  1. Not sure why the fight started, but just one more reason to terminate the Soddy coaching staff. What a joke !
  2. I have to agree with you on several things SDFOOTBALL . Playing the starting QB most of the game on defense is absurb. The kid needs a break between series to focus on offense. If you have to put a less talented player in his place then do it. He needs to be mentally and physically sharp for QB. The kids played hard on both sides of the ball, but this coaching staff does not put them in a position to succeed. Soddy was in the red zone at least two times last night without a single point scored. A good OC has got to come away with points in these situations. Bradley may have been a better team, but not 35 points better and that is strickly a result of coaching.
  3. Good win for Soddy. The sweetest victories are the ones that people don't think you are suppose to win.
  4. Thatguy, Honestly, I don't have a clue who byGod is.
  5. Thatguy, you say outmatched, Baylor- yes, Cleveland- no! What have they done this year with these players that outmatch the SD boys? Oh yea, are you talking about their great record. What an idiot. You ever feel alone in a crowd ? Look around, your the only idiot taking up for the sub par coaching on the field.
  6. You bring up a great question soddyman. I truly believe that kids at different schools react to coaching differently. It is no secret the Soddy players bought into Slaughters philosophy 100%. Apparently, this is not the case for him at Cleveland. Good school, good kids, so what is the difference ? As for Soddy last night, they again looked unprepared and I agree with you. That is coaching or lack thereof.
  7. Will not even be close, the Bears will dominate both sides of the ball.
  8. He is a very good High School QB and very well may smoke Soddy's defense, but I do not believe he has earned the all universe accolades that he has been given. I hope the kid goes to college and has a great career, but sorry, I just don't see it.
  9. I agree Falcon.I am surprised Thatguy has not responded with a barrage of defensive brilliance. Hopefully the team can take the win and some confidence to next weeks game.
  10. Least amount of mistakes wins this game. Red Bank is not as good as in years past.
  11. Careful, you are going to make people mad at you.
  12. I tried, but they didn't want to run the wishbone and 7-diamond. Thatguy, looks like we will have to agree to disagree. Hopefully the boys can get their first win tonight.
  13. Sorry, wrong again on the DB quote. Butt is spelled with two t's and all proper nouns are capitalized. Thatguy, did I ever mention Slaughter's spread being mind blowing or even good. Didn't think so. Oh, by the way, Slaughter is running the power-I now you plethora of knowledge you. He made an adaption to fit his personnel, now that's a great idea. You really hurt my feelings talking about my two hand touch. I feel like such a stud when I act like Peyton Manning during warm-ups and practice. Thatguy, in the end, the game knows and weeds out poor coaching. So let's see what happens, shall we.
  14. Wow, you really thinks that's the same defense Braswell put in last year. Afraid not. If you don't believe me, ask some of the players from last year and this year. "The longer the season went last year, the more we moved away from Braswell's defense". Thats a quote from one of last years starting DB's. I guess you also think Roberts is running Slaughters spread.
  15. Now with that cleared up (I think). Why has SD been outscored 49 to 149 in three games ?
  16. Any status on how this kid is doing ?
  17. I agree Cajun, gotta get the ball in his hands as much as possible.
  18. I hear you hoot. Just saying, based on our current schemes, Soddy will be lucky to win 3 or 4 games.
  19. If Soddy does happen to win 3 games, that is still not an acceptable record. When the fans start accepting a 3 and 7 record. The program needs help.
  20. Trojan nation, are we doomed to the 1 and 9 seasons again ? Soddy has a bunch of good kids out there playing hard, but obviously unprepared and it is not their fault. Our leader was the OC during the Pre-Slaughter days. We remember those sad seasons. We now have Uncle Rico at OC. Yes, we know if they would have put you in the 4th quarter your senior year you would have won state. And yes you do look like Peyton Manning during practice and warm-ups. We can't score or stop anybody and then the coaches want to blame the kids. It is painstaking to watch and the kids deserve better.
