From what I have heard from several people, last night the cramp bug did not just rear it's head in SP. Baylor and other places also experienced it. Not real sure why. Cramps have not been a problem for SP all year.

Zeman is a different style runner than miller. Zeman is tough to bring down because of his build and balance. His low center of gravity makes it tough to hit anything on him other than a knee, a shoulder pad, or a helmet. Not much to grab on to.

TTP, did you come to the SP / Polk game? If so, what is your opinion of this week's game since you have seen MC a number of times and SP vs one of the best teams they have played to date?

I could be wrong but I think the last time SP kicked a field goal was in '99 when Mike Jackson kicked one in the semis against Trousdale. I honestly do not remember anyone else kicking one.

Zeman leads the area in rushing. That is enough to command respect. Plus MC can throw it around some. I expect MC to give all they have and play a great game. I hope we are up to the challenge. Go Pirates!

I think too many people are discrediting Hixson. They are a good team who came in to Beene Stadium with something to prove after falling on their face in their opener. Meanwhile we were feeling good about ourselves after a nice opening win and were overconfident and flat. We got smacked in the mouth, did not like it, and did not respond appropriately. So, with that being said I agree with TTP from a few pages back. I believe the pirates come ready to play tonight and come away with a convincing win. Not sure I agree with TTP about next years SP vs SC game but after that SP better watch out! SC will easily have the best team in the valley after next year.

When was the last time a valley team beat SP?Not trying to be a jackleg, because it will jappen again sooner rather than later, but asking a legitimate question. I think it was the 1 point loss to jasper in 2005, but not sure. I know we lost several in 2004.
