1. New Field (Check) 2. New District (Check) (maybe) 3. New Coach???????????, ( Check at a later date) I guess two out of three not bad It seems our expectations have dropped to the basement as we wish for a new district, what will be the excuse then HC????

Sorry I entered this via my phone, never said it started with KCHS we just done a great job growing it.

Let me add some detail about this, we had him at KCHS and he was treated like he had already signed a D1 offer and was being graded for his draft slot in the NFL, much of this youngs mans ego comes from having a coach like we have at KCHS that hangs his hat on a player like this and puts him above the rest of the team, when that happens any kid is going to eat it up and embrass the attention, I truly feel like the adults in this kids life is to blame for making more of his talents then is really there, do doubt he is a good athlete but, if the truth is he was kicked out of CPA as the tale goes around then we see embrassing talent and making a kid more then he is doesn't work, they become bigger and better then their piers thinking they can get away with anything and many times they do as coaches want more wins, hats off to CPA for making a tough call, I am sure he would be welcome back at KCHS regardless of his actions.

we need a HC and then let him pick some talent for OC,DC. Getting a new field though forget the leadership, it will be nice to see the guys have a nice field to play on.

AMEN TO THAT, I heard the money was coming from a couple of business men in the Catholic Family, lets quite complaining about being in 5A 6A or whatever, thats the difference from the coach I played for and the one that is leading our players now, he played anyone win or lose WITHOUT EXCUSES.

Wow great news for the players and the school, to bad we are spending so much on up grading our field and still have the same direction with our program, if your up grading the facility go ahead and up grade the coaching, I guess suitcase will stay to ride that check as long as possible.

just look at facts time is going to do nothing but hurt our program, as some have said on here the admin DOESN'T care about the sports so what better way to crush a program then bring a coach in that your top supports wants out, logic PLEASE

No he does not have a realitive working on that staff anymore, the Kerbyson kid will not be there if the same HC is there you can bank on that.

No doubt that team has been good but they are playing with a whole lot of kids that will NOT be attending KCHS, and I know for a fact if there is not a new HC Kerbyson will not play there. doesn't matter what players we get we have a HC that needs to go, I attened a party over xmas break and a whole lot of the EXSISTING players were present and almost all that had anything to say said the same thing they wish that a change would happen because its not much fun playing for a coach like they have, just saying

jake, I don't have anything to go on other then the fact that the rumors are he will be the coach next year and I know for a fact that some of the top fund givers have asked for him to be replaced, one of those guys is my best friends dad and he says the info he got was that he is the coach for 2012, sad sad moment for my school, oh well CAK isn't far to go watch much better football.

Was wishing for a great xmas gift from the KCHS admin but it seems they are going to be a scrouge and keep suitcase meadows around, I for one would say if I knew that the majority of people in my program wanted me to leave and had no respet for me I would go on my own, tells you allot about a guy that stays around for the money. lots of folks upset or just saying they will not continue going to games and such, its a shame considering where we were with the continued success season afetr season, I guess the easiest way to submarine a program is to find a coach that you can stand behind regardless of the cost. I do;t think its if we can play with the big boys for me its the fact that we dont beat the teams we should and we don't compete very well at other times yes there is sometimes we look good but that is when we play schools that are not traditionally very good, the other facts are we can't keep kids coming I know of two very very good football players that were considering KCHS but have been waiting on the coaching move if one happensm just look at the people that this coach as ran off , our number one , two and three boosters many other players that would have been players for us but, has the rumor mill goes the story is the ADMIN love him and think he is the answer, for me I think if you can't look at the facts and make the right decisiom then maybe we need new admin, take a poll AD and you will find that a large % of folks want a CHANGE

no we don't have a coach he pretends to be a coach but coaches don't run off good players they keep them I hope it's true for us KCHS faithful, maybe we could just trade and you guys could have Meadows back

someone posted did they miss something doesn't KCHS have a coach, answer, no we have a guy pretending to be a coach please please let this be true we need change and we need it now, maybe Rankin could un pack his suitcase and Meadows could load it up and go, from what I hear meadows is very upset about not getting the contract renewal that everyone had said he already got, maybe KCHS admin does care more then we know....

You are right the thing is he has taken the program in a direction that suits the admin it seems, maybe the best thing for KCHS is to make sure that they keep the status quo, if a person really looked at the entire situation it is simple make some changes improve the program regardless of win and loss record and regain our respect rather then becoming the school that makes excuses, I graduated from this program and can say without any thought about it our football program needs some BIG TIME changes.

Guys this topic has gotten off track some what, my question was where do we go from here and all the replies are great to discuss that we are playing in a league for big boys and our coaches and admin think we should play with the smaller schools good point but not the over whelming fact of the direction of this program has to do with WHO we play but rather how we are coached to play them, in my eyes the facts are still the same, we have had the most D1 players in Knox county the past few years, we did win state playing in a lower division, we did run off a very good football coach and we did hire a man that has taken our program that families in the community wanted their kids to be in to one that has a seen numbers drop, and as far as the has about 8 kids that will never attend KCHS and are by far the best players on the team, lets keep discussing the size of schools, the teams we play, the future players and all those things and give the admin and head coach a pass on the disstruction of a once proud program.

you mean KCHS is not a fan that has strong beliefs that our football team is in good hands, the funny thing is I was at the game with Harrison Smith while he was in town we talked to alot of parents that all had the same thing to say, the program will be going in a new direction next year as this is Meadows last season on his contract, KCHS if you trully think our program is in good hands then you need to take a look at your ability to even be in the position that you are in if this is trully the AD, someone posetd that we have had more D-1 guys then any other school including those 6A teams and we still could not win, maybe we can try to get classified into a lower district, oh ya we are already doing that. KCHS said he didn't have the time to post any with us idiots, I guess he just doesn't want to hear the facts about the program he has taken from being a proud stand up program to one that excuses its way through the season.

you are all over it, maybe that is the answer keep Meadows and the program stays even with the others, I heard someone say his nick name is suit case Meadows , that would be our luck that he would decied to stay instead of packing his suitcase one more time, has an earlier post said more for money (90,000) then anything else, hey Meadows Heritage is hiring.

IT HAS nothing to do with not making the playoffs it has to do with the programs direction under him it has went down year after year, if the admin took a poll it would be like 75% make a move or more look at the attendance use to our little stands where full every home game there is pleanty of seats every game, making the playoffs should not be the measuring stick it should be things that are much bigger then that and those things have taken a hugh hit. I AM NOT measuring this on wins and losses those are not important the direction of the program IS.

blah blah blah, get it straight the kids ARE NOT the problem, I see you didn't bring up the one compairson I said lets discuss Webb, no doubt we are smaller but you need to see the facts as they are this guy has ran off some of our top supporters has taken a program that once was viewed as one of the best in this area REGARDLESS of winning, the take was we would come to play, when we went from private to 3-AAA we where able to continue our tradition of having a respectful team, the question was ask are we stupid, I think if you look at the facts our program as went back wards but KCHS Coach you keep your eyes focused on supporting the program I will support our kids our players but if the admin would look at the facts they would make the right choice and get the program back on track.

give me a break, we have yet played a team with 2,600 kids farragutt is the largest and they only have 1,600 lets not strech the facts to try and make excuses for a program that has went back wards the past three years, not knocking the players they do work hard god knows it with the meadows marathon practices, our first year out of a state championship we had most of the same players that we won it with we went 6-4 and LOST to Heritage, talk to those guys they all say the same thing coaching coaching coaching, it just seems that we have really went in the wrong direction since the 2008 season, yes we play 6-A yes its not Scott county but we all knew the change was coming and at the time it was happening the word was we will play anybody anytime, now we can't compete and all we do is talk about playing the bigger schools, well lets just look at one game then the Webb game, smaller school we have gotten beat all three years under the new coaching staff, the old staff beat them SEVEN years in a row,at one time we scrimmaged all the bigger schools yes not a game but every time we scrimmaged we dominated whoever it was, so give me a break and stop making excuses, lets support our players yes, but changes in our football program have to be made but at this point I am sure enough excuses have been made for us to continue with the status quo and complain about the schedule again next year.

SAD state of affairs if KCHS admin wants to keep a guy around that has single handed run the program into the ground, I for one will not waste my money to watch such things happen to a school I love so much, I just got a text from one of their upcoming guys that said he will be leaving if he stays, said the three and four hour practice was TO MUCH...

Wow, I just heard that the KCHS admin was going to sign Meadows to a new contract, come on KCHS alum where you at we can't have this for three more years

that is for sure the quicker the better, I know of two families waiting to see if the change will be made before they leave KCHS the funny thing is we use to have players wanting to come to KCHS not leave, please please get it done soon.
