It may not have been called "Roughing the Passer" because it was a fair play. Looked good from where I was sitting. If I am not mistaken that was Byrd on that play and he had a great game for the Mustangs.

That 12th man almost cost Loretto the game. Lost an on side kick that only went 9 yards after the MTP guy touched it when it had only went 7 yds. They replayed it from Mustang TV, only replay was not allowed. MTP has a pretty good team with some speed, they do need to hang on to the ball better and cut down on those fumbles. I think Mtp only lost one tonight. Glad the Mustangs got the win and good luck to you and your TIgers Big Bigby.

There you go assuming again. Who said Collinwood's defense was small? Also, we had one of our best linemen out that game as well. Based on what I have seen Collinwood appears stronger/larger than MTPs players. Also, where are you getting this antisupport stuff from? Always, support your team up or down like a true fan. Never said you shouldnt. Based on the rushing yards BGA put up, I not sure MTP did a good job of handling those big boys. But if you call that "handling" then maybe yall will handle Loretto's boys as well. Now granted the boys from Loretto are not "Bog" Boys but some do live near the creek.

I dont think I ever said Loretto was BGA. But truth of the matter is every team Loretto has played has changed up who got the ball except for Collinwood, so it shouldnt be that big of a deal that more than one person touches the ball. Several of the teams we faced ran a similar style offense like that of MTP. For someone with a team that just got its first win, against Cornersville, you sure are high on your team. Nothing wrong with that, a lot of times I get delusional as well then get brought back to earth. Nothing wrong with talking a little smack either. lol Like 1MustangFan said, Loretto has several options as well. I fully expect a tough fought game. Loretto just needs to contain the speed and limit the big plays when we are on defense. Easier said than done. MTP will just need to be able to handle the big guys. Also easier said than done.

I will take the 20 against Collinwood's defense over 42 on the Cornersville defense. Also, you have to take in account how much Collinwood milked the clock down limiting loretto's touches on offense. I fully expect MTP to have speed and quickness and a pretty good QB. Loretto should have an edge with our size and we also have a few fast players as well. All positions are starting to play better and picking up their game. Big plays and turnovers will probably be the deciding factor as it is most of the time. With that said I think Loretto pulls in another win this Fridaynight.

Not the game I was expecting. Loretto didnt touch the ball on offense until about 10 minutes into the game. Collinwood just grinded it out a few yards at a time. I think your correct that Loretto only touched the ball about twice in the first half. Loretto got it a little more in the second half. It just seemed like both teams were dead, may have been the rain. Not a lot of emotion from either team. Loretto's defense did a good job of containing LM and limiting him with no big plays. He rolled and threw to his right every time, I dont think that he throw to the left side of the feild the entire night, I know Collinwood did miss some of its players to injuries, as did Loretto. One of our best lineman was out and was missed. Loretto did exactly what it needed to do. Limit the QB to no big plays, limit turnovers and mistakes. Offense did good as well passing, running and receiving took what they gave us and it paid off. Collinwood has a good team and without the injuries would be a really good team and very hard to beat.

Always nice to get a win if you can, but I do hope that all the players remain healthy and there are no injuries for either team. Never good to see any player get hurt. Collinwood fans have a safe trip to Loretto, but I hope you go home with a loss. Im picking Loretto to get the win tomorrow night.

I dont think anybody is underestimating Collinwood. Fully expect a tough game the whole way. I also, think the players are expecting a tough game as well. Hopefully the Mustangs will put togethor a complete game and get the win.

Luckily, Loretto has cut back on the players that play both ways. Only a couple do and thats not the whole game. They do a pretty good job of getting a lot of players in the games. So what kind of defense does Collinwood have?

Last time i checked it wasnt the Loretto fans saying anything about the Collinwood anouncers. It was just about everyone else. And dont know anything about that whining because no one here thinks that.

Not sure why we dont throw much. We have the ability but for some reason just opt not to do so.

I think I tend to lean towards what Wildcat89 is saying. Contain the QB. Collinwoods strength (LM) is what is going to go up against Loretto's strength (defense). Mix in a little blitz to keep them guessing. Granted Loretto's passing defense aint the best in the world but they are getting some better.

Luckily Collinwood has to come to Loretto this year, as they are tough to beat at home.

Perry co. has some size on the line but thats about it. I think the speed of Wayne County helps them take this one.

I dont take any game lightly. When I think we have it going we tend to fall off and get beat. I expect Collinwood to put up a good fight the whole game. This will be a tough one for sure. Loretto just needs to control the lines and hold LM in check. So how long is Reagan out? I thought he would be back for the Loretto game.

Might as well get this one going. Both teams coming off losses. Loretto probably had more mistackles than I have ever seen them have against Lawrence Co. Tackle after tackle we just fell off of the runner. Also, strugled at the line both ways. Not a good game at all for the Mustangs. Strugled on several other things as well. Collinwood has been hit by the injury bug pretty bad, as Loretto had some last night too. In the end contain Montgomery and I think Loretto has a good shot at getting the win. If we dont tackle better could be a long night. Also, if we bye off on those trick plays like last season it could be a long night.

Its not quite 60-2 but what do you expect, its a 5A school vs a 2A school it should be 62-0.
