Like I said.. He is an all around great athlete. Yes he was hurt during those games that he had 100+ yards and when he had those interceptions and tackles on defense. Don't tell me his stats I know the team stats as well as any of the coaches do. He's an athlete and that's what athletes do. My only statement that I made was "he was playing injured" how is that bold? It's the truth. Bad knee and wet field do not mix. Ask anyone who has ever played the game. Genius.

#7 has been hurt. Yes he played that game... But his knee has been hurt for weeks. It just finally gave out during the Camden game. Bad knee and wet field do not mix. 7 is a great athlete and I have seen him slip on dry field trying to make cuts bc of his knee. That was during scrimmages. Either way... With or without 7 we have not had a great run game. The only reasons we did the last few years was bc of Johnston. We just haven't had a great line since idk 07'. #7 Patton, is just an all around great athlete. Hopefully his knee heals up and he has a good season next year. And would be awesome if we both made it to round 3. Would definitely be a packed crowd with little breathing room.

Guys. I believe his point was... They did not have trouble that night bc they have a well established run game. Hickman lost their all state RB this year and the good back we had to replace him tore his ACL and has been out. Now we have a sophomore who is not well established yet. Our team relies on passing the ball. The pouring rain wet balls and muddy field kept us from ever establishing a pass game that night. We showed by whooping Camden for 3 quarters what kind of team we have. They scored both their late scores in the last few minutes of the 4th against a prevent defense. Now tell me how Camden can whoop east Hickman and then us whoop Camden and tell me how the rain didn't play a HUGE factor into our game plan and being able to put points on the board. We played with Lewis the whole first half as well... Second half Lewis turned it on and ran away with it. Talk about east all you want Lewis fans... I seem to remember y'all stomping them last year and us losing to them and then us beating you guys twice. It's not a matter of us not being able to score on a mediocre defense it's the fact that when east plays us they are no longer mediocre. It's a big county rival game. Mix that with a flood and you have two teams battling for field goals. Their coach opted to kick one and ours took a risk three times and lost all three.

Correct and if you would have read his previous post you would have seen where he said Hickman got into East's red zone 3 times... Went for Tds and could not get it. Field was too wet. East got the ball into our redone once, bad snap on a punt is the only reason they got put there. East opted to kick a field goal. They have a smart coach no matter what their fans and players say about him. Ending score 3-0. Neither team played well due to the rain mainly bc both teams are big passing teams. East did not out play hickman in the game. Bc both teams played like crap due to the weather.

IMO I don't think the rain ever hurts Lewis THAT bad. Lewis is a strong run team. Not just saying they run more than they pass but literally their backs are always strong and quick. Not as much cuts and shifts like with some speedy teams. Rain may slow Lewis down a bit but they still move the ball due to not being as much shifty as they are just quick and strong up the hole. Lewis will win this one even if it's a bad night in my opinion. Lewis worst game and Camden's best... I still think Lewis takes it due to more athletes and a stronger team. Just my opinion though.

As much as I would LOVE Camden to win this one... Just isn't going to happen. No offense to Lewis County bc I will always go for Lewis over any team besides Hickman. But it just isn't going to happen. This is the best Lewis team I have seen since 07' and 08' years. Lewis wins it. By idk at least 3 scores. Maybe a little closer.. Camden won't go down easy being playoffs and everything. At least if Hickman wins this week it will be a short drive for round 3 for me either way. If Camden wins we host at home and if Lewis wins we drive 20 minutes to the Panther field. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free !

We played West View in the spring. We played them ok, although west view had more scores. We also only had 7 starters during that scrimmage. The rest were at baseball. That made only 6 starters on defense bc at the time they wouldn't let our QB play defense. He is now playing defense. I say Hickman can pull it off. Will be a very equal game by all means. Two great teams and more than happy to make that drive to watch it.

It would be close with him and 24 for defense in my opinion. It weakened us by far with him getting hurt because he was a good corner. But hill has had more tackles Patton had more picks. Both the Patton boys are great athletes. Morgan is a freshman and doing it big this year.

The RB that is out is not the best player. He is a great player by all means. I would say him 4 and 24 are all about the same. 4 and 24 have the best career and season stats though. They are both three year starters. 4 at QB and 24 at Wr and Saftey. 4 usually does not play defense due to keeping him from injury. But played corner all night tonight and played it very well. Our RB actually in my opinion was a better defensive player than anything. That is where we are missing him the most. We have running abilities pretty deep. They aren't all stars but they get their yards and earn them well. South Gibson was a great team and made for one heck of a game. They should have been slinging the ball around more. They couldn't run it on us but they were passing great. Idk why they didn't keep with the pass game more often.

Come on Linden... Get real... Our JV kept you to only one score. Our Varsity only gave up once... And if we would have kept our Varsity in like PC did the entire game... Score would have been 56-7. Going to be close? Psych..

No disrespect to any Camden player or fan, but they are far from being disciplined. Hickman had 2 flags tonight illegal motion and an emproachment. From the beginning Camden players, I won't say were doing it on purpose, but were shoving well after the whistle. They were just being aggressive which is good, but can cost you at times. They would have one huge run, and then next play block in the back right in front of the ref or a hold. It happens every play you just have to watch where you are doing it at. Camden was an awesome team... Huge size great speed, in my own opinion just discipline problems. Also had a false start I believe which happens when emotions run high but just have to watch it. HC suffered from that a lot at the beginning of the season, we'd start drives first or second and 25, and then buckled down midway through the season having less penalties. The penalty we had waved off was for an illegal linemen down field... But our QB had already took off running before he went down field which is why the flag was waved off. Camden's offense started off awesome and then once we drove it down the field and scored just as easily as they did... It seemed like some of Camden's kids just gave up, then kicked it back into high gear late 4th. Good luck to Camden the rest of the season, idk who all they have left but they should win out... Great team and by far had the best size I've seen all year.

We got in the end zone once and it got called back (was a good call, 2 in motion on us) and then we got to the 1 yard line another time, and went for it on 4th. RB slipped and fell an inch short of the line. Our team just can't move the ball in the rain, we are a passing/spread run team. LC is a running team.. Hence why they could score in the rain on Camden. Rain just slowed HC and EH offense down too much for either team to move the ball. East coaching opted to kick a field goal and we opted against it.

Always got thrown in the wrong spot, I meant always stomp east, and then we beat Lewis twice last season. Lewis and HC is usually always down to the wire game.

You are an idiot. And the county is far from blue, if I remember right, centerville is still the only organized city in Hickman... Making it OUR county. You guys are just the outcast cousins that no one claims.

Yeah, that's a couple of East kids have already quit this week... They don't want any ! Just no heart over there anymore. Well I won't say no heart... Just not enough. A few kids have it in them.

And a Lewis fan is one to talk, I remember last year after them losing to us 3 or 4 Lewis fans were on here bad mouthing sharp. And he has done wonders for that town.

Hold on, no... EAST Hickman has a lot of parents like that. Not HCHS. Centerville parents completely support all of our coaches. Even Patterson. I, personally, loved Patterson and hated to see him leave. Was a good friend and coach to me. Still is. It is not out fault we have had so many coaches the last few years, Swenson cried in front of our entire team when he had to announce he was leaving, he only left bc of a head coach opening in his wife's home town, Huntingdon. Patterson left bc of the school board were idiots, I don't blame him. And Rewis is still here and hopefully will stay awhile. East is who gets a new coach every single year.
