Having seen both teams play, and the way Grundy C has played against the pass, ND's QB/WR combo in Moore/Riley should be hot all night. But Grundy will be able to run the ball so it could possibly be a high scoring game. Either way seems to be a good game!

Don't see how ND could be in trouble.. private school vs. public
-
You're just mad because you don't have the recruiting connections in Georgia like you do in Alabama. Now go scratch that skillet for some cornbread crumbs Old Man.
Never have been or will be a SP fan myself. But by this you are saying you do actually have recruiting connections in Georgia? Interesting

Can we stop the mindless bashing and actually discuss the issue at hand, the boy's ineligibility? By the end of this ordeal I wouldn't put it past you to have deemed half the schools in Tennessee as the one who turned Signal in.
-
Very true, but hey, now Polk can't have any excuses why they lost to the eagles
-
Well any way you look at it, it could have been anyone.. among us.. angry citizens of Chattanooga, that could have.. set the oven to a boil.
But way I look at it, they won't find nuffin wrong with the darned boy. They'll suspend him this week but let him off to play the rest of the season.

Last year it was the athletic director that called. The same one that signed the paperwork with the wrong dates.
Not sure how it will work since ND and SM are the only 4A schools in the district.
Right, for a much different situation where a girl transferred from ND to Signal which caused the issue. This situation, however, doesn't really even affect ND.
-
Both of them are 3A and ND is 4A.
Still, how do they get in?
-
It's is a bit different but not much and would show a pattern. Did you miss the fact that ND filled out her paperwork and gave the wrong date on it. Then they waited until the week we were going to play them and called the TSSAA. They didn't wait until after the game to call they called before the game. Clearly they knew before but they waited and used it to gain an advantage. Then they blamed the girl and her family. The TSSAA finally saw through it but it was a distraction.
I understand we would dominate ND without Tim as we would have won all the other games too. But ND would benefit greatly if this were true. This would actually get them into the playoffs.
I see where you are going with this, but still I find it unlikely ND, or any school at that, would have complained. This most likely is a disgruntled parent or booster.
And to the bolded, I highly doubt they would still even get a shot for the playoffs without winning a single division game.

Well if it was ND it would be par for the course. Last year the week our girls played them in soccer they turned us in for an intelligible player. Funny thing is the player transferred from ND to SM. ND did the paperwork and filled out the athletes last participation date. SM turned all of this in and the TSSAA determined when she became eligible based off the information given by ND. Well the week of the game they called and told the TSSAA we were playing her and she shouldn't be eligible because she played for them the year before and ND gave them a different last participation date. The girl had to sit and the TSSAA finally determined it wasn't SM's fault or the girls and she was allowed to return to the team. But she had to sit out a few games and it was a distraction.
Guess next year our principle will let our kids have a Notre Lame day.
Bit different situation though from what it looks like. If ND was playing Signal and they knew the girl had played the year before for them it's kind of obvious, whereas this really doesn't concern ND. With or without McClendon Signal dominates ND, or to be honest the rest of the teams they play.

Wouldn't jump to conclusions about Notre Dame. Seems to me that this must have been an issue within TSSAA since the beginning of the year. Don't know why this is being adressed as late as game 7 though. Isn't the first time the TSSAA has made questionable decisions..

I shouldn't have blasted the Troll, you are right. But yet, the poop's finally starting to stink up there on that mountain it seems.
-
Waiting for an official response from the Troll. I'm sure him and the other boosters can clear this up with the officials.

I'm going with TSSAA on this one, they have had about 2 months since the last time they have had to deal with Signal so hopefully they can fix the problems on defense against Signal's powerful offense. I also think Signal won't be as good without their ineligible players on the field therefore giving TSSAA the easier win. Could turn into a shoot-out. You think I'm joking, but I am.
TSSAA 42
Signal 21

Now that's some funny stuff Troll
Guess the nickname "Signal Sinners" is applicable

ER limits Red Bank's O to minimal yardage, but can't produce any O for themself. RB-14 ER-7

Central by 3 TD's, I truly believe coach Allen is the answer to Central football

You have to admit that ND look pretty bad on defense,What seen was alot of missed tackles.Central ran it down their throat all night long.I don't think central will face a weaker defense than that the rest of the year. What I could not understand is why did these great coaches that we have, call a pass play down on the goal line when we were driving the ball on the ground?Central was running all over them and then we throw a pick in the endzone,Go with what was working at that time.HUGE mistake on their part!
I disagree. The D came out shaky the first half and was allowing a lot of rushing yards, but the second half they stepped the D up it seemed, you had (one?) touchdown the second half on basically a fluke pass play?? They stuffed it up the 2nd half and pulled away. Gotta give the D cred for coming out the locker room at half fired up.

'dogs will fight harder in their own back-yard".........Go Warriors!
You always go for the underdogs?

The Chargers played pretty good on defense last week against McMinn County. Norte Dame scored 61 on a team that had 5 turnovers and scored 48. Grace actually had more yards of offense. The Irish do have some playmakers. Do not have the speed that McMinn has. Just do not see ND putting up more than McMinn. The Irish defense gave up 629 yards in total offense to a Single A team that runs the ball.
Beg to differ. I was at the Grace game, they have speed. Loads of it. It's size on the defense they lack (LB's, Line)
-
From what I saw at the Grace ND game, Notre Dame has some monsters on the O-line. While they do have a few smallish sized boys on the line, they had 2 or 3 pretty big sized boys who blocked great (no sacks, very few TFL)
It was also a first game, so defense is always a bit shaky. Will be an interesting game at the beginning, but I'm going ND 42, MC 17
4A Playoffs Right Now

Regardless, it's a completely different issue than a hardship issue/NCLB issue.
