  1. Should be a good scrimmage. A big and powerful Gallatin team Vs. a small and fast Smyrna team. Anyone know when it is?
  2. I actually watched the first 45 minutes of the Blackman scrimmage before flying down the road to Smyrna and yes Gallatin will be a good test. Very physical defense with a good line and linebackers. Offensively they didn't do much but, I believe their starting tailback only ran two series so we will see.
  3. Im not sure. They were on the practice field while varsity was on main and I haven't heard anything.
  4. I believe Smyrna scored every time they had the ball with the starters which was suprisingly quite a few series. QB looked very impressive. He only incompleted one pass I believe and completed several passes with two beautiful TD passes to T-rae. Hathaway and another guy (whom I dont know) ran with the O at WR in kind of a Percy Harvin type role and both looked extremely fast and had several good plays. Majors was on the sideline and did not play. All 4 running backs ran the ball very hard and also had several good plays. Really on offense there wasn't much of a weakness but the level of competition wasn't to great. Defensively Lebanon struggled to get a first down except for one series where Smyrna's 2s played Lebanon's 1s. All in all a fun scrimmage to watch and both teams played hard. I was very happy with the product I saw on the field for Smyrna. Very few mistakes or penalties and their timing looked much better than this time last year. Also Speed Speed Speed. Maybe even more than last year. It does appear however depth may be an issue as a lot of players played both ways but we will know more when they scrimmage a better opponent in Gallatin.
  5. Itavius Mathers, Jeremiah Bryson, and the Elder Boy from Ensworth.
  6. Yea I see where your coming from. Lets just hope for Blackman's sake that #4 does stay healthy and the QB doesn't have to try to do more than he is capable of. I do not know what kind of depth they have at QB as I have only seen a handful of games in the last two years or so and am looking forward to watching every game this year. Hopefully the backup will play some and we can see how the future is going to be.
  7. I saw him twice last year both against Smyrna and I thought he dramatically improved the second time. Actually he kind of kept them in the game through the air cause the ground game wasn't working. Maybe it was just a fluke game.
