  1. Before you get too excited there sparky, I believe the T$$AA lawyer asked about DJ. And I believe the point was that he had that kind of relatonship with other students other than McClendon. I believe SM has been to SP before so they know what to expect....and how to win there!
  2. You must participate 3 or more days to have to sit 12 months. 1 practice + 1 game equals 2 practices. That has been admitted and proven by LFO's records. You are not keeping up! That is what the T$$AA is saying now! A lot of folks have assumed that as long as your County system approves then you are allowed to play given that there is no participation conflict. We in Hamilton county deal with this every year. Marion County does not. Quit acting like an expert when you don't have a rock solid clue. There are a lot of coaches worrying right now in Hamilton County I assure you.
  3. That is an assumption. McClendon did not have an athletic record. He did not participate at LFO enough days in the Spring to deem him ineligible on those grounds. So T$$AA had to "come up" with something else. OK. I will give you the freshman scenario but what about this? Lets say a kid played as a freshman at Whitwell and transferred to Signal Mtn. under a hardship as a sophomore and sat out. Then played football as a Junior all the while living in Whitwell. Is he ineligible by what the T$$AA is saying about hardships being solely for academic purposes?
  4. So you can live in Whitwell and start school at Boyd as a freshman and you are ok for the remainder of your athletic career? But if you live in Whitwell and want to go to Signal Mtn. you can't. Unless you get a hardship from HCDE. And the T$$AA now says you are not eligible in this case to play sports, its merely viewed as academic only. clear as mud!
  5. Hmmm...Isn't McClendon a hardship transfer and not NCLB? If LV didn't have hardship transfers they wouldn't have a team.
  6. How do private schools such as Boyd, Friendship Christian, etc. fall under the "territory" or "zones" according to T$$AA? I feel that this would be a wonderful debate. Do they have their own rules about transfers? Why is this not scrutinized and looked at more closely?
  7. What would you like to wager? .....I didn't say they were good. I just said they were zoned for Howard......I hear Lookout Valley should be pretty good in Basketball this upcoming season.
  8. Read the thread dumbice...innocent programs referring to other programs not involved. Its an expression. and I am far from naive about what goes on at signal or young.
  9. You have no clue about Signal Mtn. Keep reading the paper and CoachT to get your info. You do win with hard work and toughness. I am sure you have several rings so you must know how to win a state championship. Enlighten us o' great one.
  10. This is not the thread to stir the pot lancer. There is no form that pairs Brainerd and Ooltewah. Just like there is no form that pairs Howard kids with Lookout Valley. How many LV boys are from Howard zone? How many baseball players came from Georgia the past few years? How many kids came from Ooltewah by getting their parents to sign over custody(How did the LV baseball and football teams do that year)? My point is that hardship transfers happen all over the place. Lets hope the T$$AA can resolve this so the microscope isn't put on any other innocent programs. Leave this thread alone lancer.
  11. The parents decide. They fill out a hardship request. It is open to all Howard students. I love the idea about getting rid of T$$AA. They are money hungry and only step in when they have a vendetta. The private schools play by there own rules. When they can't recruit the right kids to beat you they whine about having a smaller enrollment and having to play bigger schools.
  12. Well Notre Dame(The school who contacted TSSAA) is a private school. They don't play by the same rules so they don't have a complete understanding of the NCLB or transfer rules. Along with most of the posters on CoachT. They are sore losers and if they can't beat you on the field they are going to whine and cry about it somewhere else. In this case, SM would have to be oblivious to not make sure a kid like the one in question is legit. Keep Hatin!!! Heresay and rumors are nothing but an excuse so you can accept why you got beat. Keep Hatin and SM will keep winnin!! Haters Hate!
