I completely understand. Lots of good memories!

We put a lot of stock on a bunch of 15-18 old kids, you know. Glad they have all been successful to get to this point in their young lives. They’ll remember this game forever, regardless of outcome.

I’m interested as well and I’ll sure try to pal… could be a hard hitting game or it could be a lopsided affair. Depends on which Hampton team shows up. We are more of a throw it bunch anymore. Mike Leach has reincarnated into coach Lunsford. but we definitely have our hands full, no doubt about it

FC’s running game and Hampton’s are two totally different animals. And both are good at what they do. Watching that game as we speak. anxious to see how York adjust.

Would like to have seen a Jones/Leffew collision had the years been right. both are very similar running the football and coming down and cracking heads defensively. Tough is a good word to describe it.

For sure Hampton is definitely the underdog, no doubt about it. York is the team to beat. QB is tough, and hard nosed. I like the kid. Lineman look like studs and can move people. Don’t think we can be judged from earlier in the season at Pisgah… had some key injuries and things happen, mixing up and trying to find the best rotation of linemen, and basically was trying to find an identity.. just happened to hit that buzz saw during that time at Pisgah. Grace Christian and TC claimed they played a much tougher schedule back in the day too, only to be taken to the woodshed in 2015 and 2021 up here in the sticks…and I’m not saying we’re that caliber of team either, just making the point that SOS means nothing most of the time. I do believe it will be a close game. Closer than anticipated.

Yes I do miss it. Happy to help. Between work and these boys it’s hard to find time for anything else. Just glad they let me hang around.
