Slow down just a little we have got a couple of state championships we need to win before that:)

Today the BUCS beat a solid Whitwell squad 10-3. The BUCS pitchers, (Sr.) Nathan Murrell, (Jr.) Seth Caudle, (So.) Seth Rogers, and (St.) Jim Cardwell threw very well. The hitting stayed strong as (Jr.) Skyler Anderson went 3x3 with two Doubles and 5 RBI's while Sophomores EJ Matthews and Seth Rogers both went 2x3 with a double and RBI. Seniors Jim Cardwell and Nathan Murrell both went 2x2 with a walk and three runs scored. Junior Josh Antwine had another solid night at the plate going 2x3. The BUCS final scrimmage will be Tuesday when they travel to Rhea County and take on the Eagles!!

Welcome! Good baseball played in your area should be able to see some very good games. This is my 4th year in Tennessee spent the previous 18 in Georgia.

Bucs working very hard in the weight room looks to be a determined group for 2014!! The upcoming seniors had their meeting with coach and told him that their target is the Gold Ball and nothing short of that!!

Very focused and determined group.....I think most would like to get Clarkrange just to exercise some demons from the past...but whoever it is will encounter a very good Buc basketball team and a hostile crowd for sure!!

We don't recruit at our school and so we are at the same disadvantage but we are going to try and field the best team and have the best year we can....sometimes a trophy doesn't signify just what kind of champion you are in life...at least that is how we do it at Boyd Buchanan

Let me speak slow for you...My school has neither went up or down in years...if you are talking about Goodpasture there are plenty of teams that can beat them this year in Single A just have to do it on the field...I've stated many many many times, did I say many, that I've been on both sides of the Public/Private school thing and mostly on the Public side of it and I have NEVER NEVER NEVER, did I say NEVER, use it as an excuse...I hate excuses and the easiest for people is that others recruit including public schools recruit or the town is so much bigger than ours and it just gets old...In all due respect if you're making excuses your probably not good enough to win it anyway!!

I dont ever look at score in scrimmages and when I'm scouting I never see the entire game but saw them against Sequatchie county on Thursday. And I said they look much better and as you said they will be one of the teams fighting for their district. Good Luck to yall!!

9 Inning affairs or 2 hour and 40 minute time levels so I cant tell you if they won or not because I was trying to catch as much as i could across town, but they looked decent for a first weekend out and as i said I think they can be a good team by the end of the year. I coached for 18 years at public school so cut me some slack my friend:}

Soddy Daisy and Grundy County looked to be much better and could cause some havoc this season. I thought both Cleveland and Bradley Central had some pieces that will make them difficult to beat most nights. Ooltewah looked solid and will be good again. Signal Mountain and Red Bank will need to improve over what I saw this weekend if they expect to make alot of noise. Lookout Valley is very very young and while Walker Valley, Sequatchie County, and Central looked like teams trying get some new faces in but should be a good teams by the end of the season. They didnt play in the scrimmages I was talking about but tyner should be very good this season! I know you said Public but McCallie looks like they are the best team in the city and will go a long way!!

Bucs took to the field Saturday against an undermanned Marion County team, who had 3 starters out due to Basketball and 3 other players who contribute, and dominated from the first Inning winning 16-1. The Bucs received strong pitching from a quartet of (Sr.) Nathan Murrell, (Jr.) Josh Antwine, (Sr.) Jim Cardwell, and (Fr.) Cameron Wolfe who combined for 12 K's in the 7 Inning affair. The Bucs recieved hits from the entire roster and big days from (Jr.) Skyler Anderson who went 3x3 with a 2B and 5 RBI's and (So.) Seth Rogers who went 2x2 with a 2B and 3 RBI's.

Also maybe since the central fans have such a dislike for us privates we should tell coach carter we shouldn't play in his tourney anymore and help him raise money... Just sayin!!
