For the analysis of this game let's take a look at Numbers 13:30-33. In these verses, you have two different perspectives. You have one man that had confidence in his people and wanted to overtake a land. Then you have other people that said they could not take the land because the people in that land were very great, strong, and like giants. Then in chapter 14:4, it says they chose a captain to lead them into the promised land. Let's relate this to the South Pittsburg vs. Polk County game. Their are a lot of people saying Polk is strong, very great, and like giants. But, their are some from South Pittsburg that has confidence in their team and believe they can defeat Polk and protect their land (field). The question is which side will win out? Will South Pittsburg look at Polk and say they are too great we can't take them and be defeated by half? Or, will the pirates have a captain or leader emerge and say "lets go" we can do this. Only time will tell but the team that believes in each other the most and works as one cohesive unit the best will prevail. The pastor has spoken, the people should listen.
