  1. ONE, TWO, THREE ........WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
  2. HAHAHAHAHA...you all crack me up.....hope to see you in Maryville. We will take it one at a time, if we are lucky enough to continue on maybe you will get your wish.....a date to prove how superior your football teams are. Man how I wish good ole Maryville only knew how to play tough football.....I think East Tn football plays at a little higher level than u give us credit for......our trophy case has a few golden footballs / Alcoa has a few / so does Oak Ridge / Fulton / ..........hope to see you real soon.
  3. Rebulldawg, what blows my mind is how everyone across the state talks about Maryville High Football. No matter who / what division / or where we play everyone wants to talk about how they can beat us and how weak our schedule is. Oh well we will follow GQ's game plan, one game season starting Friday night. If we are lucky enough to advance, maybe we can play a football team that knows how to bring home a golden ball trophy. HOPE TO SEE U GUYS IN MARYVILLE. By the way do not overlook Oak Ridge ( another east tn team )
  4. I am so impressed by Rdale's schedule. Wonder if stars has connections with the person in charge of your outreach garbage service ? May have some dads on this thread looking to get their sons a garbage / football package so they can actually play some "real football teams" during their high school experience. I hope someday our Rebel football team can play someone in a game that would really challenge us, not these weak teams LOL. I guess my son will miss out on a positive football experience by playing for Maryville. Good luck in the playoffs, hope you get your wish ..... OR may have something to say , shouldn't over look them All those "Shining Gold Footballs" in MHS Trophy case ......... WEAK SCHEDULE.... just think what MHS could accomplish if we played some "real football teams"
  5. I think these men are the best around. I have one son that finished his middle school football this year and my other son has 1 more year with the Rebs ( Don Sentell ). These Maryville coaches are all very dedicated and love coaching these boys. I am very thankful for my sons learning about the game of football and life lessons from each of the Lil Rebs /Southerners/and Rebs coaches. I can not speak for all of the park and rec programs because I have not been around them on a daily basis but the Maryville coaches are great. THANK YOU COACHES FOR ALL YOU DO. Congratulations to Fairview for the Superbowl wins. I know a lot of those kids playing against one another will be teammates at MMS. The RB for Fairview Midgets is at Maryville Middle School now and so is #21 Matt Young (he could have helped our MMS team this year). Pipeline looks good for MMS & MHS ... a lot of good looking players with the Maryville Lil Rebs /Southerners/and Rebs ....Fairview Raiders & ...Maryville Titans/Cubs/and Bears. Need to help Stars expand his garbage service
  6. Maryville wins this one big and gets cranked up in playoff form. Looking forward to standing in line waiting on the gates to open.
  7. Tomorrow 12:00 or 12:30 , should be posted on tssaa website
  8. Hey nation I understand your excitement and congratulate you all on a great year. That AMS team was very dominate this year but I have seen some MMS teams the past 2 years roll through the season and not even be challenged. Have heard about some of the other AMS teams and know they have had some pretty big years also. I had a son on the MMS team the past 2 seasons and know that over the past 3 seasons MMS has won 26 consecutive games. But you guys had the best team this year and going 9-0 is a great accomplishment. Some of the 8th graders that were part of 6 Superbowl wins are of the (redshirted) class....we waited an extra year to send our son to kindergarten . My son has played against the McClurg twins every year and both were able to play 2 years of midget ball / 2 years of middle school. Fairviews midget Superbowl win last year was the first loss Don Sentell has had in the championship game in about 5 or 6yrs. His last championship loss was to the Maryville Bears ( think im right with this ). When my son was 12 they lost to Fairview in the regular season but won the Superbowl. I wish you guys the best in the years to follow.

  10. I will agree that this Alcoa Middle School team was a good team and had a great season. But to say they are the "best of all time" , NOT EVEN CLOSE. This is the first "Championship of any kind won by this Middle School coach and team. I do not think Coach McClurg was the head coach the last time Alcoa won the Middle School title. Coach McClurg and several of these kids were at Eagleton for the Grasshoppers / Peewee / and Midget league. They never won the Superbowl. These Maryville 8th Graders who started out with Coach David Hunt as a 7 year old grasshopper have finished their past 8 years of football with a record of 75 wins and 4 losses / 6 Superbowl Championship / 1 Middle School Championship 2010... and are a part of the last 16 wins of the 26 straight wins MMS had going until losing to Sevier Co. Let Alcoa approach 26 straight middle school wins then they can be put in this discussion. Alcoa had the better team this year but they did not blow MMS off of the field. Bad snap and blocked punt hurt MMS ....but they competed hard and in no way did they get blown off the field. Last years MMS team and the team in 2009 were just as dominate as this years AMS in my opinion. I have read a lot of talk about the MMS coach and I would like to say he has done a great job with these kids. Jay Malone is a good man and coach. He has won a lot of ball games and I may not always agree with every decision, he has been very successful. Its easy to second guess from sitting in the stands.
