Landers have had too many quality players to quit. Coach needs to be tough but also humble himself enough to keep TEAM chemistry about them. As said before there is no I in team and there is no I in COACH either!

Have looked very good at times but still have more growing to do which is a good thing. Some of the younger players need to buy into the team concept a little better but are coming along. Hope they grow together and keep it up for tourney time. Keeping kids together this time of the year is very tough. Players and coaching staff need to be focused...the target is getting bigger.

It's good to get a win when you aren't hitting on all cylinders...Very good team if everyone stays healthy

The best assistant and one of the smartest coaches around (Hazelwood) was added to Hampton's staff. Very smart on new defense and running new plays. Lucky to have gotten him.

Great big win for the Bulldogs...Unicoi has an awesome team...tonight the Bulldogs are better. Also a couple of big conference losses tonight North Greene over Unaka and Cloudland loses to South Greene...Bulldogs gotta get focused again Tues nite @ South Greene conference time!

Unicoi is in a class of their own right now...sure helps when starting 4 or 5 seniors.

I do believe this IS a bball thread...I love football too but football is over. Give these kids their due. Hampton has worked hard at bball evidently...football will be here again soon enough.ITS BASKETBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE...BTW I always enjoyed coaching all 3 of my kids...never felt like I HAD to....just enjoy the time with them it will pass soon enough.

Yeah he's a joke for a sports writer...never gives the county schools credit for anything...especially Cloudland & Hampton.

Most of the time when you lose you didnt have a good game or "play your best" and sometimes you do play your best and still lose. Truth is Hampton didnt play their best game either but a W is a W and an L is an L. Play again tomorow night and hope both teams play their BEST and lets see who wins this one....very good talent on both teams and probably some unsung heros will take the spotlight.

Eliz has ALWAYS had an attitude. Always better than ALL county schools. Funny thing to me that thats where they recruit the majority of their players AND coaches. But again they should have the best players in sports, look at the size of their school. Cloudland barely has 250 students and Hampton maybe 425 to 450. Not as many players to choose from. They will have their rude awakening on down the season just wait and watch.

A little out of sync and still a little rust. A week off from playing, especially this time of the season, isnt good. But a win for the Bulldogs. According to the schedule, things are gonna get tough for the rest of December for Hampton. Some very tough road games and a tough Unicoi squad comes to Hampton this week. Unicoi is probably the top team in East Tn right now. A little more playing together and some more maturity these guys will get tougher. Tough sledding for the Landers tonight too......

TEAM play is what its all about. Thats why there is 5 on the floor at ALL times. Still some players need to play TEAM ball and pass it around and look more for the open man. STOP WORRYING ABOUT PERSONAL STATS.

Looked like the boys were wanting this one....got another tough one this Friday nite...Johnson County @home.

Better TEAM effort tonight. Some very sloppy play and silly mistakes but the season is young and hopefully the will gel quickly. Also heard the Landers lost 55 40 to a very BIG Avery squad.

What few times I've watched them seems like nobody goes to the boards but I guess its hard to get down the floor when the first one down the floor pulls up and tries to shoot a 3. Way too many shots taken with no one under the goal.

It will take a TEAM effort! Non stop action...keep their cool and look for the OPEN man...no crazy shots. You're right CRASH THE BOARDS!

Should be an interesting year to say the least. Wont see much until after Christmas.
