  1. The PC player is at Huntingdon ER "moving and talking seems to be in no severe pain waiting on parents to arrive". Per PC Coach with him. And yes PC and HHS have close to the same enrollment for what ever that matters they average 325-350
  2. I don't normally comment much on here other than getting on and wishing both teams a good and safe game. I played in and have been attending PC football games since the very first game when we brought football back. I would like to say how disappointed in some of our fans I was last night. Over all we have great fans but to a few of the men standing on the side lines last night you should be ashamed to show your faces at another game! It is one thing to stand on the sideline and call out a coach that's fine they are grown men who know what they signed up for and get paid a 1500$ a year coaching supplement to put up with your rude and vulgar comments. BUT to stand and call out teenage players and run them down in such a public and degrading manner as you 3 or 4 did last night you should be asked to never attend a game again. And to the one of you that when the coach asked you to keep a civil tongue and and not yell at the players you have the gaul to run to the principle of the school and tell him he cussed at you?? I realize things get heated and we often forget we are watching a game played by young men. I only write this to say I think 3 or 4 of our fans owe our young players a public or private apology.
  3. The Vikings have had a pretty good camp this week. Have a three team scrimmage tonight, with what I think is the best team in the state Union City and I believe the other team is Mt Pleasant.
  4. Congratulations to Coach Sawyer on being promoted from interim coach to head coach of the Vikings!
  5. As of last week unless a mass quitting occurred over the weekend they had about 40 kids minus the boys playing b-ball in the weight room. As for the coaching interviews and applications, the School was required to open the position for hire. Technically Coach Sawyer was an interm Coach, as Harrison resigned after the contract School year had already begun. As far as who will get the job it's down to the interview process now.
  6. Is that the best you can come up with is to drag PC into your crying??? You know I've had family play and even coach for Lewis County for years even since before I was born, people like you are the reason there are so many people on here week in and week out downing LC. Congrats to LC on an outstanding season though and wish you luck in the next!
  7. It has been a rough year for us can't deny, I can't speak to the future if it is going to get any better soon our middle school is down the school system is putting zero money into that program and unwilling to hire a coaching staff. I think it's really all due to PC enrollment has been dropping off year after year. As for tonight I haven't commented because I don't know much on the Warriors been a long while since we played them. If we come out playing football (not sure you could call that football) like we did last week it will be a long night. This is a funny team this year when Bates is in and not serving ejection time we play with heart and will. I understand he has been ejected form 3 games this year, which there is no excuse for that. So hope we have a good game on senior night I don't think he have but 2 or 3 this year again. But good luck Vikings and Warriors play safe and smart!
  8. I don't get it either our crowd is always blahh on the excitement factor tbh win or lose, oddly enough not just in football seems like it is the same with basketball as well the past few years. The thing that stands out the most to me we have nooo student section to speak of what so ever. It is a little frustrating because we actually have good sized crowds at the games. We always pull a good gate and concession numbers. Also I'm the first to admit I am heavily biased on the side of the new coaching staff, I have a lot of respect for Coach Sawyer and I think given year or two and he and his staff will have some great teams. I know it's and excuse but we are a young team still we graduated 2 or 3 seniors last year and only have 2 or 3 this year. The score didn't reflect it but we had some pretty good Offensive numbers last night we had Forester with 179 yards rushing and Pepin had close to 150+ I'll take that any night.
  9. Just have to say HC played a great ballgame! PC put forth one of the worst performances I have seen in a while. We couldn't seem to even perform the fundamentals, and played with no heart or confidence at all! Our Jekyll and Hyde ways this year are somewhat frustrating, one week we play lights-out with heart, will and determination but the next we might as well be in a ribbon twirling contest.
  10. Yes and No, one of the kids on the team that year, he played in the first game of the year lived in Linden but his parents owned both a home in Linden and Camden. According to tssaa they still had the Camden residence listed as their primary residence even though they lived full time in Linden. Rules are rules though,so the first game of the year was forfeited. Did always find it funny that the first game was against LC in which we had no problem with, and they conveniently have two tssaa board members. But never matter everyone's opinion on here is Tucker is the only player we had those few years that was any good, don't know how some define good but Hill, Dill and Mercer all had multiple All-State awards in Football, Basketball and Baseball if I'm not mistaken plus where outstanding students. On to the present, PC will have it's work cut out for them tonight HC will be a rough night on our Offense. Our O-line did look really good last week. And Vest I think played the best game he has had all year on Defense. It is homecoming and I don't know about other teams but we always seem to play worse on homecoming than any other game of the year. Wish all the players a safe and fun game and all the folks form HC a safe trip!
  11. That was one hard fought win last night I have to say PC showed more heart than I have seen in a long time. Cameron #23 fought for every yard and C-Wood almost had one of his eyes swelled shut by the end of the night from poking at him after the play(not complaining that's football) but he kept going. Our O-line opened up holes I could run through and those that know me know that is something! I also have to say that C-Woods QB is got to be one heck of a kid as well! I pray his shoulder is ok and wish him the quickest recovery.
  12. Looking like it's gonna be a rough stormy night tonight. Hope we can get the game in. PC's had a great week this week in practice and will be ready. If PC can limit the p-foul laundry yards I think it will be a lot closer than a blowout. So far this season talent and ability hasn't been the problem, beating ourselves with poor mental decisions after the play have. Wish all the players and fans a safe night.
  13. Hit the nail on the head one of the things that worries me the most this year, PC has had a hard time playing with a cool head. Though it has been exciting and very frustrating so far, it really cost us having two starters ejected then out for a district game. Hoping that situation doesn't happen this week. Because I know we will definitely need them next week. But looking forward to a good game against a good Panther team. Is the dairy bar still open this late in the year I know it usually is? Always enjoy hanging out there chatting it up and downing a slaw dogs before we play.
  14. Got to see some film on Loretto, looked like a fast Mustang squad this year. Should be a really good game if we can clean up the procedural and mental penalties. We have some speed as well and a great O-line this year. Wish all the guys a great game! Also a safe trip to all the Loretto fans.
  15. We are big and physical, we pushed around a big Waverly team for three quarters. We will be down two starters after they got tossed, will have to wait and see what affect that is going to have. I don't know much about Loretto just what some LC people have told me and I know to never trust an LC fan. lol So if Loretto can hang physically with us should be a great game. Our biggest problem this season is mental mistakes because we aren't lacking in the skill and strength department. The refs that have officiated our games this year have been out more buying Tide to get the grass stains out of their yellow flags than they get paid to officiate the games.
