my ole pappy played on that team OP he says u mus be mistaken said the only reason they played bad that year cause most of them blockers worked like a barried mine mule and he rekuns they was too tard to play football, but they worked rale hard and got better and pow 1969!!

saw in lancers earlier post putting the 87 team listed with disappointment teams, was i not there or did i miss something that team was not that bad or disappointing as i remember we went to semis and got our heads kicked off by Gordysville in a friggin cold ruff ballgame, but not that bad of a season.. hard to replace sisco, squench, gooch, lehr and the rest 87 was a rebuilding year and we fared pretty well that year!!!

Let me start by saying youll prob poke fun at me for this one ole buddy but there are at least 5 kids strung from 7th to 9th grade who i have watched play soccer for years and have some BIG time kicking abilities!! i think the coaching staff should approach these youngsters and start working with them now! the future looks bright i think the Pirates have at least 5 stud hosses who will be freshmen next year i have watched them for several years and feel they will contribute soon to our squad..

Congratulations to the wildcats you guys made a believer of me alot better than expected! with that said for all the returning Pirate players i hope with every sprint, every drill and every weight you lift in the off-season remember todays game and endeavor to return to the campionship in 2012 and bring home the gold, not for us oldtimers yacking on T about our glorydays but for yourselves. I am proud of The Mighty Pirates and the heart they displayed this year, as well as Vic and coaching staff the Pirates are truly lucky to have committed and outstanding coaching staff. Again congratulations to Wayne county good team class act...... PIRATES!!!!!!!
