This was a great football game. Soddy looked like a different team from last week. Defense looked good and offense seemed to move the ball pretty well. Hope to keep improving each week. Need to enjoy this one today and get back to work tomorrow because Bradley is coming off a loss like we had last week and they are going to be looking to prove something rolling in to Soddy next Friday for our first big district matchup. Great win Trojans!!!

Soddy will come out with plenty of emotion. They came out fired up last week and drove right down the field and scored but with so many kids playing both ways the emotion can only carry you so far. Good Luck Tonight Trojans!!!

Scrimmage tonight 6pm vs McCallie @SD.

Soddy Daisy competed well last night in 6 way scrimmage at Bradley. The passing game looked good but struggled to run the ball and the defense showed signs of improvement. I am ready to see them at full strength. Starting RB and their 2 leading tacklers from last year LB/SS have not played in any scrimmages. RB and SS should be back next week and hopefully LB will be back for week 0.

Good luck. I know you have some stud skill players I have seen them at a few camps this summer.

They did look good. From what I have seen they will probably be the most improved team in the disrict.

Lacked Size? They had two 300 pounders at tackle on offense. They did struggle with protecting the QB some but they also had alot of dropped balls. That being said the offense put up plenty of points in most games last year. Soddys problem was they gave up 45 points a game. Teams threw the ball on them all year. They could not cover the deep ball. That has looked better so far but we will find out how they look next week when they put on the pads.

I would vote for ours at Soddy as the worst hands down. I like Bradleys he is blunt but funny.

What is interesting is that Soddy Daisy principal will not let them go to any 7 on 7 where Signal Mountain is but the Signal Mountain administration will allow them to go anywhere and the Signal Mountain parents were the ones that got involved in the fight last year, but maybe that will change now that they had to take one of our assistant principals to try to straighten that place out.

Looked OK in both scrimmages. From what I can tell it is more of a team atmosphere than last year. Offense moved the ball pretty well and defense looked much better than last year. We will see where we stand Week 0 when Baylor rolls in to Soddy.

Any chance Slaughter lands at Hixson now with Coach White resigning today.

Cody Jones is the kid that only plays baseball now and Caleb Watson stills plays but didnt run the ball this past year only played defense. They have a kid CJ Blue who could step in and run the ball if he puts on some weight and everyone knows that last name.

They lost the great running back Edwards and only 3 starters on defense. They will not replace Edwards but they should be able to throw the ball with the QB returning and 3 of his top 4 receivers returning. If they can find any kind of running game they should be able to score some points but last year they gave up about 40 points per game. If the defense can improve I think they can contend for the region.

Wish we knew. I dont want to see him gone and I have heard school administration says he is their guy. I think he deserves 1 more year. He took the team to the 2nd round last year and lost 75% of his starters from that team. That is hard to overcome. Lets see what happens.

The biggest problem with Soddy Daisy football is everyone in the stands knows exactly what the coaches should be doing. I sit in the stands every week and listen to everyone complain about the coaches and if they dont complain about the coaches they complain about the players. That is the biggest problem I see with Soddy Daisy football is all the negativity. I know when a team is not winning things are going to be said and I have said things myself. But I will say this, after sitting in the stands the last 2 years watching my son and listening to things people say about him I have learned that all the comments do nothing but bring the team down and these 15, 16, 17 and 18 year old kids start believing the crap they hear. I wish everyone would put as much effort in to supporting this program as they do downing it. Now lets go get 2 wins to end the season. GO TROJANS!!!

Both teams would have outscored their basketball teams in the second half.

Everyone will pick a blowout but I think WV can score on Bradley. But Bradley will score at will. BC-49 WV-31
