personally I hope this FC team plays Boyd in the sub state/sectional game. I would like to believe FC could blow them out but if the game gets close i believe this FC team has a good record at winning close games against them so far this year

This group of FC mens athletes have already been on top twice this year by winning state in football and mens basketball. What are the chances of the commanders winning the baseball thus making a clean sweep of the 3 major mens sports? (not to mention the volleyball state championship back in the fall).

well then in that case you were still wrong. unless you want to say that mcewen and PC werent good teams. which i believe they were both very good teams.

being a private shcool has nothing to do with why they won it. i find it amazing that is the one thing you pick out of everything i said. and you may have picked fc to win but you also said that you saw the district and region down this year so that is why you picked fc. you may have picked us but it was always backed by the statement "because the area is down this year". so my statement stands that the district/region/substate/state was not down this year. FC was up this year and they proved it to everyone.

swanson no offense to you but your opinion of our team has become irrelevant to me. every level we have been at you have said we won or did well in it because it was "a down year" for that level (district/region/substate/state). these boys won the state. i dont know how you can compare this years teams to last years teams without them playing each other which is obviously not possible so it is solely your opinion. at some point you have to realize that these boys have done nothing short of being the best team in the state. if BTW or Lake or even Perry had won then you would have said "great job you deserved it" but with this private school all you have to say is "everyone else was down this year". they won they were the best. plain and simple. fact of the matter is that they won. which makes them the best team in the state. hate it or love it. i dont care. just know they were a much better team than you have given them credit for all year long.

yes you did! and you knocked off the prior defending state champs. a very respectable task completed there. and even a nice silver ball to show for it! congrats on the good season by PC

McNeal was also an assistant this year to head coach Cleve Harris is his Basketball state championship.

The fact that Perry County jacked up 28 3s could be part of the reason also . but also if you only made 3 of those then that means you must have been playing against a much better defense than you are used to playing against.

Alright aside from the fact that i love how everyone hates this private school because they win, they did win the state championship. their first ever in mens basketball. so let the players and coaches and the rest of the school enjoy the win and stop trying to bash them when they win. if you want to argue over football then take it to the football boards. thats what they are there for. on the subject of recruiting, any school in the state is allowed to recruit. public or private. the thing they cannot do is put an athlete on scholarship. big difference. so this FC team more than likely has recruited players. but none of them are on scholarship provided by the school. so the school is completely legal in the field of recruiting/scholarships. lastly, congratulations to that well-coached, tough playing Friendship Christian mens basketball team on their first state tournament and first state championship. it was a great season to watch and i'm sure anyone else who was at the majority of the games would agree. it feels good to know that a third gold ball for the senior class of 2012 is back in good ole possumtown. cant wait to see what the rings for these boys will look like

The reffing was terrible in the 3rd and beginning of the 4th. i heard many of the other parents discussing the foul count being 14 to 2 . and i can remember one kid getting thrown to the ground while shooting a layup and then getting called for a elbow when he tried to post on an inbounds play? it was touch fouls that put PC at the line while the whistle was only heard on the other end when the ball was knocked out of bounds. never the less, FC still pulled a good win while playing not so great in my opinion. they can do a lot better. looking forward to the rest of the season

the win over FC was not convincing to me at all. the commanders have had a total of 3 practices due to the football state champions. the refs started out the game with the foul count as 9 to 2 in favor of clay. if that aint hometown the i dont know what is. i would look for the commanders and also watertown to put a big W up on clay next time each team plays them.

I didn't say the couldn't do it. I said they shouldn't be able to do it. And I do not believe the bates kid is the next John Jenkins. He is good but not John Jenkins. If Pickett has 5 good players then they should be able to beat one good player but it sounds like they don't.

Sorry I hit the 2 instead of the 1. But yeah bates is a great player as always. But one player shouldn't be able to beat 5. If that is what happened then I'd be afraid to see what happens when you play a team with 5 good players

Well they just got beat by 25 at home against Watertown. I don't know if I ever remember Watertown beating pickett county.

Nobody has really stopped him from the noseguard spot yet. I don't see it happening now. I'll predict 2 sacks for him in the state championship game

Other private schools? Such as Boyd Buchanan? Yeah we played them. We won. They are still crying about it too.

its beginning to crack me up that some of you people are still complaining about a week old game. get over it already. Boyd LOST! FCS WON! there is not a thing you can do to change it. so quit your crying and complaining and either watch/talk about the games for the next week or get in to basketball mode. if the trousdale fans had cried this much over their loss then the creekbank would be overflowing by now
