With #8, #21,#10,#13,#23 all back.....I could see UHS be in the finals again next year.

Would love to see a Macon vs Upperman final. I think it is possible now that Macon is switching districts and wouldn't meet till the finals.

I will still go on record sating those Boarder twins are the fastest 2 players we seen all season.

Since the upperman community feel they got cheated I hope we both make it back.

Daniel Boone & David Crockett, yep big fight broke out during the post-game meet-n-greet at mid-field.      Both teams still point to each other as the instigator, maybe we'll never know for sure.     However the TSSAA took this very seriously as they should.               I remember that at the next year's game there was an unusually heavy police presence to make sure everybody got the message.

Idk what 11 did or said but they wanted him!

Metro is open zone now. As long as that stays the same, nothing will change at Glencliff.

This year's coach got fired for something outside of football.

Holy smokes when this happened? I haven’t heard anything about it. I thought he had the kids believing

So where do you have this PCHS team all time in metro Nashville?

    1.  1981 Overton. Not ever going to be topped

    2. 2023 PCHS. 15-0. Won at MBA and at state champion CPA

    3. 2008 Hillsboro. Ended Maryville 74 game winning streak

    4-5. 1996-1997 PCHS. John Henderson/Buck Fitzgerald teams

    6. 1989 Whites Creek.  Led by future Super Bowl  champion Shelton Quarrels one of the great all time defenses

    7.  1991 Stratford.  The 4 horsemen.  Peaked here should have won it all in ‘92

that’s my list that I have seen in person

Old heads got to answer this lol. I don’t have that much knowledge but I do remember the PCH teams and the Hillsboro team.

Force county's to close open zoning when capacity is there? That's not a TSSAA rule

I don’t think people understand this. Everybody has a different opinion/definition of open zone. Most metropolitan areas are open zone. So that would basically just split the city schools and the county schools. Somebody posted the numbers a few years ago, but the county schools were going to be at a huge disadvantage because you take about 50 schools out of the equation. traveling would be a nightmare. Just take the basketball conversation with the shot counties are complaining about. How are they going to pay for the shot clock. One thing I do agree is that they need to take at least one division away and just have 1a-5a.

Faking cramps is ridiculous.  I hate it in college and to see a high school team do it is even worse.  They definitely need a good class in theater.  Those big boys did spend a lot of time on the ground but they didn’t lay down and fake it. But upperman did make it to the game today. Can’t take that away from them.

It’s a part of the game it is what it is.

How's the 6 diffrent players for PC doing who layed on the ground. 77 and 74 spent a fare amount of rolling on the ground to. It happens. But congrats to PC!

They also missed the rest of the series also. 77 was at 60%. They had to carry him off the field last week.

I've thought you were the favorite entering the season but to say NOBODY on your schedule is beating MC (I agree with MBA or CPA) is a stretch.  Greeneville laid and Egg and didn't adjust and got beat by 7 and stood toe to toe with Alcoa for a half and Macon was within 3 at Upperman to beat them.  You are essentially saying that you are at least 3 TD's better than Upperman by your comparison.  We will find out on Saturday if you would be bankrupted or not because if Upperman is within 14 points MC is in a dog fight with Macon and Greeneville.  If Upperman wins then it means you would in a dog fight with Greeneville and Macon.  We shall see on Saturday if your post ages well or not.....

    talking about regular season swipes

Yeah, I agree I couldn’t  understand the Greeneville play calling after the first quarter it’s like they were shocked Upperman could play and didn’t really have a plan B.  They had no urgency or rhythm, plus they barely tested Uppermans secondary which aloud them to load the box against Quillen. Credit Upperman they won the line of scrimmage on both sides.

Pearl Cohn is on another level though at every position and will have no problem running the rock or throwing against them! Big Ups for Upperman getting to this stage!  They will be much better next year with all this experience they are gaining, they are 1 of 2 teams in 4a still practicing football, that’s a great season for anybody!

Only difference is we know that when you make it to the state it’s not by luck. I’ve seen the film and the kids watch the film. Expecting the unexpected. So they won’t get no playing around or no laziness with us we getting straight to business and standing on it.

Doing some watching and score comparisons, which can be tricky, I have made a few observations.

UHS tried to beef up the schedule but some unfortunate things happened. Cookeville refused to play them. Lebanon was a little down this year. Fayetteville didn't have the team they had the last couple years. Whitehouse is not the 90s Whitehouse.

The 4a region UHS plays in is top to bottom is better than the one PC plays in, in my ooinion. That being said, said Macon is as good or better than anyone on the PC's regular season schedule excluding CPA. MBA didn't have one of thier better teams this year by far. Whitehouse is not what they were back in thier hayday. Playing Greeneville and Macon twice, are two of the top 4-8 teams in 4a.  Fayetteville has 1 maybe two legit d-1  players.  Those two Boarders twins at Macon could play anywhere. As far as size, Smith County the last two seasons is as big as anyone in the state on the OL abd DL.

I think the problem PC poses, they have big kids like Smith Co. Pc has kids fast like the Boarder twins and those few at Fayetteville and Lebanon, and has some WRs like Greeneville. But all combined on one team.

If UHS starts slow, or has that one quarter they meltdown in, it's over. If they come out like they did vs Stone and Lebanon.....and can keep it up, it will be a ball game. I beleave this UHS team is better than the team that pushed Alcoa to the wire in the semi's a few years ago. Beat a Greenville team who was tied with Alcoa at the half, and yes I know Alcoa was driving.

I think if you switched the names to Alcoa, Greeneville, Anderson, or Elizabethton vs PC....the narrative would be diffrent. I get it, UHS is the new kid at the big dance. I just keep thinking it  will be way closer than most are thinking it will be.

That’s your opinion, and some things I can agree with some things I can’t. There’s NOBODY on your schedule that’s beating CPA ,MBA or MC.  I’m putting the bank on Marshall County against Macon County. Let’s not forget that White House team you guys were struggling with. The same White House that almost beat 10-0 Harden county. Stone and Dekalb can’t beat Station Camp.. We also have a bigger district. Creekwood would also give some of the other teams in your district a problem. Playing any team twice and beating them is some monumental. Also the D1 stuff don’t do much because everybody we have played has at least one of those kids. Thats the gift and curse of being in Nashville.

I can’t believe anyone has not mentioned this yet! The weather forecast for Saturday morning is currently calling for an 80% chance of rain with temps in the upper 50’s to low 60’s. For a team like Upperman who can rely mainly on the run game, does that help them by limiting the PC offensive capabilities? What affects could this have on each team? Let’s hear it guys. What say you?!

Actually was told by kickoff it should stop. You can go either way becauseboth teams like to run. One question is have Upperman played on wet turf?

I think this will be a much closer game than people think. I understand why people aren’t picking Upperman because they’ve never been here and are less proven. But I think Upperman will surprise some people with how physical they are up front and how committed to blocking and tackling they are

I actually do too..I don’t believe the hype at all. Y’all’s defense is legit and it won’t shock us on the physical part because yall do what yall do and they “The kids” believe in it.

Mr Football finalist doesn’t mean much to me in this state. They have chosen some that deserve it and left others that really do deserve it off that list over others that really don’t even belong on that list.

The man asked for some of our top players…..I’m just replying to upper and you went on a rant about TN MR FB but you’re correct. Only problem is it happens in every state.

  14. Reading thru the board and at the end of the day both teams are 14-0. It Seems like upperman has been the underdog most of the playoffs but they find a way to win. PC kids know if the come out loafing Bexter will punch them in the mouth and it’s hard to stop that bleeding. Whos defense is going to step up??
