Do you think the parents/fans will come to the realization of what they've actually done? You really can't expect them to realize they were wrong when their behavior was rewarded with their demands being met.

Meigs leads the series 26-19 all time, 38-26-4 if you include records against Etowah and Englewood. ~75% win percentage over the past 10, 20, and 30 years. Interestingly, McMinn Central leads the series 10-6 when it is a region game. Series started in 1966, the two teams have played each other every season since 1981.

I saw how the Meigs game played out. You ran WR screens because Meigs was playing loose coverage and rushing three with the lead. Probably a better idea to get the ball out in space quick and let an athlete be an athlete than lob it up into double coverage. 

Could it be that the only reason there was a QB controversy to begin with is because the community made it one? Slover completed nearly 70% of his passes for nearly 700 yards. I've seen both, Slover seems to be the better QB. Dacus doesn't beat Meigs, McMinn Central, or Stone Memorial from under center. Seems like Coach could've made the move any of those weeks and proved his point. Cant blame the QB entirely for the Central loss seeing as the entire town was up in arms after him and the coach. I find it odd that the "more to this story" so far seems to be so hush-hush. The optics are bad enough that it's time for administration to tell what it is, otherwise it looks like this is the second sports program your parents are content to run into the ground for no other reason than playing time and lineup cards.

Now I'd say 1 is polk, 2 meigs  not sure who is 3 now probably would be Sequoyah  if they still played central

3 is now Sweetwater whether you want it to be or not lol. Polk makes sense, especially with Davis coming over but it was a rivalry before he got there. That's not a terrible thing, either. All 4 schools are close together, similar in size. They all play each other in youth league and middle school in most (if not all) sports.

Any truth to the rumor that Sweetwater is currently looking for a head coach?

Big win for Meigs County against a quality opponent. Hopefully it’s a good momentum builder for an important 2 week stretch of region games.

That's what I was asking as well. I haven't seen any video on them. Moore county has a 48 minute highlight video out there of their game with Bledsoe though I've been told. I just couldn't find it.

Pretty sure you can watch their games on NFHS. At least one of them, anyways.

Signal mountain again a couple of years ago down 24 to 74th qtr came back won in overtime once again conditioning and play calling not issue.   Remember facts only here   The most bizarre statement is how coach Martin mismanaged the last drive of the game   What is that.  SHS started at their own 7 yard line and moved it to meigs 25 yard line in 1 min and some odd seconds with ONLY 1 timeout as stated above and got a kick at the end of game with chance to win it. What the h—- are you seeing.  You couldn’t ask for a better 2 min drive in high school football   Once again I was on sideline Friday night I saw and heard up and personal everything stated.   Also answer this if shs was so bad out of shape how were they able to take last drive of game and go straight down field ? Interesting——let me enlighten you a little MOMENTUM has a way of changing ballgames of any kind   Just bc you don’t score every time or don’t stop the opponent doesn’t mean your not in shape.  Meigs players were puking not shs players and as far as cramping some kids cramp regardless   I watch football college and pro and quite often see those kids cramp —you telling me they are not in shape? Coaches can’t control the crap kids eat and drink the entire week    Both teams were exhausted period.   The last thing I will say is the substitution penalty was when the FG team went out on field with clock running and NO timeouts. 3 ran off 3 ran off officials throw flag FACTS only I have HUDL it’s on film still don’t know what penalty was.    So basically your guru opinions don’t really address the FACTS.  If you can give me some facts on shs game management being issues in games like you stated has been going on for years please feel free and I will agree with you but remember facts only not just the way you the self proclaimed guru would have done something.   And by the way it’s really telling when you create a name like guru which obviously your not  .

Middle school team did a complete 180 from last year with a new coach. More kids, sound on both sides of the ball, very physical. Things look brighter up ahead of they can get it going. 

If Kingston is anywhere remotely close to being a physical football team then it's theirs to lose.

They are from Bledsoe. Played youth league there. Played middle school football in Rhea County. Moved to Meigs and played there in HS.

I don't think we would make much money off a private school from an hour and a half away. Losing the money from the Bledsoe game is a big loss. Luckily we'll still have more home games (scheduled, at least).
