  1. Although during my high school days, my school never aloud music, here is my opinion... "Respect My Fresh" - rap "Around the Fur" - Deftones "Head Up" - Deftones "Aenima" - Tool "Ball Tongue" - Korn "Freeze Time" - 311 A lot of 311 stuff would go great "Unsung" - Helmet And the end of "One" by Metallica. a minute before he says "Landmine has taken my sight..." Oh, and old System of a Down
  2. I have a feeling Temple will run with it. Some of the Grace fans that I am friends with say that they think Grace will be down this year. We basically have the same coach. Skogen has been right there the whole time. it won't hurt them one bit
  3. Coach Skogen will do fine. He has been right there with Coach Wadley for years. If you don't know Coach Skogen, then you obviously don't realize this man's level of intelligence. One of the smartest guys I know. I believe Coach Wadley did great with Temple, but I don't think this transformation will hurt the team. Skoge's is a great modivational speaker. He's better than Matt Foley, who by the way, lives in a van down by the river. He pumps the guys up and gets them fired up. I hope/believe he will do well with these guys. I pray they do well this year. Yes, he will want Seth to excell and be great. Who doesn't want his kid to do that? That being said, I believe Skoge's will do what's right for the team and the kids. He is smart and He is great with the kids. I am not taking away from Wadley. I am just saying, that's the past, and I believe this change will be fine. I am sure there will be some angry parents along the way. "My kid doesn't play enough"...blah blah blah. I played bball my whole life, and then one year of Varisty my sophomore year. I realized I belong behind the bench cheering. My parents and I didn't cry when I didn't play. I probably only saw 14 1/2 minutes of varsity time. You know what, I didn't care. High school ball, to me, is not about equal minutes of playing time. I would rather the best players be out there winning the game, rather than me feel good cause I played the same amount as Dee or Sean Wadley did. you know? People get bent out of shape just cause their kid is terrible and they don't get to play. The truth is, those parents are afraid to admit that their kid needs to stay off the court and find their hobbies that they are actually good at. Alright I am done with that. just making the statement that some parents will complain cause Coach Skoge's is "being unfair". You might see it on here in a few months, but I am getting my venting out early. That being said, Skoge's will do a fine jo b.
  4. Slick Rick, can I meet you tonight? I am eager to see what your really look like, cause from coacht.com i just picture the guy who plays Stewart off of Mad TV. You're picture looks like him.
  5. Im gonna say Josh will be more physical. He is a beast. Watch him in football. I believe he will push the two big boys out of the paint, but then their long arms will come in handy as well. Jumping for rebounds, Josh would lose most of the time, but he is much more physical and I feel he is scrappy and is very motivated to do what he can to stop them from just reaching over him and letting them get the rebound.
  6. Someone might have covered this, but Mychael Green has been at temple. He just decided to play this year. And how can someone sit behind Temple and hear the bench? If you believe that, then you haven't been to Finley Stadium. I am pretty sure there is a 10 ft (minimum) wall and then the players are like 25 ft + away from the stands. PLUS, Mtnman says he was on the field and didn't hear anything. In conclusion, itwonthappenagain sounds bitter. He's probably a little high school kid.
  7. oh great another person who prefers to himself every other 5 seconds.
  8. oh please. save it. and i was pointing out how you took my comment and made it seem as though i was saying CSAS won't have a good team. It's funny how I've constantly heard how CSAS beat temple the last time they played.yeah well temple beat them too. that was last year and it is in the past. CSAS lost player(s), and who did Temple loose? 3 seniors, who I love, but weren't the key players. Temple still has their starting five and more. CSAS lost their key player who shot it every time he touched the ball
  9. you are obviously an idiot. i was complimenting CSAS stupid. it's people like you who don't actually process information into their brain that annoy me. I was saying come on it is CSAS they always produce a good team.
  10. you obviously don't read anything. He was replying to my post. Think, read, and develop something in your brain before comments like that. go back and read mine first, kid.
  11. I'll take Silverdale on that one
  12. Don't be jealous little silverdale boy. Don't be hatin' on good teams. You're school will do fine, but you guys are young and new so there isn't a whole lot to talk about. You are just now joining the rivalry. No one cares about TACS. I am glad you guys stepped into the light (TSSAA). I hope Silverdale adds fuel to the Reg 3A rivalry. It will make it even better. We all know I am a temple fan, but look at it this way. This year's Temple team is in the position of last year's Grace team. Temple has all the elements to take it all. If they play strong and hard all year, I believe they will win. Last year, Grace was the team and had a GREAT lineup. I feel they will rebuild this year. I think at the beginning they will start slow, but then Grace will impress people, but I say give them another year so we can see what they are building with. We know they have McMasters, so I can't wait to see what team Mattheiss is putting together for the next two years. As for CSAS, all I heard last year was Powell this and Powell that, so I don't know what to expect. I do know that they will dominate their District, and will be a good team. I just don't know how good they will be. I mean, come on, it is CSAS. They put up a fight and have talent. and I hate their gym. It's not so much the crowd, but the fans' voices bounce off the walls and the ceiling.
  13. I know this is about Grace, but Silverdale has suprised me the past year. Being a young team in TSSAA, I feel they are on their way to making some noise in the future, if they continue to get better. I was impressed with them last year. and correct me if i am wrong, but didn't they make it to Regionals last year? They are a new team (Not counting the years in TACS).
  14. Pasture, don't tell me to get a new team. Don't tell me my support for temple isn't strong.Take your ignorance somewhere else. I've been affiliated with Temple my whole life. I don't like the title of this thread. It gives people the idea that Temple has a big head after one big win. I love Temple. I want them to win State. They are a great team who beat a great team, Sout Pitt. My support for them is strong thank you very much. I just don't want people thinking the players are cocky and have big heads just because a few people got on here and talked and made a new thread about Temple winning state after a big win. Someone said a few posts back that a different title would have been better, like "Proud of Temple" or something along the lines of that. Sure my boys can feel proud cause they beat the former number 2 team in state. They deserve it. They are thinking about state. I just don't think they are looking ahead. Coach Skogen is smart. I have sat in the locker rooms while he spoke. He focuses on one game at a time. You made me to be an unloyal fan who says that the guys aren't looking towards State. I didn't say that. If you took it that way then that is your problem. I know they look to State, but Coach Skoge's and Beardo won't let them overlook the rest of the season. Oh and after one game, they don't think they will win state; it just helps them believe that there is hope ahead of them.
  15. not doggin on McMasters, but you have to admit this. Last year during several games McMasters would be outside the three point line and just linger away from the paint. He has the height to dominate down there. Why don't they just feed him up down low constantly?
  16. don't say temple people are saying this. this is some random guy that no one knows. When I saw this thread I thought it wasn't a good idea. I prefer everyone to assume temple has no chance. That takes pressure off of them, and they can play their hearts out. I doubt after a win over SP that Temple is thinking they will win State.
  17. aren't they basically the only legite team in the county? just messin. I doubt they will make much noise. I say CSAS/SP in district champ. CSAS favored, of course.
  18. you obviously are a "youngbballfan"....it's a no brainer?. Maybe Grace will make it back to State, but I doubt they will make it to the championship game. But if they do, then hey cool. whatever. McMasters really only has height. Josh Smith shut him down all last year. Yes, he got his occasional dunks and blocks, but when you're that tall, you are expected to do that. I am not saying Seth Skogen will win it. I can't/won't say that he will win it, but to make the statement you did is assinine
  19. I highly doubt that the Temple players have been dwelling on the SP game. First, this is a big region game. Second, temple has never beaten whitwell. i overlooked Silverdale, and i assumed wrong. to me this game is more important that SP. Next week I will be thinking about that game. I asked off work for this game. I can't wait to see it. I don't even go to the high school anymore, and I am still excited about it. i pray temple pulls this one off. I feel confident in them.
  20. Im sorry but I highly doubt McMasters will be up for it this year. Maybe in the future but not now.
  21. Mitch Beard is my favorite player. No credit. He's underrated. He's great. He's hardcore. And his passion for football and sports. I've never seen so much emotion in sports as I have seen in Mitch. He's your modern day Rudy He gets knocked down but jumps right back up. Wow. that's dedication
  22. ok so yes...you are on to something...they supposedly came from Alabama and started young at CCS, and now their plan has unfolded. They came to Temple. That is an amazing scheme. Who cares if they are from Alabama? When they moved to Chattanooga, their plan wasn't to take over Temple. They started out at CCS. The Wadleys live in GA, but when a man and his wife have been at Temple for over 24 years, I am pretty sure that is not "handpicking". Plus as someone else said, he left Temple and is at McCallie. And Josh lives in GA, but he came when he was still a fat kid who stunk at basketball. He just developed into a fine athelete
  23. "and I look for Grace to have their way with Temple next year as well" I highly doubt that. I am sure Grace people would agree. Grace is losing a lot. This will be a year for them to rebuild. CSAS...that's a different story. Who knows who will win these games? It could go either way with them. Anywho. Did anyone notice that the bulletin and the TV announcers mentioned it was Grace's first year at State and on TV they said it was their first Championship appearance? That was dumb on their behalf. Also, Chattanooga Grace? That was a little odd. Why didn't they put Grace Baptist? Are they banning the word "Baptist" along with everything else Christian affiliated in this world?
  24. I just remember our first year we won that our girls got it, so i thought it was a pity award for cheerleaders.haha..what's the point of it anyways?(sorry to get off the main subject)
