as far into the playoffs as possible. The problem is in the way Hamilton County handicaps itself with restrictions not used by the larger counties up north and the fact there are too many schools to close together. The "loophole" you use is NOT for a good athlete to find a good football program but for a good STUDENT to improve their academic standing. The animosity derives from improving your program at the expense of others. Isn't it funny how Chattanooga area schools not only compete but win state championships in other sports but not so much football when the classifications are 4a or over. The thing is, is that kids that want to play for another program should have to move into that school zone. This is the right way to do things, then no one can say that kid doesn't live at so and so address. Good luck to ALL Chattanooga area schools!
  15. Troll that was probably the worst statement you ever made. Maybe your name should be changed to MountainPot(Kettle). I Have no doubt East Hamilton has more players that live within a closer proximity to their school than you. The only thing is its OBVIOUS which of your kids you send out on the field don't live on the mountain.
  16. Troll are you closing your eyes when you look at the field. I am pretty sure Nolan and Thrasher aren't your main feeder schools.
  17. I would doubt that. I would say Signal's become the Ellis Island of the south.( but of course only Monday through Friday during the school season and only from 7:45 till football practice is over.). "We've got alot of new faces this year." ---------CBP
  18. No, really if this board becomes a democracy and they hold elections for new admins. I'll put your sign in my yard.
  19. Troll I'll only spare with you. The gloves have to stay on because I don't believe you are of the "Teva" gene pool. Besides it has been beaten to death. So if I were to say anything derogatory of the Eagles or of those that live on the MTN this post it will be the last said. Promise But have to get these in. Not sure how you know there are young girls from Soddy on the MTN, not sure I want to know why either. Unless they are being made to put on name tags when they reach CVS. I am sure we don't have any of our male youth running around on the mountain as there are still Teva weilding men prowling around up there. We're not the rambling wreck so I am pretty sure we dont have a vaunted engineering program used to bring in athletes because our gene pool can't produce a football championship on our own. However we do have the easiest platform to bring in kids from ANYWHERE inside of Hamilton County, if we wanted to win at football with kids other that those that have mailboxes that reside in the 37379 or 37343 zip. Its just been fun to pick at y'uns when all we heard for years was how "Our poor Signal MTN youth have to drive off the mtn and attend Red Bank as it is to far for them to have to go and so incredibly unfair and how the community of Signal needed a high school to call their own." Although in order to win football championships we have to make kids traverse an even longer distance (the distance that was so unfair for the actual mtn kids) because, honestly you can't get it done without them. Now with that being said I want you to know that we are pulling for you and yours to have a great season. Ride out the playoffs as far as you can. What you as a football program are doing is what has to be done for Hamilton County schools to be able to compete with the rest of the state. Just not everyone else does it, especially to the extent you do. We know we will never have a good shot at a state championship because we are to much like your opponents when you won yours. Playing against other schools that double our enrollment. But thems the breaks. Hate that we will have our hands full week 0. Would love to have come up to see the noisy Cane fans on this board quieted down a little bit. Troll good luck you are the class of these boards!
  20. Are you refering to the State Champion softball team or the National Championship Cheerleading Squad?
  21. We can now rule out that "therealstatechamp99" is not Trent Dilfer.
  22. Funny how you place Signals name in a post and they come running on defense like the Steel Curtain. Yet I don't think there is a defense for this one. I am pretty sure Cagle MTN will be paying Signal MTN taxes as soon as the annexation goes through. I think the South Broad St area already does. But when the pads come on no matter where they live they are Eagles. Just don't think their members at the Pool.
