  1. If Lingo does not call the offense SC is doomed.
  2. Thank you goobers for reassuring everyone on Coacht just how dumb you really are. You are an embarrassment to SC football but I still don't think you are a true SC fan. Just an idiotic imposter trying to make SC look bad.
  3. The fact that you refer to Steve Brewers son as JB let's me know you are still a child. SC football coach is not child's play. Does your mommy and daddy know you are on the Internet.
  4. Sure. They are called reality pills. 100mg. You can find them at the truth store.
  5. Now sdot your latest comments is in the category of goobers89. Not the ones about me but I don't think you even know the coaches at SC or anyone at SC for that matter.
  6. Goober89 is a complete idiot and truly knows nothing about SC. You heard it here first.
  7. Of course Benny will name his son the coach so the tradition of playing the worst teams in east tennesse will continue.
  8. From what I have been told the pope kid did leave but none of the players are upset about it. I guess there is more to football than just being a good player at SC.
  9. WOW! That article looks just like one I remember ready about 15 or so years ago. HAHA. All the talk on here or hush hush about players not being at practice or not playing or being injured is really trivial in my opinion. Fact is Maryville is going to line 11 high school football players against 11 high school football players from Sevier County and they are going to play a game. One team will win and one team will lose and everyone there tonight will move on with their everyday life tomorrow one way or another. While it is sad that for for some kids that tonight will be their last tim ever playing this great game of football, it is the reality of the day. So once again, hope all players remain safe and healthy, hope the winner of this game wins it all, hope that the mutual respect by these two teams and fans remains intact after the game and GO BEARS!! Man I feel like I am getting all philisophical all of a sudden and it makes me feel old.
  10. I do agree that losing the defensive lineman would be a tough loss for most places but regardless of how good he is, it seems Maryville always has another guy just waiting to step in and shine. Very funny about the car wash but I heard that the Maryville band director was caught on tape sneaking into the SCHS band room and stealing the music sheets for tonights game...haha. Now back to reality. As far as Sevier County is concerned this is all you can asked for, a chance to redeem yourself against a very embarrassing loss which just so happens to be the only blemish on another wise great season. I am not saying that I think SC will win the game (although I sure hope they do) but if they can just go in and play a great game and keep it close I think it will help start what could be a great rivalry. I think it is safe to say that SC is one of the top 3 6A teams in East Tennessee year in and year out with Maryville of course being 1 and either SC or DB being the 2-3. My top 10 reason why this should be a great rivalry: 1. Very respected programs 2. Great head coaches 3. Great coaching staffs 4. Great players year in and year out 5. Classy players and coaches 6. Great fans that pack the stands 7. Mutual respect and admiration from players, coaches, and fans 8. Nice facilities 9. Best 6A football in East Tennessee 10. Fun offenses to watch Notice I did not say great concessions because I have not heard too many good things on here about the Maryville concessions. Hope both teams play injury free and the winner goes and gets the Gold Ball. GO BEARS
  11. I just read the article on the Jackson kid and he is definitely going to make some D-1 school very happy in the near future. Maybe I should go to SCHS and show Manning the movie clip from Remember The Titans so he will know how to deal with big, fast defensive linemen (where sunshine flips that big ole boy and then the Titans just run away with the game). Just Kidding. But back to reality, I am a very big VOLS fan so could some of you Rebel fans start using the word VOLS in everyday language around this Jackson kid so he will be brainwashed into picking Tennessee. Example: You - Boy is sure is a beautiful Vol morning, with all the orange leaves. Jackson - Did you say a beautiful VOL morning. You - VOL, no,no, I said a beautiful FALL morning....hahaha, VOL morning. But I bet it is beautiful over on the Tennessee campus this morning too. Okay, very corny example I know but you do get my point, try to get they kid in Volunteer orange.
  12. The ole switch was due to Dorians best friend Cody Paul who got a season ending injury at DB. Cody wears 34 so Dorian wore 34 for about 3-4 games.
  13. I asked my buddy that lives in Johnson City and follows Science Hill and he said that one guy might be a little banged up but that they were are playing and feeling confident about their chances. I think his neighbor or something plays for SH because he seems to always be in the know.
  14. Finally a SC thread that is fun. Now 38 you aee probably just jealous because we have beaten you all so badly the past few years, oh wait everyone has beaten you all badly. And 45, you cannot get a job because you lack wisdom and integrity. Hey 45 are you a Cookeville fan or just horrible team like your new buddy 38? You must be too ashamed to say
  15. Just come watch and we will see who is making fun of who come Saturday morning.
  16. Just come watch the game and then tell me we are not the fastest team you have played this year. Oh, and tell me which team you played that is faster...that is all I ask
  17. I am not arguing that SC district is weak, but T$$AA controls that, which is why Coach Brewer went out a picked up Bearden (who is usually good), Dobyns-Bennett (who is always good), and Maryville (who we all know about). Not many teams would take that kind of an out of conference chance with the playoffs the way they are now. And for the record, SC is the team that had 10 starters out, I was just saying that SC would not have beaten Maryville fully loaded and Maryville having 10 starters out. It is called reading comprehension, you know reading and being able to understand what you just read. Try it sometime.
  18. erell38, I am guessing you have never seen us play, but I especially guess you have not seen us play this year. If so, what game? And 45, pioneer said that the 4.5's were hand held time and the NFL combine is electronic time., which by the way, the 2013 NFL combine had 97 guys run in the 4.5's or faster. I think 97 is a fairly high number for electronic timing and you said that a 4.5 hand held is more like a 4.7-4.8 electronic time. The NFL combine had over 200 run 4.8 or faster in just the 2013 combine. So you are saying that it is impossible for a high school kid to run 4.5 hand held time. Like I said, come to the game and then honestly say that this is not the fastest high school team you have played this year, or last year, or the year before that. Remember, you did not play Fulton.
  19. Well, I guess you guys will just have to wait until Friday night to see just how fast we are. And by the way, we had like 10 starters out against Maryville. We would NOT have beaten Maryville if we had all of our starters and Maryville was missing 10 starters but I do think the game would have been a little more respectable. I think if we would have been at full force, Maryville would have won like 42-21 or something. It would have still been a beating but not quite as bad of a beating. Anyway, I would like for you to come on this thread when the game is over and honestly say that we are not the fastest team you have played all year. I mean no disrespect but there are not many teams that play the style of ball we do which is why the only two teams we have lost to in the past 3 years is Maryville and Dobyns-Bennett (which has two freshman playing quite a bit at UT right now.)
  20. Now there are different levels of fast. Are we talking guys that run like a 4.7 or 4.8 or are we talking about guys that run like a 4.5 or 4.4. Sevier County is considered a pretty fast team around here and they have about 10-15 guys that run 4.5 or faster with a few in the 4.4 range. They have a very good offense that when clicking is hard to defend but their defense is not very good against the run game. They defend the pass well but no has had to rely on their passing game because of their ease running the ball. Sounds like it could be a good ball game. I am going to say SC wins in a nail bitter 3-2. Just kidding, SC 56 to probably around 35 or 40 depending on how good the Cookeville offense runs the ball.
  21. I have never seen Cookeville play football or any other sport for that mattter, so does anyone have any insight on what the Smoky Bears might see this friday night. Air attack, ground attack (I sure hope not). Skinny fast guys, big slow guys...skinny slow guys or big fast guys. Also, what color is Cookeville. I keep picturing them as being dark blue and orange but I have no idea why. I guess cause they are the cavaliers and Virginia is the only other Cavaliers I know of.
  22. Jefferson County always plays Sevier County tuff. Regardless of record, size, speed, or talent, Jeff. Co. always shows up for this game. I think it will be close because Sevier County just does not seem to have a good defense when it comes to stopping the run. They have the athletes to stop the passing game but just cannot stop the run. I am not sure if it is bad play calling or just bad play but Sevier County cannot stop the run. I am leaning more toward play calling because I have seen these guys make plays so I know they can do it. However, on the other side of the ball, it is a totally different story. Not sure Jefferson County has any answers for the Smoky Bear air attack...now that will be fun to watch.
  23. I am by no means a DB fan, I am a Sevier County fan. However, this is absolutely crazy talk. If you look at DBs out of conference schedule, they played Farragut who is usually a very respectable opponent for anyone in the state of Tennessee, Sevier County, whose only loss this year is to Maryville and SC is ranked in the top 10 in 6A. Ooltewa (or however it is spelled) who is ranked in the top 5 in 5A, and East Hamilton who is ranked in the top 5 in 5A. That is a pretty tough out of conference schedule. Not to mention they scrimmaged Greenville who is a top 2 team in 4A and Maryville who is the number 1 ranked team in 6A. I think they have done plenty to get ready for the post season.
  24. my question is how does the Bearden coach keep his job. Sure he had a good record when Devrin Young was there but I think most of use that know a little football could have won with that guy. all I heard this preseason was about a Bearden team that was huge and "loaded" with talent. they were supposed to give Maryville a run for their money this year. What a disappointment. so does the Bearden faithful care enough about football to make some noise or are they just ready for basketball, baseball, and soccer season.
