  1. I believe close early, but Moore County pulls ahead in the third and fourth to win by double digits, too much depth this year to not keep it close. sportswriters have missed this team this year... Best Moore County team in years, should be ranked in top 5!!!
  2. It's a few weeks early, possibly, but I'm sure everyone has someone in mind that deserves a shot at this title this year. As for me, as you may well guess, I'm a Sara Raby fan from Moore County. Currently averaging 20+ points\ game with over 1500 points for her career as she is closding in on 2000 points. This 6' TREVECCA BOUND senior can do it all, scoring, inside and outside, rebounding, playing point when needed. Post your favorite for discussion thanks
  3. Moore county girls are coming together, developing something they haven't had in years---DEPTH!!! They are playing very well right now and can play 8 to 10 girls if needed. They just knocked off the #1AA girls team in Alabama over Christmas. Look for them to mak a run this year
  4. Looks like Summertown is the hottest team in Murfreesboro in class a. I like Summertown to win it all. The senior dominated team just refuses to lose.

ecu, you've been against anything Moore County all year. it's obvious you must be from bedford or rutherford county. every time i look i find you posting everywhere against moore county. too bad, 'cause moore county should reload and dominate again next year. I'm sure i speak for papatiger, and arcangel as well as the whole moore county community.
  6. congratulations to Summertown!!! They played better and shot better than moore county tonight. good luck to both summertown and loretto next week. see ya next year
  7. I SEE IT THIS WAY.... Cloudland and Cosby both advance along with Clay Co. and Jackson Co., then Moore Co. and Loretto and Union City and Lake Co.
  8. 7p.m. saturday night at motlow state community college
  9. Moore County withstands a valiant effort by MTCS to advance to the Substate (Sectional) game against Summertown who falls against Loretto. A hard fought game by the Raiderettes and Coach Slatten. Summertown will be ready to play....possibly maybe even over-looking Loretto a little bit. Moore County fans need to come out early in full force to root our hometown girls on and make sure you get your seat. This game probably will be played at Motlow College.... go raiderettes!!!! one more game to make it to the state tournament
  10. Also a huge congratulations to Moore County's own Rachel Garland for eclipsing the 2000 point plateau last night for her career and signing a basketball scholarship earlier in the week with TREVECCA, while also receiving the news she is a MISS BASKETBALL FINALIST!!!! (A GOOD WEEEK FOR HER)
  11. THE FINAL SCORE OF MOORE COUNTY VS. WHITE HOUSE HERITAGE WASN'T THE REAL STORY. MOORE COUNTY HELD A 50-14 HALFTIME LEAD. TOTAL DOMINATION OF THIS GAME BY THE RAIDERETTES!!!
  12. now to Monday night: McEwen and MTCS.. LOOK FOR McEWEN TO HAVE A SLIGHT ADVANTAGE AND WIN A CLOSE ONE. MOORE COUNTY VS. HOUSTON COUNTY COULD BE CLOSE EARLY UNLESS MOORE COUNTY JUMPS OUT TO A BIG LEAD. LOOK FOR MOORE COUNTY'S AGGRESSIVE DEFENSE TO BE THE DIFFERENCE. MOORE COUNTY WINS GOING AWAY BY 15
  13. It's finally here, district games are completed! The run towards the state tournament has begun and the road leads through East Robertson High School in Cross Plains, TN. What and who should we expect to see victorious on Friday night's opening games? I expect to see a smothering defense as Moore County hosts White House-Heritage with Moore County winning big. I would like to think that MTCS can hold off a tough Nashville Christian team. I think Cascade will give Houston County trouble with Houston County pulling it out in the end. Community will defensively give McEwen some trouble before McEwen pulls ahead to stay.
  14. EVERY DISTRICT 9A COACH SHOULD BE COMPLETELY EMBARRASSED ON ALLOWING OTHER TEAMS TO HAVE MORE PLAYERS MAKE THE ALL-SEASON TEAM THAN MOORE COUNTY WITH JUST TWO!! BEING 30 AND 3 AND UNDEFEATED IN DISTRICT 9A PLAY SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR ANYONE TO SEE THAT MOORE COUNTY IS MORE THAN A TWO GIRL TEAM!!! MOORE COUNTY ALWAYS GETS THE SHORT END OF THE STICK WHEN IT COMES TO AWARDS... JUST ASK COACH SLATTEN WHO GOT THE SHORT END LAST YEAR AS WELL AS THIS YEAR.. NOT TO SAY COACH JEAN WASN'T DESERVING, BUT COACH SLATTEN WAS AS WELL!!!
  15. Again, Moore County's Rachel Garland, who also eclipsed the 1,500 point total last year, should eclipse the 2000 point total during the regional tournaments has over 600 rebounds, 300 assists and 300 steals for her career has got to be a real contender for Miss Basketball
  16. From the southern middle tennessee area, our own Sarah Raby from Moore County has shown why she should be considered the best or one of the best post players, dominating inside and now pulling her defensive girl out and going 3-ball at any time in the offense. This junior is already hearing the praises from college coaches!!
  17. what does the remaing brackets look like for the rest of the tournament?
  18. Could someone please post the location of the region 5a tournament this year. thanks
  19. Another young lady that should be getting mentioned as well is junior center Sarah Raby from Moore County. She is second on the team in rebounds and points per game and is closing in on 1500 points for her career.
  20. The top choice this year has got to be Rachel Garland of Moore County. She was a finalist last year as well, but has improved every aspect of her game this year leading Moore County in pts/game, rebounds, steals, and assists. She does whatever it takes to give her team the best chance to win.
  21. The Raiderettes made the beginning of what I hope to see a championship run towards the state tourney. They came out with more aggressiveness and offensive mindedness and must have caught Huntland on the mend as they caused turnover after turnover and scored seemingly on nearly every possesion. It looks like their shooting may be on the turn-around as well. If the girls can continue to improve on every possession instead of every quarter, expect to see them at the boro!
  22. I had hoped for a better offensive night than 30% from the field and 65% from the free throw line; however, defensively, the girls from the country took care of business. Moore County wins going away 49 to 38. Next up Forrest. go get'em girls!!!
  23. The girls from Lynchburg look to string together five good games as they will be facing a very good MTCS team, Forrest, Huntland and Community (all district games) before hosting AAA Lincoln Co. on the 28th. Expect to see a better defensive and offensive effort than their last game at Fayetteville City. I hope the girls can get hungry again, as you must be playing your best ball at tournament time. I'm just not quite sure that they've peaked yet!!
