Trust me if someone closer to home would have wanted to play we have scheduled them in a heart beat. Its sorta like when Elizabethton wouldn't schedule us in 07-08 and had to travel to the middle of KY to play their 2a state champs Mercer County. As far as i know it is a home and away thing with Franklin Co. so yes they should come to our place next year

Franklin Co was the only team that would schedule them to get 10 games. Jeff Co., Elizabethton, SS, and Tennessee High all dropped us. replaced them with Science Hill, Mo West, Alcoa, and Frankling Co. Coach called around the NE Tennessee area and no one wanted to play.

Says the one who probably never has/will see the football field . I actually know/helped alot of the seniors on last year team that were state champs when I played at GHS.

Signal Mountain wont even make it to the finals because of Greeneville or Maplewood. White House has a good shot if they draw the bracket up the same way as last year, then get killed in the championship!

Greeneville has 2 prospects that are getting looked at by D1 schools. Terrell Rollins has been talking to Ole Miss and Jamel Hall has been talking to UK and UT for FB. Hall already holds offers from UTC and Tennessee State.

Might want to do a little research about Curt before you say all he does is get the water. He has had 3 knee surgeries or he would be the starting QB this year. He got to play his freshman year as the back up and did a good job when he got his chances. I'm not even a SS fan, just alot of respect for a great QB/person that I played against.

I would say the DL. Hall and Rollins have started since their freshman year and have alot of experience in big time games. I'm a Defensive minded person tho

I can give you some rough estimates on the starters from last year on the starting OL/DL. At DT you have Rollins (6-6'1 265-275) Getting some looks from D 1 schools including Ole Miss, The other DT is Ethan Malone (6'2-6'3 275-280). DE is Garrett Rambo (6' 200 ) and the Stud of the D Jamel Hall (6' 250-260) who has already been offered by UTC and getting alot of looks from UK and TN for FB. On the O line you had Dunkan Gibson, Jacob Cope, Justin Tomlinson, Brandon Jones, and Nathan Renner. All of them around the same size at (6'-6'2 225-260). They return everyone mentioned besides Cope who played Center

I'm sure ole eLdIaBlOvErDe probably doesn't even play for Greeneville. Just somebody trying to stir the pot like the Waterboy from Signal Mountain. Coach Ballard is a top notch coach and teaches his players about humility and respect.

I guess we will see in the near future if we are a flash in the pan team in 4A. I guess you could say playing up all those year might have cost us some gold ball or two like those few years you spent in 3A. Its been fun trading back and forth with you but on a serious note good luck to Trousdale and we will try to take down Sissy Mountain this year!

Insinuating a program is shady because of open enrollment isn't bashing a program? Saying platooning (even when Greeneville didn't) is ladyball thats not bashing anyone? You could have just moved up a classification so tougher teams would have to play you like Greeneville has always done but i'm sure you wanted to just beat up on the cream puffs

I'm not the one that came on this thread bashing Trousdale. You came on here talking about how Greeneville pays for players through open zoning. Its been happening since atleast the 50's in Greeneville and Greene County. Now Greeneville has won a state championship and now we are doing something illegal . Greeneville has always had alot of Bravado because we have played up and competed with much larger schools for decades now. Greeneville's philosophy has always been "To be the best you have to play the best" and thats what we have done.

Winning a championship and being a championship caliber team are two different thing buddy. There can be many teams that have the talent to compete for a championship (Championship calibur) but don't win it

blah blah blah....blame old TSSAA for classifing them in the classification they were in by the size of their school in 09. I guess your predicting a State Championship for my Devils this year because right now we only have 1 . You keep beating your chest about playing ladyball and beating teams like Red Boiling Springs .

No i'm telling you that Greeneville has been a championship caliber team for many years but when national ranked Maryville is in your classification no one is going to win a state chamionship . We can say that we have never been scared to play the best no matter what their classification is or how many students they have!

Its not an excuse....Greeneville chose to play up and it made them a better overall program it is today. I was actually upset when we stayed in 4a classification because who has fun beating the fire snot out of teams? I'm pretty sure you Trousdale fans were crying the same thing when Signal Mountain was actually classified in 2A even when they had 600 and some students

Might want to do more research on Greeneville then because Greeneville never platooned up until 07'. Some of Greeneville's best teams only had 30-40 players on the roster and beat the likes of Morristown West, DB, and Schools that would make it to the quarter/semi finals year after year.
