  1. Unless he graduated or moved East has a really good tailback. Offensively they can and will score points. They just never seem to be able to stop people on defense and therefore get out scored in shootouts when they play comparable competition. Some really good looking athletes and a huge line though.
  2. I'll take JB over LCA ER over Clay WHH over CA NC over Ezell HC over SC Bruceton over McEwen
  3. This should be a really good game. I don't know much about East, but saw WHH in a jamoboree last week.. MAN those guys are doing something right in the weightroom. Some really impressive looking kids. I have heard East is looking much improved and could make some noise this year. I'm gonna go with WHH by 7 in this one.
  4. So, its Week 0 which to me means its time for some District Weekly Predictions. This Weeks Games: Clarksville Academy hosting Montgomery Central East Robertson hosting DCA Houston County hosting Waverly Nashville Christian @ Harpeth McEwen @ Zion Christian Jo Byrns off I'm picking: Clarksville Academy DCA Houston County Nashville Christian McEwen
  5. I agree with this. However it has been proven already that with the right coach success is possible. Just a thought, what a coincidence if they do hire Finley from CC. Not many teams lose a coach that runs SBV and hire one that runs SBV.. Who knew that many coaches in TN ran such a historic yet incredibly effective offense. That itself could be why they may only be down 1 or 2 years instead of 3-4. Getting to stay in the same offensive philosophy when a coaching change happens is huge.
  6. Heritage will go 5-5 or 6-4.... Heritage has a solid backfield returning with a QB that has a cannon for an arm. Usually always have a line with decent size and good enough to get the job done. I think the big runningback they have should have a big year. Westmoreland, Sycamore, Cheatham who graduated a lot, should all be wins. Greenbriar will be a hard fought game since there is the revenge factor from last season but I think WHH pulls it out. I dont know the rest of the schedule except for White House and Clarksville Academy. I think WHH will struggle with those two just based on tradition and atmosphere. However I think Pat Brown and his staff will make a good showing their first year in 3A.
  7. Thanks for the Info. I also know they have been successful recently. Myles Holiday built a good program and had those guys playing at a high level. I think taylor did a good job given the situation he was in. However family comes first and I understand why he is leaving. Was just curious how everyone in SC is handling changing coaches again so soon. I'll keep my eye on this board and the clarksville leaf chronicle. I'm sure news will pop up as soon as its available.
  8. Tried to look him up on the web, but no where does it list him as ever being an assistant at SC. Maybe it was one of his first jobs and he has had enough others between that he chooses not list that one. Regardless, how are the kids in SC handling a 3rd coaching change in 2 seasons? That has to be tough. Hows team morale?
  9. English Language Arts? In Dover, not likely. J/k... who is ELA, cause thoise initials aren't ringing a bell for me.
  10. Anyone know who the transfers are from East Robertson or at least what postition they played last year?
  11. SC will win 3-5 games next year. Those 3-5 will be NW who may be improving but is still NW. Waverly who loses a very good Qb and some skill players. Creekwood will be a toss-up but could go the rebels way if they can replace some defensive losses. Montgomery Central who is still a couple of years from getting back to competitive. Finally East Hickman, who seems to be improving but still seems to not have consistancy, plus I heard they lost several skill players. HC will not be one of those wins for SC. HC returns too much this year. SC will be lucky to stay on the field them this year.
  12. Gordansville over Coalfield 35-14 NCS upsets Huntingdon 35 - 31
  13. Greenback over Coalfield 21-14 Gordansville over Eagleville 56-17 NCS over Collinwood 21-14 Huntingdon over West Carroll 35-14
  14. Round 2 Greenback - 28 Copper Basin - 14 Coalfield - 28 Cloudland - 7 Gordansville - 42 South Pitt - 28 Moore Co - 35 Eagleville - 21 Collinwood - 28 Jo Byrns - 14 Clarksville Academy - 21 Nashville Christian - 20 West Carroll - 42 Halls - 14 Huntingdon - 35 Union City - 14
