  1. Excuse me for not knowing this, but was Potter the basketball coach also. The title of the thread would imply that he is/was.
  2. Ensworth has an incredible back in Elder. He can be a game changer in less than 10 seconds. That being said, the Red Raiders managed to shut down Elder in the first meeting. This game will be a war in the trenches between two of the best crews of lineman in DII AA. After getting waxed in the first meeting, I think that the Tigers won't let that happen again. Tigers defend the gold ball. Ensworth 27 Baylor 17
  3. BGA held off the Blue Tornado earlier this season 33-21 with a second half charge by McCallie. I believe that McCallie is that team that could make a run in the playoffs this year. They may be behind 20+ points at the half but they are a resilient team. They have made second half comebacks against both BGA and Baylor. Prediction: BGA 30-24 in a hard fought game
  4. Baylor School in Chattanooga is the Red Raiders Baylor University in Waco, Texas is the Bears
  5. While I do think MUS can beat McCallie or BGA I have no doubt that Ensworth will beat the boys from Memphis. 6 TOs or not. Ensworth vs. Baylor repeat with Ensworth taking home the gold ball again. Baylor waxed Ensworth earlier this season, but have I doubt the Ensworth coaching staff and the players will let that happen again
  6. According to unapproved website, BGA is #8 in the state and MUS is #10, both at 7-3. If BGA gets past McCallie, this could be a very good game. That being said, BGA needs to beat McCallie first. McCallie is one of those teams that can be very dangerous the second time around. Good Luck to everybody
  7. This game is key for both teams Baylor Win: Baylor #1 Seed BGA #4 seed BGA Win: Baylor #4 seed BGA #3 seed
  8. This is the last game of the regular season. Baylor has won the last 3 meetings. BGA tends to have bad games when they play good teams. Recent Meetings 2010-Semi-Finals- Baylor 33-14 2010-Regular Season-Baylor 33-21 2009-Baylor 34-14 2008-BGA 24-21 2007-BGA 22-21 Prediction: 2011- Baylor 38-24
  9. It will be Senior Night for the Wildcats and it may be a pink out for Breast Cancer BGA- 38 Ryan-13
  10. It is absolutely absurd to say that BGA tried to sabotage their own field to get an edge on BA. If you remember correctly BGA also had to play on the same field. If BGA tried to get an edge it obviously didn't help. FYI BGA's regular grounds keeper has recently had an extended stay in the hospital so...
  11. It seems that when the Wildcats play the top teams in DII (Ensworth, BA, and probably Baylor), they start flat on offense and defense. They play like they are intimidated from the first snap. BA's defense was impressive. Even without Woody Barron, they still had Amos Mason and Derek Barnett in the back field all night. Even with BGA being the most undermanned team in the division, they still tried to fight back. They still made it a respectable game by scoring 28 points even if it was against the second string. Bye week couldn't have come at a better time for the Wildcats to fix key points in the way that they play the game on both sides of the ball. Hopefully the Wildcats can bounce back against Father Ryan in 2 weeks.
  12. Im just saying that we may never know how Smyrna would stand up to Ensworth, BA, or Baylor BGA beat them in OT with almost 3 months of prep time. Im not sure the result would have been the same if they had 1 week to prepare for the bulldogs
  13. While Smyrna was a good team, they would be middle of the pack in DII AA. Smyrna was good but not even close to what BA is capable of and has proven. BA 42 BGA 27
  14. Ensworth is having another great year and with MBA's extremely down year I predict Ensworth by at least 35....Elder will probably have one of his best games against MBA's struggling defense
  15. How good is McCallie this year? How do they plan to stop CJ Bethard and Jordan Smith?
  16. BGA comes off a tough loss to a very good Ensworth team, while McCallie also comes off a loss to cross town rival Baylor. Will BGA bounce back for Homecoming? How good is McCallie?
  17. BGA came out flat from the starting kickoff and was never able to recover. Ensworth definately showed that they are a championship caliber team. Corn Elder is an incredible athlete. Not only could he run away from the BGA defenders, when they did get a hand on him and wrap him up, he would drag the defender for YAC. Good luck to Ensworth in the coming weeks.
  18. The game was last week BGA 35 MBA 17 it really wasnt as close as the score says MBA scored their last TD against BGA's JV and Freshman defense
  19. Corn will definately be the best back that the Wildcats have seen this year, but I wouldn't count Roc Batten's defense out of it. CJ Bethard may also be the best QB that the tigers have seen or will see all year. If the tigers can contain Bethard and the Wildcats can contain Elder, it will be a great defensive game, but I don't see this happening. I see Corn Elder running circles around the Wildcat defense, and Bethard throwing as well as this last week (17-18 for 261 yards). Wildcats in OT 41-38 with a winning kick from the strong leg of senior kicker Connor Mitchell.
  20. I'm sure Roc Batten will pull out all the stops to try and contain Corn Elder and the high powered Ensworth run game. Im also sure that CJ Bethard can counter especially coming off a very emotional game against former coach Marty Euverard and the MBA Big Red. Bethard completing 17 of 18 for 261 yards and 4 TD's to fellow seinor WR Jordan Smith. If BGA can contain Corn Elder like Baylor did, i'm not sure that Ensworth's QB Bowers can shoulder all of the offensive playmaking. Should be a great game to watch. Go Wildcats!
  21. Wildcats Head Coach Roc Batten returns to Ensworth to lead the Wildcats with gunslinger CJ Bethard vs the high powered running game of Corn Elder
  22. why have there been so many teams from the mid-state playing all of these schools from Ky. I can remember when BA played Olive Branch on ESPNU, but why are so many teams doing this when it really doesn't matter for your record?
  23. Well im glad you feel better about yourself now that you try to #### on an honest question asked by a high school football fan. Or are you that guy that is always trying to remember his glory days when he was on a football team but never stepped foot on the field? huh? am i right?
  24. Chris Chauvin was the RB and DB coach at BGA and even called the offense for their JV last year. Why is he the D coordinator?
