Zeman < Lankford....I would take Lankford all day over Zeman. He had 27 carries with a max run of 10 yards last night. Zeman needs twice the number of carries Lankford needs to get the same number of yards. Lankford with 750+ yards rushing in his career against jasper. Yes, , Zeman is just a jr but I think he is older than Lankford. Lankford should win 1A back of the year. Hands down.

Well the fumble was caused by SP. however when we fumbled on our own drive in your territory to start the second half, that was not caused by MC. And you have to be more disciplined to know you cannot rough the kicker on 4th and 21 at midfield. Just a poor play by mc

I will wait to hear who was the culprit, if it was someone from SP, then they will be punished. Also, it was the head coach that did not shake Coach Moore's hand. Maybe the assistant refused as well.

Good post TTP. I think most Pirate fans are expecting a tough, hard fought game.

Other than some tweaks here, bumps and bruises there, I believe the Pirates are as healthy as they could hope for heading into week 10. What about MC?

TTP...the score last year was 49-21. SP turned it over twice in MC territory and i believe had MC kick a number of onside kicks a few of which they recovered. I believe SPs D is much improved from last year. I believe the O is similar. O-line is better. Backs are still very good but probably not as explosive overall without Little Man.

Football 54.....SP enrollment is 249. MC is 523 and about a bakers dozen from being in 3A. Meanwhile there are only 14 public schools smaller than SP that play football. So, if the TSSAA really lost their minds and went to 8A, SP would still be 1A. MC is more than double the size of SP.

I have no issue calling jasper by the name Marion Co. I prefer to be called South Pittsburg. I like the way it sounds. If the name of my town was jasper, I would change it to Marion Co as well. Just sounds more intimidating. Maybe it is the harder consonants. The towns I have problems with are War Trace and Sparta. If the name of your town is War Trace why would you name your school Cascade? Change Sparta to White Co? Really? They are totally missing their opportunity to take advantage of the spartan name, 300 style, THIS IS SPARTA!!! over the loud speaker etc. Sorry for the ramblings....in short, if his momma call him Clay then I'm gonna call him Clay. So I use the names Cascade, White Co, and Marion Co. I call them what they want to be called. No skin off my back, just as long as we continue to be known as South Pittsburg.

I think this will be a good game. Based on box scores alone it seems MC has been trying to work on their passing game against the overmatched opponents they have played in October so I believe we will get a healthy dose of Zeman and that they will try to hurt us in the passing game when we get overly focused on him.
