  1. Corn Elder just committed to University of Miami.
  2. I jumped the gun too quick. Bailey started special teams and played some. I tried to edit it , but couldn't. Sorry about that.
  3. OMG...I am done with coacht and every other message board out there. I forgot that you can't be positive about things in this world anymore. Good luck to everyone............
  4. Me too, UT could have used him this year. We have video of him hitting 65 yarders in practice. There was a question on a post this season as to why all of his kicks didnt go into the EZ. He does exactly as he is told.He is scary accurate, with a booming leg and is Mr. Icewater when kicking in a game. He is working on his consistency with his punting game. I love to talk football, but I dont want to get caught up in the negativity of trash talking during the season. I pull for all of the TN high school kids and I would like to see more talent get to go to the next level. Have a good day all. By the way, I have seen some really good kickers in our region. I wish them the best along with every player.
  5. Gabe got a verbal offer.He didn't commit.
  6. Gabe has traveled all over the South East and proven his worth on the field in 7 on 7's against high school "studs" from Tennessee to Alabama to Florida. I heard that Bama's ole ball coach was impressed. I have seen these kids against older High School guys, they will be fine. Just like I said, remember the names, they are legit. BTW Gabe caught a TD pass on Thursday Night Lights this past season, and Bailey started as a freshman. Bailey was training with Antone Davis until Davis got the job at UT. I was just putting my 2 cents worth in on the subject. Y'all have a good day. BTW Tom Lemming came up with the top 50 list. Tom does his homework. Y'all have a good day.
  7. The biggest advantage EH has is the quality depth. It will take a very good team to beat EH. They do have a rb out for the rest of the play offs, but I don't think it matters this week. If they don't win by 4 td's I will be shocked. I would love to see Page get the upset, but I don't see it happening. Just being realistic, Page hasn't seen the size and speed that they will see Friday night.Good Luck to everyone and I hope all stay injury free.
  8. I would say Cowboy got video of East Hamilton when we (Marshall County) scrimmaged them this year.
  9. East Hamilton looked to be as deep with talent as you will see. It was a fun day. We play Shelbyville again next Friday at our Jamboree. I was impressed with them also. There was a lot of HS talent there yesterday, good luck to all.
  10. Question: Is it against the rules for a coach to ask me to bring my son to their school in another county?
  11. Messin' with ya Falcon..my first attempt at message board trash talk...lol
  12. Aaron Medley, Marshall County ranked #1 Punter in class of 2014 and #2 kicker in the country
  13. Lincoln must have left their speed guys at home in 7 on 7 play.
  14. Well, Giles says they are better than Marshall, and Marshall has handled Lincoln in the spring and dominated Lincoln in 7 on 7 last week. Just stating facts, take from it what you will. Should be fun.
  15. Marshall beat Lincoln in the spring and in 7 on 7 last week. I saw some of the Giles players at a combine my son attended and my feeling is Giles should have no problem. Good luck to both teams.
  16. This should be a fun year. Marshall County is going to be better than most realize.
  17. I would like to invite everyone in the area to our media day on August 3rd. Come on out and meet the players and new coaches at about 6:30 pm. @ Preston Hopkins field.WAXO Radio and TV, WJJM and the Tribune will be present. Big Joe Dubin has agreed to come down and take part. Hopefully our new scoreboard will be up and functioning so we can show it off.(Thanks Waste Management) I hear it will be capable of video and some of you will be happy to know that it won't be causing the lights to go out anymore. Bring cameras and sharpies and your young football players to meet the older guys. We look forward to this season. I have met Coach Pitts and we would like to welcome him and his family back to Lewisburg. I wish everyone in the state well and hope everyone has a positive experience as the season moves on. Also, August the 10th we will have our Jamboree. It will feature Cornersville vs. Zion, Lincoln County Vs. Lipscomb Acadamy, Marshall County and Shelbyville. There will be special entertainment between games as the youth of Marshall County will be involved. We have a young cheer and dance team as well as the top teams from the Marshall County Youth Football League that will play a short game in front of a big crowd.C'mon out and get your High School football fix early here in Marshall County.
  18. I heard that James Wilhoite interviewed for an assistant coaching position today at MCHS.I hope he gets it. We lost another one today also. That leaves Coach Pitts, 2 assistants and a volunteer assistant.
  19. Rico McGraw of Ensworth is pulling them in. He will be a sophomore this season and has verbals from Alabama,Vandy,Ole Miss,Mississippi State and Georgia Tech. Where is Tennessee? C'mon Vols, get in there.
  20. Pitts named MCHS football coach Thursday, July 12, 2012 Marshall County Tribune Marshall County Schools Director Jackie Abernathy has named Aaron J. Pitts to be the new football coach for Marshall County High School. Pitts, 30, of Unionville was a physical education teacher and offensive coordinator for the MCHS Tigers from 2007-2010. He's more recently been working at Stratford High School in Nashville. Before that he was at Warren County High School. Clearly "pleased" to have Pitts back with the Tigers, Abernathy happily told an ironic chain of events. MCHS Principal Keith Stacey gave Pitts a good recommendation to Stratford, "And now, he's taking him away," Abernathy said. Pitts' master's and undergraduate degrees are from Middle Tennessee State University. Born in Monticello, Miss., Pitts has been married 10 years. He and his wife, Esther, have three children: three-year-old twins and a seven-year-old. For more about Coach Pitts, return to marshalltribune.com as more is to be posted since Abernathy's announcement at 3 p.m. Thursday. © Copyright 2012 Marshall County Tribune. All rights reserved.
