  1. I am having a blast!!!! Thanks for the enjoyment BigBird.
  2. This is the point RedRobin, since you appear to be SOS... Stuck on Stupid....Read my lips. I will speak slowly. EHS is buying a football team. Out of your 41 man roster, half (or more) are on financial aid. i.e. paid to play. Also check your facts on CPA and Lipscomb. They have more kids attending their High School than Ensworth lower sends to EHS. Finally, in point of fact, MBA does not have baby sitting...a/k/a K-6. Since when is $22k tuition cheap....oh unless you recruit kids who can't make it out of HS...know any of those Big Bird?.
  3. Thanks nike7, but don't need your help on this one. I understand TSSAA rules. RedRobin missed the point. EHS can not field a football team unless they continue to recruit potential football players and award (pay) scholarships to enough players to field a team. Just look at their roster. The fact is they do not draw enough from the typical west Nashville private feeder schools to field a team. So who do you think is paying to have a football team? Chirp on up there RedRobin.

    BA @ MBA

Lot of tradition at MBA. Don't sell the Big Red short. The running back loss is a big blow, but they will show up ready to win. I like it MBA 28 BA 21.
  5. They win the right way??? get real man. You are out to lunch. EHS has more "scholarship" players than you can shake a stick at. They have to pay up big time just to fill a team. I love the comment that one EHS official has said..."they just show up on our doorstep." Come on....at least be honest. It is the best team HCA money can buy. And you might want to look up the word class...you won't see Ensworth next to it.
  6. Keys to the game Friday night will be mistakes, turnovers, the kicking game and pass protection. MBA did not have a major mistake against Kingsbury and caused turnovers. They need the same type of performance. The Pick 6 against BA sparked Trinity. Also BA's interceptions killed two drives. BA is better than what they showed. MBA's kicking game will be important in determining field position. They don't need to start deep in their own territory. Against Kingsbury, they started several of their drives around the 40. MBA's place kicker was effective Friday night, although they did not try a field goal. The kick off person had several kicks to the 10 yard line and appears capable of kicking the ball into the end zone. The punter was untested but has potential. Trinity is good in all kicking departments. Finally, the O line will need to give the QB time to find the open receiver. The QB looked comfortable in the pocket and on the roll out going 10 for 12, but will need time to do the job again. The local paper had the Big Red ranked 7th in Division II and not even ranked in the top 10 teams in the mid-state. That is the perfect place to pull an upset Friday night. MBA 28 Trinity 27.
  7. I am pretty sure the Big Red is treating this like the next game on the schedule. The game film from the BA game will help them prepare and the first win helped their confidence. It also solidified many positions including QB. You can bet they will be well prepared and will try an execute their game plan. I heard there were more fans in the stands last Friday night at BA from KY than TN so Trinity at home will be more than tough. Still it is hard to believe any HS team from Kentucky can be so highly ranked. I would be more worried if the team was from say Alabama, Texas, or Florida. Rest assured there is no quite in this Big Red team.
  8. MBA looked well conditioned and showed a good balance of run and pass. Passing game showed it can and will go deep. Running game was by committee. Probably 10 offensive players got to touch the ball. Starting defense was solid and would have pitched a shut out if it had stayed in. Able to get some 2nd and 3rd string players a taste. Depth will be key later on.
  9. Coach likely to decide on starting QB on Wednesday. He knows what he is doing.
