  1. Although MBA has handled the investigation 'with class', they have done it submissively and not thorough to the degree of reconciliation from TSSAA. MBA is just the tip. This is a domino effect. In the end, there will be one common link. RICKY BOWER. Lube up, fellas. There's no denying your way outta this one.
  2. Well I'm prImarily interested to compare public and private funding and aid for students. So your guys answers are great. Sorry for the type-o's. I'm using a device that has some overbearing autocorrect features
  3. Correct . Thanks for stating what we already knew. I used that school AA an example about recent programs that have entered D2 AA
  4. Howdy, Couple of questions about D2 football. All are encourages to chime in. Where do football programs receive their funding? How much is raIsed by boosters, funded by the school, or raised by the students? What percentage of financial aid is given to athletes/ musicians/ students? Is there any source to find out what students are receiving the scholarships? Are there any new schools entering D2 AA in the near future? (like JP2) Any new regulationa for next year?
  5. I don't think this part you wrote about schools having better academic programs is accurate at all. You probably assumed that FRHS's academic program is worse than these other schools, but you certainly have no evidence to back it up. If you do have evidence to assert this, please post it now. Otherwise, you shouldn't be making assumptions like this, it's as classless as MBA's administration debachle this past year, the fact that number BA alum were arrested at Auburn and Knoxville on rape charges, and Ensworth being too recent of a school to establish any long-term tenure student success. For examples to support what I just said, please refer to the past 2 pages of threads on D2's coacht's forums. According to Father Ryan's website, 100% students graduate, and 99% go on to post-secondary education - http://www.fatherryan.org/page.cfm?p=235 (source <-----) But please, continue to make these ridiculous assertions about academics and athletics. Oh, and remember, football is not the only sport played in D2, and unless your team is Ensworth, then no Middle School TN football program has done anything note-worthy. The 'elite mentality' that some D2 alum express on this site is ridiculous. There's no rhyme or reason that you guys should compare yourself or proclaim yourself better than any other school. That's classless, 100% of the time people say things with no evidence (perhaps to boost their own ego), and you dawn an ugly impression on the D2 schools that strive hard for academics. So do yourself a favor and don't make these assertions on a public forum
  6. I'm sure if recruiting wasn't such an issue, then the hole debacle that made MBA look so pathetic during this year would never had occurred. Sure, you can blame politics on what happened, but in the end, the school essentially found recruitment violations within its football program, and unfortunately MBA's ex-coach was the one who caught all the blame for it. However, the method is all the; it was recruitment that became karma. But recruitment is hardly something to be worth noting in D2 Tennessee football. The top D2 schools can not compete with the elite schools outside the state, and more D2 schools have begun recruiting as well. Look at FRHS and some of the Memphis schools.
  7. That's what we call... recruiting.
  8. MBA's season ends with this game.
  9. My favorite part, as someone already pointed out, is how is screen nam eis oPowell, but he doesnt fail to mention how good Owen Powell is! Plus 96 at the end. 1996. . . . Seems so young. Also freshman football is never a good indicator of the future varsity skill
  10. Good luck to D2-AA's worst two teams this year. Both teams should be playing football in D2-A, despite their huge successes in other sports in D2 outside of football. Also, FRHS wins (barely)
  11. Can anyone explain how MBA can 'find their rhythm' after losing four games in a row (embarrassingly) and then getting one win against Pearl Cohn? I would love to hear the logic on this. If you ask me, the only rhythm MBA has found this season is how to lose.
  12. If MBA doesn't win, you can chalk this season as disastrous for this school's football program... If Father Ryan loses (who has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game!!!!) they should drop of D2-AA entirely, as the only D2 team they will beat is JP2. I can't make a prediction.. Thoughts?
  13. Good luck to both struggling teams.
  14. BGA is good, but will not win state. That probably belongs to Baylor this year. Great team though! I'll be pulling for BGA til the end of the season!

    MBA vs. BGA

5 years ago, these teams were in opposite positions (as to W-L marks on their scheduele) Does MBA go 1-4? Yes Your thoughts?
  16. How is MBA better than Baylor? How is Baylor better than MBA?
  17. Will MBA go 1-3? Yes Your thoughts?

    BA @ MBA

MBA's future scheduele doesn't look easy either; they still have Ensworth, BGA, and Baylor (which is next week) to play. I'm guessing the injuries suffered during Trinity are the biggest factors; three starters out is not fun at all! But, every D2 team gets into the playoffs, right?

    BA @ MBA

A lot of MBA fans were predicting that their team would win. Not many BA believers. Any of the MBA fans who were there know what happened to MBA during this game?

    BA @ MBA

    What happened in this game?
  21. Keep us updated maam! Appreciate what ya do
  22. Ain't that for sure. I'm from the Memphis area, and I'll speak on behalf of its private schools It's common knowledge D2 schools around here use recruitment efforts to enhance their programs. So most of us are fine and accept the 'elephant in the room' that is Middle Tennessee high school recruiting programs. However, you wouldn't believe how much our opinion has changed about MBA's program since their whole head coach/headmaster 'situations' that have occurred in the past year. Didn't know a program could show such little class. Although it's wrong to stereotype a team and program, it seems that further investigation has shown a history of recruiting and deals under the table by various administrative positions. Shame

Also, to stick to the topic of the post, I believe the main conversations of a thread (as outlined by the Coacht forum rules) is to post about the topic when replying in threads, and stirring away from quoting and commenting on people's predicted posts (according to the coacht forum rules) Please correct me if I'm wrong.
