  1. No just proud that we are smart enough to recognize facts before we speak
  2. Let's see genius, they lost to Ensworth 21-7 lost 43-47 (state runner up), Brentwood Academy (we had girls out and beat them second time handedly and Lawrence County record of 26-7 in state tournament AAA lost 59-62. Who we beat 12 teams with a combined winning record of 245-108 and never lost to a One A team. Sorry "dumbfantic" wrong. Must be from Greenbrier.
  3. CPA has 4 strong guards and two strong post players. They may have to play the 4 guards most of the time if Manassas is going to press. I am not certain how well CPA will handle that.
  4. Pemberton is taking the head coaching position at Brentwood
  5. Great game by both CPA and Macon Co. I can't believe neither of these teams are ranked in the top 10 in the state. Macon Co is really good, great guards but very strong down low. Calamity Jane is the real deal although she gets away with a lot of fouls down low on the post. CPA played like champions. Down most of the 4th qtr and down 4 with less than a minute left. Meredith Roman hit 3 free throws with 2.7 secs left to send to overtime. CPA dominated OT. Will be interesting to see how they do against Page and Waverly.
  6. I will spare you the time to deal with this Dad1, 5 sport dad is indeed an idiot.....no need to give him any more attention. Go back to Greenbrier....

  8. Sorry ibell -all of these facts are accurate
  9. Coach I disagree with you. If my son was a good player and wants to play at a collegiate level, I am sending him to a school like CPA for the exposure. So far at CPA games this year, they have had Coach Pitino, Calipari, Stallings, Byrd, Virginia Coach Bennett, Coach Martin to name a few. I would assume most of these coaches come to see Jalen Lindsey, however, they get exposed to all of the other kids playing which may open doors that would not have been availabe to them playing at a school, let's say, Greenbrier. Playing at a school with high level talent and in showcase tournaments such as the Bluebrass and Arby's clearly is good for the kids. Also, just an FYI to all of the people who believe Coach Maddux recruits, let me share that Allsmiller, Lindsey, Howell, Blackwell and Richard all played on the same AAU team together since they were 12 years old and they have always want to play HS together. Coach Maddux had no input on that. Lastly with regards to the MBA 8th grader playing at CPA, during his 8th grade year at MBA his mom become very ill resulting in the 8th grader having difficulty handling the situation. This led to him ultimately pulling out of MBA and receiving a "hardship" year. That is why TSSAA allowed him to play in those 6 games at CPA. Then when someone complained they reversed their ruling, which really shows what they are about. They don't concern themselves with the wellness of the kids.
  10. What happened with Coach Pack?
  11. Oddly enough I talk to several CPA parents and I have never heard that
  12. That is a pretty bold statement -are a CPA parent?
  13. Honestly, I don't think the CPA Administration, or any public or private school administration spend time reading posts from fans that don't know all of the facts. They went to the source, which was the TSSAA and got a ruling, which now appears to be incorrect. Case Closed. Forfeit wins or not, tournament time is what counts.
  14. TSSAA made the mistake here from what I heard from a school official. CPA provided TSSAA all necessary info for Blackwell and TSSAA released him to play then later retracted their approval. TSSAA looks bad on this one.
  15. I agree with you 100% - it is getting frustrating for sure
  16. Thanks Ken for your response, really no need for us to meet, you should meet with the school administration to discuss your issues and then finally move on. Good luck.
  17. I am glad you understand your role now. I am not certain why anyone would support anyone making uncheck statements about CPA or any school and why would they even care. Coach T is designed to follow your particular team, support them and enjoy them. Maybe you had a bad experience at CPA, not certain, I understand the background with Ken Brooks. I am not certain why he continues to live in the past. CPA is an excellent school, excellent academics, spiritual leadership and has excellent athletics regardless. It is not for everyone, thus must be the reason you hold a grudge as well. I am simply looking at the post to follow progress of the school's sports.
  18. Didn't realize you are such a saint or should I say hypocrite - I honestly don't think I have torn Brooks down - he simply holds a major grudge which I will continue to state - you must be a close friend
  19. As long as Ken Brooks continues to bad mouth CPA I will continue to call him on it
  20. Our dear friend, Coach Ken Brooks, let go from CPA 6 years ago and still can't forget it.......
  21. If all posts were just about the teams, the kids and the game it would be different but too many posts are about badgering each other not the sport
  22. Do you work for a living? With this many posts, you must be retired. I like the fact you are a CPA fan, as I am a CPA parent, but please for the sake of the school, give it a rest.

Ah yes, our good friend Ken Brooks. I can't call you coach as I don't think you coach anymore. Ken, why in the world do you continue to slander a previous employee. Do you not realize that potential future employees read these. It is kind of like telling my teenager not to get on Facebook and do anything stupid as it can ruin his reputation. Seems you are more difficult to teach than my teenager. Let's talk about basketball and the fun we will have this year watching our respective teams full of teenagers. Remember this is not the NBA and teenagers are what we are taling about and by the way they read these post also. Don't you think it bothers them to read some of the slander people put on here.
