  1. WC had 189 yards rushing and 208 yards passing so they ran somewhere. As for the fourth quarter goes WC ran out of gas but also turned the ball over on downs late to give Cville the ball in the red zone after a couple big penalty's. You gotta remember, WC was only down 7 going in the 4th or early in the 4th before throwing the interception and then going into desperation mode which never works. I thought it was a great game til late. I still think this is going to be a high scoring game and the difference just may come down to the line play which I think Cville will win up front
  2. I wouldn't bet a wooden nickel on this game but if I was predicting a score it would be close to yours without naming a winner. I just don't see either team stopping the other from scoring. As for the lines, Cville has the advantage, hands down. Speed-Huntingdon, power running and line play-Cville. Going to be a fun game to watch
  3. For the last time, I am not jealous, I wouldn't want turf and I'm proud for you if you want it! What I been saying is there's not many 1A schools that can afford it. Huntingdon just seems to be an awful large community for 1A but numbers don't lie. I was just stirring the pot, didn't know y'all would get your feelings hurt this easily. As for whoever made the comment about WC fans getting butt hurt after getting put out and jumping on band wagons, they're an idiot! I am proud for Cville and where their program has came. WC has a long history playing Cville and I have seen them at their lowest but there was sum1uno and cb10 supporting them the same as they do now, it's just classless to run them down and say they've been unheard of until last year. I had never heard of union city in 09 when they came in at 5-4 and beat my undefeated cats and knew nothing about Huntingdon in 2011 when WC went to Paul Ward and beat the all mighty mustangs. I guess what I'm saying is if you want respect from others than try giving some, earn it don't buy it. And if there's so much extra money laying around spend it on a good coach that can win the big ones! Huntingdon is the best regular season team in the state every year and the biggest choke in the post season, good luck friday
  4. That was this morning when I got caught up talking smack with newbies, I'll be quiet and good luck this week
  5. I apologize if I misunderstood and I agree with some of the things you said. Coach Rice teaches toughness and playing until the whistle blows, but not after. If he sees any of that it will be dealt with harshly, I've seen him make the whole team run gassers after a game. As for the lack of interest, that falls on coaches and parents. WC averages around 60 players a year at a school that only averages around 300 kids. If you figure in that half are girls it's a pretty high percentage of the male students that play. All the young kids in waynesboro can't wait to get to high school and play for Rice and Crews
  6. It's not a jealous thing it's a small community money thing. Name one other 1A school that could come close to spending the money that hhs has spent, I can't think of one. Huntingdon moved to 1A with the hopes of winning gold and picking on the little schools but found out it's tougher than 2A. If Huntingdon had of stayed in 2A they probably would have a couple gold balls, well I forget about y'all having a choking coach but could have competed for one anyway
  7. WC has 297 this year and why you comparing with them, we ain't playing
  8. I left last nights game proud of our boys and the way they turned their season around and what a great group of boys they have been and are. I get on here and hear some of y'all bashing the refs and saying WC boys played dirty, apparently you wasn't at the game, must have been to cold for you! I wasn't going to say anything negative but not going to listen to it either when the refs let late hits and holding go on from Cville every play. As for the word assaulted to even be mentioned is a joke, sign your kid up for cheerleading or golf if you don't like the physical sports! Mine was on the sidelines last night with a broken leg from playing a few weeks back but it wasn't from being assaulted, what an idiot you are
  9. Oh, and don't even start comparing Huntingdon and Cville until you've visited both
  10. Nobody's jealous of Huntingdon's anything, and the only tradition this generation knows is that Swenson chokes in big games. Everybody in the state knows a good coach would have put at least 3 gold balls in the case with the teams Huntingdon has had over the past 10 years or so. Instead of putting your money in a rug you should have put it in a coach
  11. I'm not hating on the turf but who in 1A can afford that, we can't afford to keep sod on the pasture we play on as y'all referred to it
  12. Just another reason they don't belong in 1A, and they still haven't made it out of the third round
  13. Can you explain why you feel so confident that hhs will beat Cville?
  14. It's a beautiful little community that lies in the pretty side of this great state
  15. I liked the intensity Cville played with tonight, you don't see it in the new region 6, I hope they hurry up and put the old region back together before it makes WC soft
  16. Man this hit 10 pages quick, I'll never be able to keep up this week! I keep kicking this game around in my mind and can't come up with a clear advantage for either team. I will say WC was playing much better ball tonight than when they played Huntingdon, they've got better as the year went along. I read earlier in this thread that someone called HHS the kings of smash mouth football, or something like that anyway, but I'll call it like this as WC has played hhs every year now for four years and they don't play smash mouth football, Cville will be the most physical team that hhs has seen this year by far, they were the most physical that WC had seen. Huntingdon just overloads one side and let's the speed take over and it's hard to stop but not sure how they'll react when Cville starts hitting them like they've never been hit before.
  17. On the intentional grounding, they were correct, you can't throw it away in high school without a receiver in the area. The question was there a receiver close enough, WC had one about 6 or 7 yards from the ball so not sure what in the area means
  18. This was the perfect game for Cville before heading to Huntingdon. The line play on offense for Cville was near perfect, great job blocking. Also this was the first time I've been to a Cville game where there was over a hundred or so fans, great to see the community finally backing their team, they need to keep it up when things aren't so smooth like CB10 and old sum1uno!
  19. Cville has the edge on defense and Huntingdon will struggle to stop Cville's run game but at the same time Cville will struggle with Huntingdons speed on offense.
  20. Yes he is and thanks, y'all got a good team. WC showed up and gave their all but came up short. Good luck to y'all next week
