  1. I would post scores but computer crashed that had spread sheet on it. Have not attempted to do it by hand.
  2. Congrats to WC. They were the best team on the field.
  3. You can catch in on the radio, www.thefarmradio.com
  4. Don't tell him that. He will think he actually knows something.
  5. Oneida 28-21 Friendship 28-21 Riverside 21-20 Dresden 28-13
  6. Round 3 SP 34-14 Gordonsville 28-7 Huntingdon 35-14 West Carroll 34-26
  7. Have ya'll noticed Huntingdon is the only public school that has been broadcasting games?
  8. You can watch the PC/WC here. http://www.ihigh.com/perryco/index.html
  9. Actually I was making a distinction between middle TN and Nashville, kinda like we do between west TN and Memphis. WC poster had earlier talked about the privates in Nashville being part of the reason WC had early exits from the playoffs so I eliminated those games for both teams. I listed our history with the privates in Nashville. Do you really want me to bring up WC's history with the privates in Nashville? I will assure you I will be back on after the game win or lose. If Huntingdon loses, there may be a few that make excuses but for the most part you will find Huntingdon fans don't make excuses. We will congratulate WC and wish them the best.
  10. Nice post, one of the more intelligent ones from a WC fan this week. I left Nashville out of the mix because quite honestly that is a whole different level of football than the rest of middle TN. However, against those teams we have gone 2-4 with a state championship. David Lipscomb 2-1, Goodpasture 0-3. The comparison over the last few years is definitely a valid argument. WC is in a better 4 yr run than is Huntingdon. Looking just at the playoffs over that same stretch WC is 4-3 and Huntingdon is 3-3. Almost identical records for the playoffs while having 12 more regular season wins. Kinda proves the point I was making earlier, WC is good during the regular season while playing mediocre teams but not so good when the competition gets tougher. I am not trying to take anything away from WC, just stating how I see it. If WC pulls off the win, then I will congratulate them and wish them well. This is the 2nd week in a row that the team we were facing has said they were the best Huntingdon has seen all year. All I asked for from fans is some basis as to why other than an opinion.
  11. Huntingdon fans were making that assessment before we played PC. It was called trash talking then. So if its true, what does that make it?
  12. Now see that goes back to the opinion thing and everyone knows what opinions are like, everyone has one. Your opinion is that WC could beat those teams. Huntingdon KNOWS they can beat those teams. Here are some facts for you: 1)WC through 2010 is 18-20 in the playoffs and the only west TN team they have beaten is Halls 2)Huntingdon through 2010 is 33-19 with a 13-1 record against teams in middle TN not including Nashville 3)Teams that WC have beat in the playoffs have a combined record of 108-163 in the playoffs 4)Teams that Huntingdon have beat in the playoffs have a combined record of 386-317 in the playoffs What does all that mean? As far as what happens on the field Friday night not much. It does mean that Huntingdon has been there and knows how to win big games. You can say what you want but that is worth a few points. Add to that playing at home, that will add a few more points. In my OPINION, 14-21 point advantage for Huntingdon.
  13. Some PC and WC fans just want to keep bringing that up. Yeah there were several Huntingdon posters that brought up how big a win that was. Huntingdon fans told PC over and over what was about to happen and it did. But since you brought it up, what has WC done? Give me examples of REALLY good teams ya'll have beat this season. Give me examples of consistently successful post season teams ya'll have beat. Convince me that you have had games and wins against teams that are of the caliber of Milan, Camden, or even Dresden. Don't just spout off your opinion give facts, stats, to back it up.
  14. Honestly, I don't put a lot of stock in your assessment of talent. However, it doesn't matter to Huntingdon if the 4 best players on the field Friday night are all from WC. All that is going to matter is who has the better team. I really believe that will be Huntingdon.
  15. Not taking a shot on WC about this but a lot of that has to do with tradition. Until the last few years, WC has been an average team, just a little above .500 now. Building a fan base takes time. Kids growing up going to the games will become adults going to the games. Huntingdon has built their fan base over time. Even during down years there are still good crowds, but like any sports team not as much as during a good year. Winning BIG games in the playoffs will help build that tradition. Just don't want this to be one of those years.
