sorry let me correct myself. Their players earned it for them. Most of those guys had kids or still do who played for alcoa. When you come from a community as strong into football as alcoa they're all family out there. So Yeh they earned it. To have a program like Alcoas it takes a whole community.

I love a good form tackle. These days in the college level and pros. Players seem to be looking for the big hit and completely forget the fundamentals. 80 percent of the time the runner just bounces off of them or they wiff completely. I'll take a soft form tackle over a would be big hit miss any day!

HC just had a good team that year. Not because they were playing 4A teams. Lewis and Fairview owned them in the years leading up to that season.they are still better now as 3A team than they were as 4A before that year.

I'd pick page as a heavy favorite over spring hill. That being said. Page by a lot over summit.

coming from someone who has no ties to alcoa nor have I ever even stepped foot in their stadium. But you sir are ignorant. As dominant as Maryville is in 6th who outside of their district would want to play them? Alcoa does every year. And most of those year it's a fairly close game.With alcoa winning against them one year and Maryville going on to win the state championship along with alcoa winning state too. What other 3A school can say they have beat a team even close to the caliber of maryville? Yes every single team in 3A is lesser competition. And every team in 4A is as well except maybe Fulton.. The reason I think they don't talk as much smack when it comes to Maryville is probably due to the fact that they actually respect maryville as team. No one else has ever been deserving of their respect except for CAK. So all this nonsense your throwing out is irrelevant and Alcoa fans have every right to brag about their teams and have every right to say with all the confidence in the world that they are gonna beat which ever team they play because 99.90 percent of the time it's true!. Maryville and Alcoa equal 2 of the highest quality football programs in tennessee. Until your team beats Alcoa you have no room to run your mouth. The goons have earned that right.

as far as i know i believe every one made it our fairly well. had the occasional bumps and bruies.. I just hope we can get our starting center back for camden.. so everyone can go back to their usual offensive line positions..

hey don't matter how hard he hits you if he keeps you from getting more yards. Job done lol. And he did that Friday night as a strong safety he stepped up and read the run and made about 80 percent of his tackles at the line of scrimmage. I'd like to see him play receiver. He's that tallest kid on defense. He would be a killer threat at wide receiver if they would play him both ways.

I'm just glad we play page in fairview. Doesn't matter whose better. You can be 50x better than page and if u play them at home you will probably lose or win by 3 points. I remember 2 years ago playing at page we had about 5 tds called back. 3 on the same offensive series. And the ref throwing the flags was 30 yards away. Weighed about 400 pounds. Don't mean to sound so sore. But that was the worst I've ever seen on calls against fairview.

call me biased but Fairview has the best offensive and defensive player in the district. Zimmerman didn't get chosen for pre season all state even though he won as a sophomore. But yuriy bulay on defense is a tackling beast!. He got picked preseason all state and definitely lived up to the hype on Friday with about 15+ tackles

Ok. Let's get this one started. What's everyone's thoughts? Fairview will have to play a full 4 quarters in this game. If we turn the ball over and play like we did in the 4th quarter against Cheatham It may be a long night for the Jackets

and of course Camden is always a Power running team but front what I saw tonight they like to go to the flat and out routs. We gotta watch out for those. As for defending the run. I think we will be ok. Hard to tell. I don't know much about south Gibson except for them going 10-0 that one year then getting beat by east Hickman in the first round.
