Just a couple things. I saw looking through this that Bell lost to two 6A schools. Not true. They lost to a 4A and a 5A school. Lexington Catholic and Harlan County. Also Bell is 3A in KY, not 4A. They are in the SE corner. They play some smash mouth style of football. The year they played Alcoa it was 14-14 at halftime. One of Alcoa's TD's came on a Hook and Lateral. Otherwise, Bell would have held the lead. The team Bell lost to in the playoffs is the three time defending 3A state champ Louisville Central. Sometimes Central has a 5-5 record going into the playoffs because they play some of the better teams in Louisville. Unfortunately, for 3A, those teams who beat them in the regular season are about the only ones in the state capable of beating Central. Bell, known as the Kings of the Mountains of EKY, will be well coached, very disciplined, strong, and tough. Very old school in their approach to the game. They will be young though.

Does anyone have any information on their scrimmages yet? I went to school there a long time ago. I am visiting some people for the summer and would like to watch them at least one time.

Who does Morristown West scrimmage this summer? Times, locations?

Anyone have any idea what the rest of the schedule for Morristown East looks like?

Harlan County was 11-3. They lost in the state semi finals of 5A in KY to Ft. Thomas Highlands of national renown. They other losses were to Bell County, KY who made the state semi finals in 4A and they had a week 1 loss to Pulaski Co. KY and then avenged that loss in the regional final. They return 8 starters on both sides of the ball. They also have two kids returning who were their two leading tacklers in 2009 but had ACL tears in the preseason last year.
