Who are some real homerun and power hitters to look out for?

I am a sofball player and I wear a face mask, due to this rule. Well unfortunately when I was sliding into home the cage broke the top of the helmet causing one of the bars to hit me in the mouth. This is unusual, I know, it cut me pretty bad not far from having to get stitches but also almost causing my teeth to break through my lip. Honestly, without the face mask this probably would not have happened. I can understand the safety they are trying to assure by the face masks, but I grew up playing softball without one and I have never had an injury before. I saw some posts about how people said that if girls knew how to take certain pitches, that is true but also if girls knew how to cover bases correctly, and other things, injuries could be prevented. I think that is why they do not have to wear the cages in college is because the girls actually know what they are doing.

I'm not really sure why the girl was cut and I know some of you have mentioned this... and it would be reasonable to say that maybe the girl had done something against team rules or had not attended mandatory things and I honestly think it is not very fair to just assume that the coach has made a poor decision. Not everyone knows the entire details within the situation or the relationship between the player and the coach. It is part of life to deal with losses and misfortunes and making it this big of a deal shows a lot about the parents or whoever brought the situation into play. I am not pointing fingers but I also think we should cut the coach some slack and put yourself in his/her shoes.

maryville win state? that is a prediction that im pretty sure is not going to happen. this years season is pretty much up in the air. there are no shoe ins and a lot of teams in knoxville may surprise some people.

South Doyle is very young. The starting pitcher for SD was freshman Heather Bruce. And 2nd pitcher was Amanda Beard,Soph.

TNT, sorry but this is my first screen name. But who is it you think I am? I had never even posted before but I thought I would bud in on the topic. I agree with her getting credit on the field. I'm not trying to put her down in any way if I came across that way. Not trying to start anything, just thought I would give my opinion.

I just think sometimes whenever she gets frustrated (what pitcher doesnt?)she tends to lose it a little which I'm sure that man someone was talking about yelling in the stands doesnt help either. But shes an amazing player. It just seems whenever she gets a little wild things dont get any better....wild meaning throwing a few balls or just walking people. Nothing against her at all I think shes awesome and people need to give her some credit!

There are some strong teams out of the knoxville area this season.....Seymour has been underestimated..Munday(sry if wrong) is a great pitcher and with the addition of the catcher from Gibbs, they are going to be a tough team. I think Bearden will be tough again this year, Sally is an amazing pitcher and shes got great speed on the bases. I think Central is a little overrated...yeah Irwin is great but I dont think she could carry her whole team again. They just arent very strong. Ask a lot of girls who have faced her.... shes not impossible to hit.Shes just not all everyone puts her up to be. Someone I think should get a little more credit is Hollifield from Alcoa, havent heard much about her this year though, but shes incredible and with her change up shes going to dominate if she can keep it together. Farragut will be tough, of course, but they are going to struggle a little offensively. But I think they are one of the best defensive teams around.
